Values are to some extent what a person has faith in, or a practice that has an important effect to a person. Values has its significance either a person is conscious of values or not, any person has a set of own values. Values may begin mainly triviality, such as disturbed for other people to hard work. In order for a person to live a contented and constructive life, one should build up own personal values. Building up personal values will boost self-esteem and individuality. As soon as a person is conscious of own personal values a person will be capable of appreciating ones values by regarding the person may notice as to what decision to make as the case may be. A personal value system is a set of principles or ideals that drive or guide a person's behavior. Personal values are the ideals or principles that guide a persons actions by which any person recognize the important effects to each individuality. Values can be built up through the guidance particular to individuals by our parents, teachers, and our older generation. We as well build up our values from our day- to- day familiarity in life. Personal values are not general however are exceptionally exclusive and personal, varying from a person to another they are to some extent alike in various manners relative to our traditions, belief, race, political principles, environment, social status, and the traits of our qualities. We attach importance to our values and let them to manipulate our thoughts, feelings, and actions. My personal values were applied by the manner I was nurtured by my family, helping out other people, trustworthiness, compassion, individualism, reliability, kindness, sociability, and act toward individuals the manner I want to be treated. me to mold my personal values were my ancestors, parents, and my priest at church. Although I was raised and trained customely to act toward other persons, which was to do unto others what I want others to do unto me. None the less, I exercise the golden rule and show my values individually and in the performance of my job. I applied my values to make judgments and decisions in play to reflect the company values as well knowing that with these values I am confident to fulfill my goals and purpose in life. I establish my decision-making position effective by weighing what is right and what is wrong and every so often the values at my work have to be uttered into discrete expressions to turn out the condition appropriately. For example, a patient of mine has a bathroom plan to follow, meaning the patient has to be brought to the bathroom every two hours, and the coworkers keep to that plan. Except that before the end of the two hour duration the worker must bring him to the bathroom but he has soiled himself already and this is wrong, I am familiar that our company prepared the plan for a purpose though occasionally the staff has to use own discretion in a condition there is a need to lax the policy or the plan as the case may be. I understand that I may perhaps go to the bathroom in excess of one time in the duration of two hours so I must act toward that patient the manner that I want other person to act toward me. For that reason, whenever I am performing my task with this patient I bring him to the bathroom more frequently than once every two hours. I suppose that it was most suitable discretion to cope with the circumstances in this way as it was appropriate action for the patient. Occasionally a person must let own personal values be applied in the decision-making process in his capacity and responsibilities in his job because at times the values in the company or organization may not reveal sufficient understanding, or concern to bring about the duty to function effectively.

As soon as a person is in a human services profession the adequate learning and training will be required. A thorough evaluation of the persons values and behavior, and a constant reevaluation of the persons personal concerns and personal development are as well necessary. A human services worker has an excellent product when the person practices upstanding values and ethics and an aspiration to lend a hand to others. The person should be conscious of its own values and way of life to be a respectable human service professional. Our values pertaining to our work provide us a path and drive to our career. The hard work, duty, and enthusiasm which an individual gives the company are an indication to the values that the individual fulfill in the job. As a human service professional, my tasks consist of the safety, safeguard, progress, and treatment of people with developmental disabilities. The troubles that many of my patients confront are that their deficiencies are unable to nurture them. In human services profession, the truth that people are unique should be given respect or regard. On the other hand, there is a generality where every personal values and ethics should unite to respect what is right, moral, and legal. An ethical problem, at my work that I have undergone with slight dilemma because of the likeness involving ethical practice and my own beliefs, is taking something that does not belong to him is an example of this problem. The patients in my group are constantly receiving contributions from external organizations. Our company has a tough rule for stealing. I have witnesses I a coworker stealing a comforter set from a patients room and put it in his car. This goes against ethical practice and my personal belief and I had no difficulty telling to my supervisor what I had witnessed. My values and beliefs are to recognize that stealing is wrong and the coworker has been written up and warned about stealing. Though personal values and ethics are particular, professional moral and ethical values are set as standards that should be

arranged by members of every profession to keep in accordance with the socially accepted ethical morality. I possess my own personal values and ethical standpoints that were demonstrated to me from the time I was a young person I applied these personal values and ethical behavior in my day- by-day by being professional and personal. Nevertheless, there are concerns that I have coped with in my position as a residential counselor by which my personal values and ethics get in contrast to the perspective and behavior of the patients and the guiding principles, actions and outlook undertaken by my organization I work for. One more ethical problem, that I have encountered trouble in ethical practice because of a difference between ethical practice and my personal values was in an instance in which a patient had a medication replacement which has cause him to become reliant than usual. This replacement of medication was ordered by my supervisor and this replacement was given to the patient for the reason that my supervisor would not like to deal with the manner or to listen to this specific patient chatter repeatedly. The mediation has this patient extremely sedated, sedated to the actuality that he could not eat by himself or keep up his head. The medication replacement was given to the patient since his records stated negative behaviors to the doctor and was written by different staff in the home under the supervisors orders. Assuming this patient came up with such kind of attitudes in spite of this, dispensing this highly sedation merely to the pleasure of a person is unethical and is cause detriment to the patient in different means. My personal values to this instance is that I consider this to be wrong for the reason that I do not think that any person must be under the influence of medication which inhibit the patient from functioning as normal person. The patients dignity was taken from him and caused him to be unacceptable/ invalid, and therefore we as human services workers should be performing to the most favorable concern for our patients. Personally and professionally I was disappointed with my supervisor

though the records of the patients conduct were merely reason for the patient to be on the medication. Nevertheless, I could not act otherwise regarding this matter since every necessary acts and guidelines were implemented the manner the situation is to be addressed. Even if I considered, we were breaching one of the Ethical Standards for Human Service Professionals, which states that Human service professionals always hold in the highest regard the integrity and wellbeing of the patient. Every patient must be regarded with deference, favorable reception, and self-esteem (National Organization for Human Services, 2009). In this case, I believe that we were not caring for the wellbeing of this patient. This decision-making process to determine this result was entirely contrary to my personal values and beliefs. This case caused me to build up a difference with my supervisor and in accordance with Statement 23 of the Ethical Standards for Human Service Professionals as soon as a human service professional has a difference with a coworker, I should first examine and analyze the problem in a try to get along with the badly behaved coworker.
