PROPOSED FORMAT OF THE REPORT Written | Oral presentation | Multimedia (must also include storyboard or site map with your outline) PROPOSED TITLE OF PROJECT (should reflect the aim of your project): THE GOAL (B) Explain how this topic is based on your personal interest Define the goal of your personal project Explain which area of interaction was used as the context for your project and why Include your specifications for your outcome/product SELECT SOURCES (C) Your bibliography will also show evidence of this criterion Explain what sources you used to help you achieve the goal Evaluate these sources (eg use C.A.R.S.) There should be varied and relevant sources which directly contribute to your goal The approach to research should also reflect the AOI you used as your context APPLY INFORMATION (D) Show how you transferred and applied the information collected during your research & investigation Why you chose these steps/techniques/materials and not others (justify your decisions) What problems you encountered and how your research helped you to create solutions How your research helped you develop your understandings in connection with your goal This requires in-text references to your sources ACHIEVE THE GOAL (E) Evaluate the quality of your outcome/product Discuss to what extent this outcome/product achieved your goal REFLECT ON LEARNING (F) How you have extended your knowledge of the topic How you have extended your knowledge of the focus AOI How you have developed as a learner (ie ATL skills) What new questions or new perspectives do you now have?

Your communication skills are assessed. COMMUNICATE THE REPORT (G) Organize your report according the IBOs required structure Communicate your ideas clearly, coherently and concisely Use correct grammar, sentence structure and diction Use a formal register In writing, use correct spelling and punctuation In speaking, use correct pronunciation and appropriate expression, pauses and pace Adhere to the word/time limit (1500 3500 words for writing and 15 minutes for speaking) Acknowledge sources appropriately (in-text references using MLA style)

Your report will consist of 3 or 4 parts: 1. The title page (on paper) 2. The body of the report (written/oral/multimedia) 3. The bibliography in MLA format (on paper) If your report is oral or multimedia you also need to hand in: 4. A summary of your project (150 words, on paper)
