In a practical, you were given the following electrical components:

3 bulbs, three 1.5 volt cells, a switch, 1 ammeter, 1 voltmeter, 1 resistor.

Instructions:

Place 2 bulbs in series

Place a 3rd bulb in parallel with one of the other bulbs

Place 3 cells in series so the total voltage is maximum
[2]
Place the voltmeter so it measures the voltage across the cells

Place the switch so that if it is open, the 2 bulbs in series go out but the 3rd bulb
stays on.

Place the ammeter so when the switch is open, the current is zero.

Place the resistor so it only affects the current through the bulb that stays on.
