The University of Hertfordshire School of Creative Arts is delivering a BFI Film Academy course in January, February and March 2013 - see overleaf for the outline of the delivery.
The University of Hertfordshire has a driving vision to present young people with an intensive experience and understanding of film-making with a clear emphasis on both technical skills with industry level equipment and on the development of ideas and stories in both fiction and documentary formats. If you are fortunate enough to be selected for this amazing experience will be taught by, and work with, industry professionals and University teachers with recent industry experiences and backgrounds. You will work in state of the art fully digital production and post-production environments,developing your knowledge and understanding of the "idea to audiences" processes involved in film and television creative enterprises.

It doesn't matter what your background is, whether you are currently in education or if you haven't had an opportunity to be involved in something like this beforethis is your chance! Talented young people aged between 16 and 19 who have a passion for film or aspire to a career in the Film or Television industries and who live in either Hertfordshire or Essex are invitedto apply. The programme at the University of Hertfordshire will run over weekends from 26 January until 3 March, 2013. Lunch and some travelling expenses are included.
