The December Meeting of the Raleigh Association of Insurance Professionals is our annual Christmas Party on Monday, December 10, 2012 at 18 Seaboard Restaurant, 18 Seaboard Avenue #100, Raleigh. See the information below. REMEMBER to bring a wrapped gift to trade (limit of $10). And please bring canned or other non-perishable food items for the Food Bank.

It isnt even possible that this is December 2012.but I guess it is. I hope you are all ready for the holidays as best as you can be. If not, please be patient out there in the crowds of ciaos. I am excited about our upcoming Raleigh Association of Insurance Professionals Christmas Party, this Monday evening, 12/10/12 at 18 Seaboard. Please come and join us for the fun and fellowship. We will be exchanging gifts (dirty Santa style) w/a cost of $10.00 or less. If you dont make it to the Christmas Party, we will surely miss you and I want to personally wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Pecans I will have the balance of availability with me at the Christmas Party if you would like to pick up any. This is what I have left as of today: a. Operation E.D.I.T.H.
Its that time of year again and supplies are in. If you are not familiar with this program, it is Exit Drill In The Home. This is a Fire Safety project with materials for young children to educate them on a safe way to exit their home if a fire emergency is happening. Let me know how many you would like. I have approximately 250 left to distribute.
Education / No Report / Update: IIANC working with Pam Grimes on presenting a class Public Relations / No Report / Update: Teresa Fannin won CWC at State Convention Employment Jeanne Hess, Program Chairperson, as printed in the PINECONE. Safety Jeanne Hess reminded membership that supplies were still available to educate on the Fire Prevention program called EDITH Bylaws / No Report Legislation / No Report Parliamentarian Wanda Manning, Program Chairperson convention was discussed. Janet to attach convention report with minutes. Membership Jeanne Hess one new member, Lisa Bailey, to report. Jeanne asking for volunteers to help with retention of membership. Several members volunteered to communicate with members as an ongoing project. Jeanne will be sending an updated membership list to all members. New Business Wreaths were brought in and the members discussed where to deliver the wreaths and who would deliver. Katy Willet & Janet Davis volunteered to deliver the wreaths to local nursing homes. They will report on this at the December meeting. Region II convention Raleigh in charge of table decorations. More to come. National in Florida in 2013 (06/06-08/2013) Wanda is getting a condo if anyone is interested in accommodations; please contact Wanda. Pam Grimes is involved with Survivor Sunday on 03/03/2013. Members have been asked to support Pam. Pam will send us information. 71st Annual Convention for the NC Association of Insurance Professionals October 25th 27th, 2012
The NC Insurance Commissioner, Wayne Goodwin came and spoke w/us concerning insurance matters at hand. NCDOI has prepared consumer packets and a website to help out in disaster events, such as hurricanes, floods, etc. This gives great information before, during and after the events. Please visit nchurriclaims.com for more information and pass on this information to your clients. CWC Competition was exciting w/Judy Hancock and Teresa Fannin as our contestants. Of course, our own member Teresa Fannin one State Competition and will move on to represent NC at Regional in March. Congratulations Teresa!
Haley Everett w/Jackson Sumner & Associates did a presentation w/ideas on how to recruit young new professionals. At this time, there are 139 men in the association and that number is growing. Let your passion for the organization shine and share your stories etc w/those around you and those you meet.
