State Lesson Objective & Lesson Agenda Today we are going to be watching our campaign videos and vote on our mascot I Do (10 min) EXPLAIN that we are going to watch our videos from yesterday. You made CAMPAIGN videos, which were videos that you gave your opinions. Opinions are what people think or feel, but not necessarily true (GIVE EXAMPLES of Opinions) Sometimes when we listen to others opinions it makes you change yours. Some people might say things that you really like and you agree (GIVE EXAMPLE) Maybe this videos will make you CHANGE your vote!

On carpet Level 0 Listening Position Yesterday you made campaign videos, which were videos that you gave your opinions. Opinions are what people think or feel, but not everyone has to agree on them. An example would be: My favorite color is Pink. Raise your hand if your favorite color is pink. See, not everybody raised their hand. Listen again. My favorite food in the whole wide world is bananas. Raise your hand if your favorite food in the whole wide world is bananas. See, almost nobody raised their hands and thats ok. Sometimes we listen to others opinions and it makes you change yours. Some people might say things that you really like and that you agree with. Such as, my favorite specials class is PE because I like to run around.and I like the teacher. Raise your hand if you like PE too, See, lots of you like PE maybe I just convinced you that your favorite special class should be PE too. We are going to watch your videos that you did yesterday. I want you to listen very carefully and think. Some of these videos may make you want to change your vote because they gave a really really good reason!

On carpet (listening to story) Level 0 Listening Position Wow Deonte, Promise, and JaQuion are already turning to face the screen in listening position. 117 turn your bodies to face the screen. You all even did that without talking. Wonderful! Remember to be in listening position. We need to be very quiet so we can hear what our friends have to say. What were some different reasons that we heard our classmates saying why we should vote for the bunny or chick. I am looking for quiet hands just like Dayanna. When I call your name, and I am only calling your name when you are sitting in listening position. You are going to go back to your table and write either a B for bunny or a C for Chick on the sticky note that is in front of your seat. When you are finished you are going to bring me your sticky note and we are going to put it in our box. Shiniyah, and Makiyah stand up and walk back to your tables to vote. Thank you for the quiet voices and the walking feet. The rest of you are still looking really good sitting their in listening position. Now we are going to see who won. I am looking for someone in listening position. Brandon, come up here and pull up a slip. What does it say? It says B for bunny so we are going to stick it on this side. We are making a bar graph.
