STRATEGEM BUSINESS PLAN COMPETITION

B-Plan Competition STRATEGEM Jagan Institute of Management Studies organizes BPlan Competition STRATEGEM on Saturday,19th January,2013. The business plan is aimed at the post-graduate and engineering students, to hone their skills of creaivity, intellect & entrepreneurship as well as set in advance their managerial competencies. The Business plan is divided into 2 rounds. The number of members in each team would be 4. Round 1: Screening of the business plan proposals Round 2: Presenting the business plan. The first round is the screening round that has the following guidelines: 1 Executive summary: This section would include a brief introduction to the plan and the business.

2.Product & services: This section would include introduction of the product or the service, briefly explaining the product/service and the characteristics of the same. 3.Management team:This section would contain the management and administrative structure and the roles, responsibilities and reporting relationship of the employees at various positions in the management. 4. Target market and Competitors: This section would include the specific market segments that you want to cater to and the competition that you would face in the industry. 5. Marketing & sales: This section would include your promotion and marketing strategy. 6. Operating & implement schedule: This section would include the information of how you would plan out the distribution of the product/service, the

distribution channels, material procurement, production schedules and machinery, logistics, etc. 7. Opportunities & risk: This section would include the SWOT analysis in the industry, keeping in mind all the external and internal factors. 8. Financial plan: This section would include explanation of: allocation of monetary resources, pricing strategy, revenues and profits. Also, The presentation should be for 10-12 minutes each, followed by a question answer round. The business plan would also include 10-12 minutes presentation , by the participants, in front of the esteemed judges and the panel. Last date for submission of the proposal is 7th Jan,2013, at strategem@jimsindia.org The best plans will be rewarded with attractive cash prizes. Looking forward for maximum participation.
