UAB MEDICINE DECKS aND PaRKING LOTS 4th Avenue Deck 4th Avenue South and 18th Street South; entrance on 4th Avenue South The 4th Avenue Deck is the main parking deck for patients, families, and visitors to UAB Hospital and the UAB Women and Infants Center; the deck connects to the North Pavilion through a second-oor bridge. Parking rate is $2.00 for the rst hour and $1.00 for each additional hour, with a maximum of $6.00 per day. Outpatient clinics may offer a reduced validation rate. Discount parking option for 4th Avenue Deck ONLY: 30-day = $100.00 or 7-day = $30.00. Both options are non-refundable passes and allow unlimited access to this deck for one car only. University Boulevard Deck University Boulevard (8th Avenue South) and 19th Street South; entrance on University Boulevard Public parking is available in the University Boulevard Deck. Parking rate is $2.00 for the rst hour and $1.00 for each additional hour, with a maximum of $6.00 per day. Women and Infants Surface Lot 6th Avenue South and 18th Street South; entrance on 18th Street South In addition to the 4th Avenue Deck (see above), patients and visitors to the UAB Women and Infants Center can use the valet and surface lot parking area in front of the Center. Valet parking is available at no extra charge. Parking rate is $3.00 for the rst hour and $2.00 for each additional hour, with a validated maximum of $9.00 per day. On Saturdays and Sundays, there is a at rate of $5.00 per day. Spain Rehabilitation Center/Center for Psychiatric Medicine Parking Lot In front of Spain Rehabilitation Center; entrance on 4th Avenue South Parking is available in the surface lot directly in front of Spain Rehabilitation Center/Center for Psychiatric Medicine. Valet parking is available at no additional charge. During the week, parking rate is $3.00 for the rst two hours and $1.00 for each additional hour, with a maximum of $8.00 per day. On Saturdays and Sundays, there is a at rate of $3.00 per day. Long-term Parking Lot 4th Avenue South and 17th Street South Long-term parking is available for families of extendedstay patients in the lot across 5th Avenue South from the Women and Infants Center. Parking rate is $3.00 for the rst hour, or a $4.00 at fee for more than one hour per day. Weekly passes are available for unlimited entrances and exits at no additional cost. A weekly pass costs $20.00 per week and can be purchased at the attendants booth in the lot. The rate for the long-term lot applies 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Kirklin Clinic of UAB Hospital Parking Deck 6th Avenue South and Richard Arrington Jr. Boulevard (21st Street South); entrance on 6th Avenue South This deck connects to the The Kirklin Clinic of UAB Hospital through a second-oor bridge. Validated parking rate for patients is $0.50 per half hour, with a maximum of $4.00 per day. Parking rate for the general public is $2.00 per half hour, with no maximum. Valet parking is available for a $2.00 fee in addition to the standard rate for deck parking. (Discount parking is available for senior citizens age 55 or older, who can purchase a book of 30 parking coupons for $25.00. CITY OF BIRmINGham PaRKING AuThORITY Five Points South Deck Magnolia Avenue and 20th Street South; entrance on Magnolia Avenue, behind the Hotel Highland The Five Points South parking deck is not within walking distance of UAB Hospital. Parking rate is $4.00 per day. Long-term parking also is available; call (205) 254-2629 for information. DART trolley The DART trolley runs six days a week; fare is 25 cents per ride. The Green Line/Southside Loop runs from Five Points South to UAB Hospital, with stops around the UAB campus and the Medical Center District.
