President Nicolas sarkozy said concerning

Homoparentality and gay-marriage : I am against that. It is crital clear.

II/ situation in the world

Mexico, a country really paradoxal
Adoption and gay-wedding is autorised in the Federal District http://mexico.cnn.com/nacional/2010/08/16/la-suprema-corteaprueba-el-derecho-de-adopcion-a-matrimonios-gay

Some states want to treat homosexuality: the state of Jalisco subsidizes recovery therapy

III/The debate
Subject really controversial
Investigations reports

Opinion polls
And most recurring against arguments

III/The debate
Investigations:
A lot of studies examining children raised by a gay parent or parents have shown

no difference in developmental outcomes as compared with children raised by heterosexual parents

Eight studies have found no higher incidence of homosexual identity or

fantasies in children of gay men and lesbians than would be expected in the population at large. (Bozett, 1989; Golombok et al, 1983; Gottman, 1990; Green, 1978; Huggins, 1989; Miller, 1979a; Paul, 1986; Rees, 1979).
preferences, vocational choices, activities, or favorite TV programs or characters (Golombok et al., 1983; Gottman, 1990; Green, 1978; Green et al., 1986; Hoeffer, 1981; Kirkpatrick, Smith, & Roy, 1981; Rees, 1979)

Seven studies have found no differences in the following areas: toy or game

The debate
Opinion polls
A 2007 poll by CNN and Opinion Research Corp. said 57% of

respondents felt gays should have the right to adopt and 40% said they should not.

In the United Kingdom in 2007, 64% of people said they thought gay

couples should be allowed to adopt and 32% said they should not.

En Mxico, ocho de cada diez estn en contra de adopciones gay segn

encuesta de partido poltico

III/The debate
Most recurring arguments :
The child will not develop normally with homosexual

parents

The child will not have a role-model for the male and the

female gender

The child can end up being homosexual too The only one that we can keep is that children of

homosexuals parents are more exposed to the discrimination and the stress generate by the homophobic ambient BUT

III/The debate
What defend parents, associations :
Millions of children live now in the world with parents of same sex. Millions of children that society ignores If the biologic parent died, the child will be orphelin Its stupid that a single one can adopt and not an homosexual

couple
Ends of discriminations, time for equality

Conclusion
As responsable adults and individuals, we have to consider

the reality of homosexuality. We need to guarantee that children with homosexual parents have the opportunity to find their way without feeling ashamed and make sure that they are always treated fairly with the respect they deserve.
If you have to fight against something, dont fight against

homosexual parenting with the prextext to protect the child but fight against those people who discriminate the child of homosexual parenting
