The Union of Liberian Associations in the Americas (ULAA), The European Federation of Liberian Associations (EFLA), and a Washington DC based Liberian lobbying group, Coalition of Concerned Liberians (CCL), in collaboration with the Embassy of Liberia in Washington D.C. have announced a joint effort to advance the issue of Dual Citizenship for Liberians beginning with an All Liberian Conference on Dual Citizenship to be held from December 7 8, 2012 in Washington D.C. The theme is: Dual Citizenship in the context of Restoring Family Reunion, Reconstruction and Development in the Republic of Liberia. At the request of our sponsors in the Liberian Legislature, in collaboration with the leadership team of the convention, and considering the role of your organization in the development of Liberia, we invite you and your organization to participate in this upcoming historic convention. Your organization is not limited to any number of representatives. Remember, our voices will determine our future. Please refer to the following itinerary: Friday, December 7, 2012, from 3:00 9 P.M. Meet and Greet / Summit at the Embassy of Liberia- 5201 16th Street Northwest Washington, DC 20011. Saturday, December 8, 2012 from 8 A.M. 8 P.M. - All Liberian Conference on Dual Citizenship, venue: Evangelical Lutheran Church- 7410 New Hampshire Ave., Takoma Park, MD 20912 (A donation of $50.00 will be appreciated to offset expenses for hosting the Conference and Reception). Proceeds from funds raised will go towards educating Liberians about the benefits of Dual Citizenship, and the hosting an All Liberian Conference on Dual Citizenship in Liberia in March, 2013.
