My name is Tatum Lott, and I would like to thank you all for coming to judge my Senior Project presentation. Since I was a little girl, I always enjoyed playing softball. Becoming the young woman I am today, I knew I had to choose a career. I chose to shadow a physical therapist because when softball landed me in physical therapy, I realized I wanted to help athletes and people. II. How I got interested a. Long time interest i. Rural Cooperative Medical Workforce i. Obama Care although Obama care is forcing everyone to have insurance, it is not a good solution because it ultimately costs patients more taxes and higher premiums (amount you pay for insurance). And Expanding Medicaid would be too expensive. This may leave therapist with fewer patients than they have now. Middle class families who can afford may not be able to. ii. China has been testing a new program to help with insurance. V. Problem and Solution 2 a. Doctor Availability i. Doctor office hours surgeries and communication ii.
