An applicant who submits a report should have at least 5 years of relevant experience in light and lighting. It is strongly advised that candidates intending to follow this route submit a brief synopsis of their intended report topic to the Society Secretary for comment before they begin writing it. Report format The report, plus explanatory figures and illustrations, must be in English. It should normally be about 5000 words long. TWO copies must be submitted and the applicant is advised to retain a further copy, as the Society will not be responsible for non-receipt. A written declaration that the report is the applicants own work must accompany the report.
