The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe Novel Study Journal Requirements /18, Final Assignment /7

Journal Over the course of the Novel, we have been writing Journal entries which have focused on what occurred in the novel, as well as what we wonder about based on what has been read. This journal has helped us keep track of our own understanding of the novel. However, a journal cannot serve its purpose if we cannot read or understand what we have written. Before your journals are marked, go back and review what you have written are you able to connect to each entry? If someone else were to read it, would they get a sense of what is occurring in the novel? Verify this by ensuring that each entry has 2 Sentences in the What I learned today section 2 Sentences in the What I want to know section A drawing. These 3 requirements demonstrate a complete entry.

Final assignment Choice 1 POINT OF VIEW


This task requires you create a piece of writing which focuses on part of the novel from the first person perspective of one of the secondary characters. For example, if you were in Tumnuss shoes, what would be happening from the moment the witchs forces arrived at your home until they brought you to her castle? Your Point of View Piece must Be 2 pages long Follow the storyline of the Novel Be in First Person (through the eyes of) Focus on a secondary character (not one of the children)

Choice 2 MAP
On a large piece of paper, 11x17 (the big sheets), create a map of Narnia as described in The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. Using the map in the back of the novel is acceptable, however your map must be drawn (not scanned and printed). Once the map is completed, you must label 5 areas of Narnia and then provide a brief description of each area you labeled. Each description should include The Climate there Who inhabits the area Any important events that occurred there

Choice 3 MISSING PIECE


In the novel, some events take place between chapters and we can only use our imagination to fill in the blank of what happened. This task requires you write a 2 page piece which covers one of those left out events. For example, during their final battle with the witch, we arent shown how Edmund and Peter defeated the witch. This task would have you write the missing pages of what occurred. Your Missing Piece must Be 2 pages long Focus on a missing event from the novel Be written in third person (narrated) Remain appropriate/realistic to the story (no ninjas)
