November, Month of the Holy Souls
Mass of Remembrance: Parishioners who wish to have a relative or friend remembered at the Remembrance Mass are invited to submit names to the Parish Office by Wednesday 14th November. We already have the names of those who had a funeral celebration from St Josephs in the past twelve months. Bereavement Group: The annual Mass of Remembrance will be next Saturday November 17th, at 6.30pm. Book of Remembrance: You are welcome to record the names of deceased family members and friends you wish to be prayerfully remembered. Family Groups: The Family Groups of St Josephs are hosting a cuppa following the 10.30am Mass next Sunday. This will also be a great opportunity for those interested to find out more about the role of Family Groups within our Parish. Further information please contact Chris & Jane Thompson 5561 7259. All welcome Memorial Mass: A memorial Mass for Fr Peter Claridge will be held at St Marys Parish, Ararat on Friday 16th November at 11.00am. The principal celebrant will be Bishop Paul Bird CSsR. An Evening of Inspiration with Emmanuel past students: David Atkinson OAM, Gorgi Coghlan, Judith Earls, Sgt Sean Lanigan, Felicity Melican & Michael Turner, along with special guest Adam Elliot. Ecumenical Presentation: The Anglican Diocese of Ballarat are hosting a visit of Esther de Waal, one of todays most celebrated spiritual writers, November 16th at Christ Church Warrnambool. Waark Cultural & Environmental Aboriginal Corporation: This group is engaged in delivering cultural, educational & environmental based works, where the aim is to build understanding, trust and reconciliation and to close the gap between indigenous and non-indigenous people. The final tour for the year is 17th 18th November. Further details in Gathering Space.
