7 Niskayuna High School Students to Sign National Letter of Intent

Michigan, Penn State, North Carolina, Yale, Siena, Marist and Hartford will be the next stop for Niskayuna Student Athletes

On Wednesday, November 14th at 9:15 am, 7 students will be signing National Letters of Intent to play Division I lacrosse for major college programs. The students, 2 girls and 5 boys, will be joined by their families, their coaches, teachers, and school administrators at the new Main Entrance of Niskayuna High School. Girls lacrosse head coach Peter Melito and boys lacrosse head coach Mike Vorgang will be formally presenting the letter of intent to each student athlete. The student athletes and their coaches will be available to speak to the media immediately following the signing ceremony. Here is a brief profile of each of the 7 student athletes: Luke Goldstock: Letter of Intent to attend the University of North Carolina Luke has scored 191 points and 111 goals in his varsity lacrosse career thus far. He is the current school record holder for total points and should be the first player in school history to exceed 200 points. He is a 4 year starter at the attack position. He was named an Under Armour All American in 2012, US Lacrosse All American in 2012, Times Union Player of the Year in 2012, as well as a Suburban Council All Star in 2012. His parents are Len and Maryann Goldstock.

Lucas Maloney: Letter of Intent to attend Penn State University Lucas has scored 165 points and 138 goals in his varsity lacrosse career thus far. He is a 4 year starter at the attack position. He was named an Under Armour All American in 2012, as well as a Suburban Council All Star in 2012. His parents are Steven Maloney and Beth Ognibene.

Evan Quinn: Letter of Intent to Hartford University

Evan has a career record of 35 wins and 6 losses as a goalie. He has 249 saves with a 60% save percentage this far in his career. He was a 2012 team captain, was a 1st Team Times Union All Star, and a 2012 Suburban Council All Star. His parents are John and Ellen Quinn.

Tyler Pantalone: Letter of Intent to attend Siena College Tyler is a midfielder who has been a member of the varsity team in each of his high school years. He has a career face off percentage of 71% thus far. He was a key member of the 2012 Suburban Council and Section 2 championship team which went on to the Regional Finals. He was a 2012 Time Union All Star and Suburban Council All Star. His parents are Mario and Christie Pantalone.

Kelly Schlansker: Letter of Intent to the University of Michigan Kelly has a total of 63 goals and 32 assists in her career this far. She will be a four year starter. She has been recognized as an All Star by the Suburban Council, as well as a number of regional and national recognitions. She will become a part of the very first intercollegiate lacrosse team at the University of Michigan. Her parents are Richard and Laurie Schlansker Dom Sloma: Letter of Intent to Marist College Dom is a midfielder who has been a member of the varsity team for the past 2 seasons. He has 29 career ground balls and was a member of the 2012 Under Armour All American Team. He was also a 2012 Suburban Council All Star. His parents are Richard Sloma and Marilia Rivera. Kina Zhou: Letter of Intent to Yale University Kina is one of the most accomplished swimmers in the entire history of Niskayuna High School. She is a school record 15 Time Section 2 Champion! She is widely recognized as one of the best swimmers in New York State and the United States. Kina is also known for her diversity of events. Her parents are CT and Jing Zhou.
