Key Presenters
Dr. Thomas Wirschem Dr. Wirschem is based in National Semiconductor’s European Headquarters in
Fürstenfeldbruck. He is responsible for the technical marketing of high-speed
Interface, Ethernet and Timing products.
Dr. Wirschem joined National in 1998. Prior to his assignment at National, he
Product Marketing Manager worked as a field application engineer for ATMEL covering the AVR and ARM based
Interface Division Europe controllers, programmable logic devices (FPGAs) and non-volatile memory product
families.
He holds a diploma in physics as well as a PhD from the Technical University in
Munich/Germany. The main topics of his PhD thesis were semiconductor physics
and optoelectronic interfaces.
