How to Study & prepare for Exams?

Mood Preparation for studies Think positive, Enjoy the last minute preparations 1) Never fear Exams - Exam is just a reflection of what knowledge you have gained. If proper knowledge has been gained, you will not have to mug up. 2) Think Positive Positive thinking brings about positive vibes. Atmosphere of learning is created in the brain. 3) Be confident --- Believe in yourself -- Yes, I can. 4) Whatever work you do with the right mood, will be done well. This is because you will be able to put your heart and soul into it. You will not think of studies as a burden but derive pleasure out of the learning. (Even when going for a war, mood has to be created. For example, the music band plays patriotic songs to build up the morale of the soldiers.) 5) Develop interest in your studies and see the magic working. Learning will become simpler, easier. 6) As exams are approaching, enjoy your last minute preparations. Self Management Make Your Plan & Work as per the Plan (AIR, FOOD, WATER & SLEEP) 1) Eat well Not too much, not too less. Just a little less than full stomach. Eat nutritious food. Avoid/minimize junk food and fast food. Have sweets in less quantity. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Have a healthy breakfast. Do not avoid breakfast. Over-eating affects memory adversely. 2) What foods to eat? --- The kind of food you eat is very important. We almost never care what we eat. We either eat what suits our palate (what we find tasty) or whatever is convenient or just to fill our stomach. Have you ever thought of eating foods that are beneficial to your brain?.. Eat foods that boost your brain power like almonds, walnuts, dark chocolate, berries, vegetables like Okra(bhindi) etc. Have ample fruits & vegetables, whole cereals etc. Avoid potato during exam-time. 3) Get 6 to 8 hours of sleep. 4) Benefits of getting proper sleep (a)Increased Memory Ample sleep is the recipe for improved memory, which is especially useful for college students who tend to sleep less. Sleep helps your brain retain new information through a process known as memory consolidation. So, adequate sleep translates into better information retention. (b)Better Mood Lack of sleep can leave many people feeling disturbed. Those who dont get enough sleep are usually slightly irritable and dont function well in the morning hours. This is often is blamed on not being a morning person. Truth is though; anyone can be refreshed and be in a better mood as long as they receive enough sleep the night before. (c)Weight Control Not getting enough sleep can contribute to weight gain. Sleep helps regulate your metabolism, so make sure you get enough to avoid obesity.

To Sum it Up Sleep is very important for your health and can leave you with a more keen memory, a better mood and a slim belly. Always remember to listen to your body. When it demands sleep, give into those sagging eyes and find a quiet place to lay your head down. 5) Exercise regularly Running is also a good exercise which (a) clears your mind (b) is refreshing (c) feeling of well-being (d) health Benefits (e) better blood circulation in your body 6) Get fresh air 7) Keep hydrated Have 6-8 glasses of water
