The launch of the Whispering Brook 2012 Sparkling Shiraz has been eagerly anticipated and a long time in the making. This most unusual sparkling wine style is uniquely Australian. Rich, full bodied Shiraz is made into a sparkling red wine. This wine has a long tradition and is held in high regard as a festive drink and is a favourite of many winemakers.

Tasting notes
This Sparking Shiraz has a red garnet colour and fine tannins. The wine has a rich and generous palate structure with tantalising flavours, a lively burst of fine bubbles and a lingering finish. The Shiraz fruit was hand picked from a single block at Whispering Brooks estate vineyards. Several months of maturation in French oak hogsheads prior to tirage has added depth, complexity and maturity, which is harmoniously balanced with fresh acidity. Serve lightly chilled and enjoy now for its vivacious fruit and harmonised oak tones. A perfect match for duck, turkey and pork dishes and a natural for a barbecue.
