# ASSIGNMENT: Assessment Analysis

At the beginning of the school year, Miss Keetow, a first grade teacher, conducted four formative assessments with her students: Letter Name Fluency, Letter Sound Fluency, Phoneme Segmentation Fluency, and Nonsense Word Fluency. The following pages contain Miss Keetows class data. Your assignment is to choose ONE of the assessment categories used by Miss Keetow and analyze Miss Keetows class results. Then, arrange students into instructional groups. The class should be divided into five levels: Average, Above Average, Well Above Average, Below Average, and Well Below Average. You might have more than one group in a level. Once you have placed students into instructional groups, explain what other type of information would help you understand the lowest and highest students strengths and weaknesses. An important part of this assignment is your ability to justify your groups. As a teacher, you will group students for many reasons. You should be able to explain why and how you establish groups.
