TYPE G MAT: Staple or pin mat as detailed for mat Type A-F and H-I except use staples or pins on 6" [150] centers without a buried end at the roll ends and at 1" [38] end overlaps. Place a 6" [150] overfold across long rolls at intervals of 50 [15m] or less and staple on 6" [150] centers. STAPLES: Staples and pins shall be in accordance with CMS 671.02.

On short gradual slopes, the matting may be applied horizontally. Excelsior matting Extend mat 2 [600] beyond the break at the top of the slope. 6" [150] Netting must be on top.
