STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

United States is contributing more than any other country in the world, in brands developments, as it reflects from the global top twenty brands, in which more than half of country ownership belongs to US. Achieving this position could not be as easier, if their marketing research and development are not as effective. These must be the results of all US universities that are producing graduates / researchers are of high caliber by equipping them, with newer concepts, developments and techniques in the field of domestic and international marketing. Thus I see, my career goals in international marketing or in academic research, therefore I am looking forward to applying to such a challenging and diversified environment that is non-other than US educational institution. At the beginning, in my undergraduate study my performance was just fair, because I was unaware from the taste of research, but as time passes and working on various college projects evokes my feelings and hidden potential in the research field though I have failed to attend any national or international conference, but putting theories into practice helped me in raising my percentage, and that was the 5th semester that I had topped my college. Getting 1st position was not the peak of my academic excellence at college, but my grades continuously increase till last semester, that is evident from my transcripts. To achieve my career goals, I need to learn much more about current developments and techniques in Marketing, marketing research and acquire hands-on experience of environmental analysis. A Master's Degree will provide me with theoretical understanding, an in depth idea of practical approaches in aiding managerial decisionmaking and research skills to enable me to develop an expertise in the core areas of marketing strategies and global marketing operations. I would like to probe specific problem areas such as the applications of both qualitative and quantitative analysis to understanding various contemporary issues in marketing management, and improving decision-making and effect of increase in global communications on international marketing decisions. My research interests are contemporary applications: competitive advantage, brand equity, customer satisfaction, total quality management, and also

emerging applications: database marketing, digital marketing, experimental marketing, relationship marketing, and customer intelligence. Thus, getting hands-on experience on above mentioned interests, will be meaningful and helpful for Asian emerging markets, and so I will get an opportunity to contribute in global and regional economic conditions. I have kept my options open, and thus one of my options is Claflin University and its program that is MBA, because it is one of the university among other US universities that has an outstanding research work, faculty, and activity based learning, flexible curriculum, diversified environment. Therefore, I look forward to apply to this wide range of opportunities that are available at Claflin University, and I hope that I will be a part of this diversified and dynamic environment.
