FAQs for the participants who take the certification examination:

1. Who can attend the workshop and achieve Certification on Cloud Computing Fundamentals? Ans: Higher degree students, IT professionals and non-IT professionals can attend this workshop without having any pre-requisite since it covers fundamental topics from basic principles of Cloud computing. 2. What is the benefit of the certification? Ans: Cloud certifications are important for developing job skills required in cloud computing. By getting this basic foundation, students and IT as well as non-IT professionals can develop Cloud skills. 3. What is Aneka cloud platform? Ans: Manjrasoft Aneka is a US patented Cloud application platform for rapid creation of scalable applications and their deployment on various types of Clouds in a seamless and elastic manner. It provides the capability of interfacing with different storage implementations such as Google File System, IBM General Parallel File System or Amazon Simple Storage Service. One of the key advantages of Aneka is its extensible set of APIs used for developing distributed applications in various engineering and business areas, integrating new capabilities into the Cloud, and supporting different types of Cloud deployment models: public, private, and hybrid.

4. How does this certification compare with other certifications? Ans: This certification is based on the more universal concepts of Cloud computing, while most of other certifications are productoriented. In addition, this certificate becomes the first step to education pathway that we are offering in 2013 - postgraduate diploma (Certified Cloud Computing Professional) which covers many cloud platforms (from big players such as Amazon, Google, etc) with Manjrasoft Aneka easy to use APIs and PaaS features. The courseware consisting of theory, hands-on workshops are based on several books published by Prof. Rajkumar Buyya since 1999 in topics such as Cluster Computing, Grid Computing and Mastering Cloud Computing. Aneka was developed in 2008 to provide an implementation of the MapReduce abstractions by following the standards-based reference model introduced by Google and implemented by Hadoop. Other certifications cover only small modules focussing on their own specific product. 5. How difficult is the exam? Ans: The exam is based on the slides presented in the workshop. All attending the workshop should be able to pass the exam which consists of 20 True/False questions.
