Pastor Wes to Bill

February 1, 2009 10:00 AM A few things about video this week, Bill....first, I'd like to show a video as a part of the sermon...go on youtube and look for a video entitled "Dick Hoyt,
February 1, 2009 8:15 AM
Greetings in the Nam e of Christ
Greetings in the Nam e of Christ a Real Hero". It is 4:17 long and I would like to use it as the bridge between my sermon and our time of communion.

PRELUDE Look at the video and advise.....
CALL TO WORSHIP Do you think we could use this as an offertory for the day - show it while we collect the offering after the sermon....or do you think it needs people's
CALL TO WORSHIP complete attention

Also - two other things...please know that we will be doing sung communion again this month - the words for people to sing in response are at #2257
in The Faith We Sing.

And, please create an announcement slide that asks people to silence their cell phones as they come into worship.

Thanks Bill. Let me know what you think about that video - best as part of the sermon, or best as a reflection during the offertory? Feedback by
tomorrow would be helpful if you can do it.

Just to keep you up to date on the plan, Bill - I will be using that video as the closing illustration for my sermon. So, please plan to do a slide show
during the offering that will show images of "running to win the race". The sermon will contrast the Super Bowl's definition of "winning and losing" with
a Christian understanding of "victory in Jesus".

I'll send more as the sermon unfolds.
