Research Of Genre

Horror:
The genre Horror has a main aim in every horror film that must be created or have a sense of it. Mostly every horror generates some kind of fear, dread, panic and alarm for the audience. Usually every horror has an objective and aim which is to try and use the audiences worst fear or nightmares to potentially produce tension and terror that should be uncomfortable. Mostly horror films focus on a specific arrival of an evil force, creature or event that will occur throughout the film to keep the audience focused. Some horror films would rather focus on the supernatural which can become interesting depending on the storyline and also it could include mythical creatures such as, vampires, spirits etc. Also horror films usually use violence to try and help the audience jump or get their heart racing which means their objective for that scene is a success. However, gory images can be used to show how it was so it can help make the audience feel the pain and not just see it. This genre is extraordinary as no other genre is the same and has its own effects and to interact with the audience but some may be seen to be similar such as thriller, fantasy and science-fiction.

In the 1950s, horror films moved from the gothic toward concerns that some saw this to be more relevant to the late century audience. The horror film is seen to split into two different sub-genres; the horror of Armageddon and the horror of the demonic. Later on, in 1964, the successes of low budget gore films were a hit and very popular at the time and still are till this day. Rosemarys Baby (1968) led other films to be released which were seen to be similar or then better throughout

the years such as The Exorcist (1973) and from then on usually horror films included the devil that represented supernatural behavior.
