A safety officer will be appointed All personnel receive information and instruction on underfoot conditions to be encountered in such areas. All personnel to don suitable PPE to include hard hat, gloves, non slip footwear. BA and CPS or gas tight suits to be worn if required. All personnel not suitably protected positioned upwind of incident. All personnel under full supervision Gardai in attendance to control traffic - set up first aid point. Personnel working above ground level to be kept to a minimum. Personnel working in exposed areas to be secured by a fall arrest system. Equipment not in use returned to ground level as soon as practicable. The OIC will ensure that area below is kept clear at all times. All personnel to don appropriate level of PPE All personnel under full supervision Aerial ladder may be requested to attend

Proposed Actions/Controls (Long/medium/short term) All personnel receive instruction and information on the hazards to be encountered with chemical incidents. All personnel under strict supervision Establish inner and outer cordon All personnel to don suitable PPE to include hard hat, gloves and non-slip footwear. BA and CPS or Gas Tight suits to be worn if required. All personnel not suitably protected positioned upwind of incident. Safety officers to be appointed A senior officer will attend Gardai and ambulance in attendance Specialist advice All personnel aware of evacuation procedures Aerial ladder or specialist appliances maybe requested if not including an initial PDA Use intrinsically safe communications and equipment Consider firefighting operations behind cover or use of fixed installations or monitors Fire-fighters should not be allowed on tank roofs unless absolutely necessary and never on partially empty tanks which are on fire Fire-fighters should not enter bund areas unless authorised and under supervision
