Pakistan Association of Petroleum Geoscientists (PAPG) and Society of Petroleum Engineers' (SPE) Pakistan Chapter are organizing the Annual Technical Conference (ATC) from December 3 to 5, 2012 at Serena Hotel, Islamabad. A regular annual event, ATC draws a large number of petroleum industry professionals, scientists, academics and members of the related business community. This time we are expecting over 1000 registered delegates from home and abroad. The theme of the conference is "E & P Technologies, Innovations and New Frontiers." Honorable Advisor to the Prime Minister on Petroleum and Natural Resources Dr. Asim Hussain will inaugurate ATC. In addition to more than 40 diverse technical presentations, student paper contest, keynote address by the vice president and exploration advisor of a leading European Exploration and Production companies and a dinner speech by the president of American Association of Petroleum Geologists, Asia-Pacific region, there will be a panel discussion session on the second day of the conference, December 5, 2012, on the theme with special focus on the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan provinces. Heads of companies currently operating and those interested in expanding their activities into these provinces shall deliberate in the session. The chief ministers of the provinces are also invited to attend and participate in the discussion. It is an immense privilege for us to invite you to join this memorable event. Your active participation in the conference will be a source of great encouragement for the participants as well as organizing committee. You are also requested to sponsor one of the many events to enhance confidence in ongoing and future investments in the petroleum sector in the prevailing security-sensitive scenario.
