Position Announcement POSITION TITLE: DIRECTOR OF PROGRAMS GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION Designs, structures, and manages the direct service programs and staff of the Benedict Center, including the Womens Harm Reduction Program (WHRP), Sisters Project, Restorative Community Service Program and Community Intervention Program (CIP). Coordinate and implement appropriate evidence-based gender responsive curriculum. Develop a system to track and communicate program outcomes, evaluation, and impact. This position actively supports the Benedict Center mission to work with victims, offenders and the community to achieve a system of justice that is fair and treats every one with dignity and respect. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for the development and management of a comprehensive operating plan for the direct service programs, including goals, objectives, benchmarks and corrective action as needed. Keep abreast and implement best practices that are grounded in evidence based, gender-responsive, trauma-informed and harm reduction principles. Act as quality improvement change leader. Champion QI projects with client input and involvement. Motivate staff, sustain improvements, and communicate progress. Supervise direct service staff. Responsible for annual performance reviews and work plans. Promote skill enhancement through training and education. Foster environment for across program teamwork. Facilitate staff meetings. Resolve employee conflicts and personnel issues; coordinate personnel actions with Human Resources. Coordinate placement and training of program volunteers and interns Manage development of new database to track outcomes. Oversee staff responsible for data tracking and integrity. Complete quarterly program reports and other reports as requested. Collaborate with staff to gather all relevant grant data and documentation. Review, audit and edit all reports submitted to funding sources. In collaboration with Development, respond to funding renewals or new opportunities. Provide oversight and assistance in writing the proposal response to ensure completeness and appropriateness of the submission. Assist in budget development and monitoring. Coordinate timely, accurate billing of program services. Play instrumental role is preparation for implementation of Affordable Healthcare Act, including feasibility assessment for 3rd party billing for treatment services. Coordinate with Clinical Supervisor and Medical Director to provide quality AODA services. Develop and maintain positive relationships with partner agencies, referrals sources, government agencies and referral sources. Advocate with policy makers as necessary. Monitor and ensure compliance with any funding requirements and contracts for programs and related narrative and program data. Ensure organizational compliance with all local, state and federal regulatory agencies. Develop, implement and enforce policies and procedures of the agency by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the agency. Meet as required with the Executive Director and Management Team

QUALIFICATIONS A strong commitment to social justice and a belief in the need for more rational, fair and effective criminal justice policies Essential Bachelors Degree, Master Degree preferred. in Social Work, Womens Studies, Criminology, Sociology, Nonprofit Administration, Business Administration or related areas or commensurate with experience. Minimum 3-5 years of experience managing programs that serve women Clinical experience and licensing a plus (MSW, SAC, LPC, etc.) Knowledge of the criminal justice system, ideally with experience in Milwaukee Solid understanding of the interrelationships of social, racial, economic, environmental and criminal justice as all relate to community justice Knowledge/experience with Restorative Justice principles Understanding of gender responsive programming, and practice of: o Stages of Change o Harm Reduction o Trauma-Informed Treatment o Evidence Based Practice Computer literacy and experience with databases and excel worksheets Very strong written and oral communication skills Strong organizational and time management skills. Self-directed, effective management style with knowledge of progressive management techniques Team player able to work effectively in coalitions, collaborations, and committees Demonstrated ability to work well with individuals from diverse economic, racial, and ethnic backgrounds in an open environment Adherence to all policies of nondiscrimination, including sexual preference and criminal history

SALARY Fulltime, 40 hours per week, with benefits. Reports to Executive Director and is key part of the Management Team. AVAILABILITY The position is available now.
