M: F: NF: P: M: F: It Subj

It looks like a pizza It Subj It Subj / / It looks as if you made it yourself + + looks + Verb (look) p.s. + like/as if like + + you made it yourself. phrase containing a verb. + + + + looks Verb (look) p.s. + + like like + + a pizza noun a pizza noun

doesnt + look + like + (does not) + Verb (look) p.s. + like +

May confuse meaning of feel I feel like a carrot I feel like going to the bar (meaning I want) Deal with this alternative use if it comes up. Ss may need clarification that looks like can be followed by a noun or a phrase with verb but that a noun can only come after like and NOT as if.

It looks as if you made it yourself. Do I know you made it yourself? Do I think you made it yourself? Do I imagine from looking at it that you made it yourself? If it looks as if you made it yourself do I think you bought it in a shop?
