Configuration Documentation Activity

Activity Activity is used to define Forecast Profile, Macros, and Release Profiles, which can then be used to schedule them in the background using Mass Processing Jobs.

Transaction Code Path

1. Provide the Activity Name and Description

2. under the Header Settings: Provide the Planning Book and Data view Names.

Configuration Documentation Mass Processing Jobs

Mass processing jobs are used to schedule Forecasting runs. Macros and Releases to SNP/ECC I the background. We need to create an activity as a pre-requisite to this step.

Transaction Code Path

/SAPAPO/MC8D Advanced Planning and Optimization Demand Planning Planning Demand Planning in the Background Create Demand Planning in the Background.

1. Provide the Job Number and Name

2. Provide Planning Book, Data View and Version.

Select the Selection ID and Aggregation Level. Selection ID: TEST_MACROS

Aggregation Level: The level at which you are Planning Customer Level D, CPK, T-Zone zip

Select Generate log. Click on Check and Save .the job,

Configuration Documentation Variant creation

1. Go to the T- Code SE38 Execute the program /SAPAPO/TS_BATCH_RUN

2. You will reach to the following screen, and need to select the job number form the Background Job Number drop down field. And Save this as Variant.

3. Here you need to Provide Variant Name and its Meaning and save the Variant.

4. Execute the Transaction SM36-: Define Background Job.

5. After Saving the Job you will reach to the following screen. Under the ABAP Program, provide the relevant details Program Name: /SAPAPO/TS_BATCH_RUN Variant: ZDE_BGJ_STAT_7

Check the Program and Save it.

You will reach to the following screen; here you can edit the job. Just come back from here.

In the Define Background Job screen save the Job.

After saving the job, click on Start condition Tab.

Here you schedule the job. Immediate. Or else you can also give Specific date and time to execute the job.

After scheduling the job, you will reach to the main screen, here you can select job selection to see the job log or you can execute the T-code SM37.

Click on Execute
