Grade 2 Cecchetti Classical Ballet and upwards For students 8 years old and above, 2 ballet classes per week is usual and necessary for good progress. Whilst it is still possible to progress with one class per week this is beneficial for students so as not to fall behind their peer group level. Therefore if you are interested in being a part of an Eisteddfod team, it is now essential to participate in two ballet classes (your grade class plus your grade and troupe class). Senior Jazz and Contemporary classes-1 offered, however if price is too steep you can chose to have only a 1 hour class (whereby you will not be required to learn the more advanced technique) All classes offered will be dependent upon numbers.

UNIFORM
i-Dance prefers Paperartzi 535 High Street, Echuca for all of their Dance Needs! Paperartzi does not stock all dance items, however if you order something before 12 Monday it will be there within the week! Ph.: 54 803801 CLASSES COMMENCE FEBRUARY 4TH AND RUN ALONGSIDE THE SCHOOL TERM

JAZZ UNIFORM-take any black t-shirt or singlet to Hip Pocket Workwear, Echuca and have our logo sewn on for $7.50( you can also ask for your name on your shirt if you like!) Wear a black leotard underneath with black leggings, legging shorts or harem pants and tan(new color-only once you grow out of your old shoes) jazz shoes available from Paperartzi, High, St, Echuca. BALLET UNIFORM-Cecchetti color skirt, leotard (and crossover for winter) with flesh stockings and pink ballet shoes available from Paperartzi, High St, Echuca- New colors: lilac for Gr. 1& 2,cerise/boysenberry for Gr. 3 & 4 and aubergine/plum for Gr. 5 & 6 (but, please dont bother getting the new uniform until your daughter has grown out of her old one!) CONTEMPORARY UNIFORM-as jazz or ballet uniform (convertible tights) with foot thongs. HIP-HOP UNIFORM- skate type shoes, long, loose pants, confortable t-shirt/jumper.

HAIR for GIRLS

Classical ballet students: Hair must be in a very neat and tight bun with no fringes or wisps of hair, fixed with gel, hairspray, pins and hairnets. The bun should be at the back of the head in line with the middle of the ears JAZZ and Contemporary: very neat ponytails, braiding or buns, with minimal wisps, hair or fringes unfastened. Grooming is an essential part of your dance training, assisting in the establishment of discipline, creativity and artistry!

FEES FOR 2013

Prices: (please wait to be advised-there will be a minimal change from 2012 fees which were based on $11 per class). Accounts will be distributed for the term, with 30 day terms thanks. Pay as you go classes are $23 each PLEASE CONTACT JACQUI IF YOU ARE HAVING DIFFICULTY PAYING FEES (we will sort something out!)

Costumes will remain the property of the student; this is not a hire fee! If you child or children participate in more than one class per week the second class and thereafter will receive a 10% discount. IMPORTANT: please let Jacqui know if you are not intending on participating in your class next year, thanks.

2013 CONCERT DATES

REHEARSAL: Friday December 6th between 4 and 8.30 PERFORMANCE: Saturday December 7th at 7pm and Sunday December 8th at 1pm

Dance as though no body is watching

Learn correct dance technique! Jacqui has had 25 years teaching experience, plus 40 years of training, including professional dancing abroad with IM Co. Japan. Qualifications include B.Ed., Assoc.Dip.Cecchetti, Dance Skills set trainer (Ausdance), VET (Vocational Education and Training) and VCE (Victorian Certificate of Education) dance teacher, Teacher of Modern Dance Education Syllabus, Cert.4 in training and assessment, First Aid Certificate, Echuca College Dance Teacher and Rock Eisteddfod coordinator. Classes include Kinda Dance, Classical Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz and Hip-Hop(separate class), ages 3-adult. Students are offered Eisteddfod experience for enjoyment, to encourage and improve performance skills, not to encourage competition. Current studio:semi-sprung floors, mirrors, Barres, heating and cooling, off street parking, two studios with large carpet foyer at Echuca College, Butcher St, Echuca. Membership: Ausdance. TEACHERS: Holly has successfully obtained her VET Dance, Certificate 2 in Dance, First Aid, is currently training in 2nd year VCE Dance, Skills Set for Dance Teachers, Advanced Cecchetti Ballet, Advanced Jazz and contemporary, including annual dance summer school training. Kiennan has successfully obtained his Cert 4 in fitness,Cert 1 in Dance, First Aid and takes quarter yearly hip-hop classes in Melbourne. Assistant teachers are students chosen from the school that possess excellence in dance technique, performance, personal skills, morals and values and common knowledge.
