SCIENCE Science resulted from our curiosities and inner desires to know and understand the things that happen within us, in this world we live in, and eventually the universe. Hence, science is a way of knowing. But science doesnt stop there; because of that curiosity, we try to investigate; we make observations and then we try to form explanations and predictions. And to make the explanations trustworthy, we make tests to prove that its unbiased. By continually doing all those things, we gradually formed a systematic and improved way of knowing; it now becomes a process. No. of words: 95 References: BOOK: Campbell, N. & Reese, J. Since science have discovered that our world have these natural resources, then engineering utilizes these discoveries by finding ways on how to make use of it, and create new things to enhance our lifestyle and to provide us with much comfort. Engineering provides the best and practical solutions to our problems in daily living, and provides us also with the necessary tools to our battle against the changing times while at the same time ensures our safety at large and the environment. It is the management, production, and the consumption of ones accumulated or acquired wealth due to hard work and labor depending upon its source. The quantity of his wealth may vary depending upon his attitudes towards labor, and towards his consumption and management of the goods and services. His choices (how he plans practical solutions and how he responds to different situations) and actions (how he carry out the plans) greatly affects his prosperity. No. of words: 83 References:

North and South Korea Although both shared the same Korean Peninsula, North and South Korea differed in many areas. At present, South Korea was regarded as the worlds 8th largest exporter mainly because their economy focuses greatly on their export trade since they have almost no natural resources due to their small territory. North Korea, however, has near-autarkic, highly centralized command economy this is because international trade is highly restricted. And unlike the South, North Korea has substantial natural resources such as iron and zinc, coal, copper, and salt. In North Korea, everyone is eligible to vote and to be elected but political dynasty is exercised in the presidential seat. Human rights in North Korea are very stiff since their citizens are not allowed to freely speak their minds. South Koreas government operates like that of the Philippines; it is divided into three branches: executive, judicial, and legislative. The executive branch is headed by the president; the president is elected directly by the people, and is the only elected member in the national executive. The three braches functions the same way as that of the Philippines, except that their legislative branch is a unicameral legislature. Human rights are exercised . C. THINKING DEVELOPMENT Three Ego-states of the Person: Every human being carries three persons inside of him: his three year-old self, his own parents, and his present self, switching from one to the other in different times. Dr. Eric Berne has called these states as Child, Parent, and Adult, respectively. These states are produced by the recollection of the recorded memories of every person from childhood up to the present, where the influence of the people surrounding him plays a significant role. The Parent state is formed during the first five years of life; everything he had witnessed and observed from his parents conducts are being stored in his memories and thus when triggered, acted in an enforcing and domineering conduct like that of his parents. The Child state is formed in the midst of observing the influential people around him; his hidden reactions in response to their views are registered here. When prompted, Child state comes out where emotions dominate logic. The Adult state is developed by the age of ten months, wherein he experiences the power of locomotion. He can now do things of his own; he experiences self-actualization and in effect, he can now decide for himself and can distinguish life from what he knows, felt, and experienced. Harris Four Life Positions: According to Dr. Harris, in transactional analysis there are four life positions that are being characterized. First one is the Im Not Ok Youre Ok position where the point of view of the adults, the child is ok since he receives much stroking but for the child, it is not ok because he feels inferior to the people around him. The second is the Im Not Ok Youre Not Ok where the child is progressing in his growth and the parent, having recognized this, limits the stroking. The child interprets this as an act of abandonment and thus he is not ok with it. Seeing the child doing well alone, the parent is also not ok. The third one is the Im Ok Youre Not OK position where the child continues to experience abandonment and

so resorts to self-healing. He thinks that he is ok (nothings wrong with me) and theyre the ones whose at fault (theyre not ok). The fourth one is the Im Ok Youre Ok. This is quite different from the three because it is not made unconsciously. Here, the person is convinced that he is ok and whether or not the other party is not ok, he chooses to believe they are ok. No. of words: 207 References: Book: Im Ok, Youre OK by Thomas A. Harris

D. What is the significance of the population increases? In poverty? Or subsistence? In the following population increases, the Philippines compared to the year 1606 to 1903, and to the year 1903 up to 2000, the latters increase is gradual. The population increase in Mindanao is justifiable with respect to the number of years it took. Meanwhile, Lanao del Nortes population increase is rapid and must therefore be monitored continually to avoid further problems such as poverty. Based from the data given, we can get that the population increase in the Philippines and in Mindanao is still justifiable but should not be taken lightly. For now, it is far from the dangers of poverty and still experiences subsistence, economically. No. of Words: 106
