PROFILE
My name is Sam Forbert, I have a bachelors degree in Music Business and Record Production, and have been directly and indirectly involved in the Recording Industry my entire life. Professionally, Ive spent the past six years working throughout the Nashville Music Business and Live Production, in both an office setting, and on the road with various Rock and Country acts. I specialize in Artist Management and Live Production, but am trained in almost every aspect of the Recording Industry.

Sonia Leigh is a member of Zac Browns Southern Ground Artists (Record Label). She and her band tour both as a headlining, and a supporting act. The band spends most weekedns playing as direct support for Zac Brown Band throughout their North American tours. When not opening for Zac Brown, the band spends their time playing headlining dates and touring with acts including Eric Church, Brantley Gilbert, Uncle Kracker, and Willie Nelson, across North America. Sonia Leigh, like Zac Brown, is managed by ROAR Nashville. With Sonia, in many ways, being Southern Grounds most promising up-and-comer, I spent most of my time at ROAR focusing my attention to her. In September of 11, we were preparing Sonia for a very busy upcoming year on the road, and I was initially sent out to briefly tour with the group and evaluate and restructure the ways in which daily operations were being carried out. After a few weeks on the road, I returned to Nashville, to soon be presented with the proposition to work full-time with Sonia and her band, out on the road. I accepted the job and have had the pleasure of working over a year with Sonia, and her band, as well as the countless other acts weve shared the road with.

P R O D U C T I O N M A N A G E R / T O U R C O N S U L T A N T, UNCLE KRACKER 2012-2013 While out with Sonia Leigh, we went out on an 8-week run with Uncle Kracker, as he prepared for his upcoming album release in 13. During that time, I worked with the UK band and crew, working as the Production Manager for the entire package, advancing gear, scheduling, working with radio DJs and emcees, etc.. Sonia took the fall of 12 off to prepare writing her next album, and during that time, I was contacted by Uncle Krackers Tour Manger, and presented with the opportunity to work for them throughout their Fall tour with Brantley Gilbert, running Production and influencing operations. During my run with the tour, I got the chance to work with, Uncle Kracker band/ crew, Brantley Gilbert band/crew, Greg Bates band/crew, DareMighty MGMT, BigMachine MGMT, TopDog Records, Atlantic Records. INTERN, ROAR, NASHVILLE TN 2011-2012 Immediately out of school, I began working as an intern in the ROAR Nashville office in January of 11. Although I still work and collaborate with ROAR on a daily basis, I consider my official employment with the company to have ended when I began getting paid by Southern Ground Artists. ROAR Nashville specializes in music business and manages various artists across multiple genres of music, including, Zac Brown Band, Gaelic Storm, Joey + Rory, and Sonia Leigh, among others. A R T I S T M A N A G E R , B I G S T E P M A N A G E M E N T, N A S H V I L L E T N 2 0 0 6 - 2 0 1 1 In 2006, I began booking local Rock and Metal shows for various venues around Nashville. As I found myself interacting with some of the same bands on a more frequent basis, I began developing relationships with these artists. One of the bands asked if I could assist in booking some out of town dates for them, in hopes of expanding their fan-base, and I soon found myself booking small tours and runs for the group throughout the region. Word spread throughout the local music scene that I was booking successful tours for these guys, and within the year, I found myself booking various tours for six different artists. Over time, I began to develop my skills, while meeting various artists, promoters, producers, and media reps throughout the country, and I wanted to expand my operation. So, I began taking on clients as a full-scale manager, working with them for periods lasting anywhere from 2 months to 2 years, and handling everything from renting rehearsal spaces, to booking studio time and negotiating recording contracts.
