Gather the Send-It-Home packs for the children in your classroom. A year supply of nine different Send-It-Home packs are included in each child package. You will take out a new Send-It-Home pack from the package each month. Click open your e-Guidebook CD designed for your age level religious ed classroom. Click a button on the cover each month for the Send-It-Home and Live It At Religious Ed lessons with patterns! All you need to send home the virtue Mission of the Month to children and their parents is included. a. Send-It-Home is a 20-minute lesson to be held the first time your class meets each month. Children receive that months Send-It-Home pack and learn how to do the virtue Mission of the Month by using the fun materials inside. A short, scripted lesson is included for you, along with a quick game that teaches about the virtue. K4J Holy Hero cards are a big hit. Kids learn that saints show us how to love Jesus and live our faith, and how virtue can be possible for all of us. The Parent Newsletter gives parents a simple overview of what is happening that month in K4J. Sections include What the Catholic Church Teaches with a related quote from the Catechism of the Catholic Church, as well as some helpful hints for In the Home. b. Live It At Religious Ed takes 5 minutes or less at each class session during the remainder of the month, and offers a very simple motivation of the virtue kids are working on at home through their Send-It-Home packs. The K4J Prayer & Pledge are said as part of opening prayer, and a fun visual cue and chant remind kids to think and tell about their virtue practice that week.

3.

Play the monthly Mission Song from the K4J Mission Songs CD as the kids enter and leave your classroom each week. The kids never tire of listening, and each time they do, you are accomplishing your mission of teaching virtue! The songs are only a couple minutes long, easy to learn, and fun to perform with the hand motions included in the e-Guidebooks.

Remember, K4J is flexible and you are the expert. No one knows how to motivate the kids in your religious ed classroom better than you do. K4J offers all you need to succeed!

We belong to K4J -- that means KIDS for JESUS. K is for KIDS. J is for JESUS. K 4 J. Because we are K4J, we are going to work on giving gifts to Jesus, all day long. We do this when we pray a Morning Offering prayer when we wake up and tell Jesus we are giving him the gift of everything we do, all day long! Explain this months Give Gifts 24/7 Mission of the Month -- pray the Morning Offering Prayer each morning. Help the kids understand that since it is impossible to think of God all the time, it is important to pray a Morning Offering to start the day. The Morning Offering Prayer is a way to give of our best to Jesus 24/7 that means all day (and all night) long! Say the Morning Offering prayer together. It is found on the Prayer Wheel in the kid packs. Show the kids their tabletop Mission cards, also in the packs. Each day they do the Give Gifts 24/7 Mission at home, they mark their card with a sticker!

Have the kids sit at their desks. Divide the class into two teams. One of the kids from each team holds a wrapped gift marked, Morning Offering. Play the September Year 1 Mission song, Give Gifts 24/7, and tell the kids to begin to pass the gifts from one team member to the next. When the music stops, the two children who have the gifts race to bring the gifts to Jesus. The first one there gets one number added to their clock for their team. The first team to get all 12 numbers wins!

GIVING

THE CATHOLIC CHURCH TEACHES....

God gives us the gift of prayer. He is very pleased when we accept this gift and give our best time to speak with him and listen. Children learn how to pray in the home. They are able to learn how to link faith and life, and therefore remember God throughout the day. Catechism Quote CCC 1666 The Christian home is the place where children receive the first proclamation of the faith. For this reason the family home is rightly called the domestic church, a community of grace and prayer, a school of human virtues and of Christian charity.

IN THE HOME:
It is easy to find ourselves so busy that we forget to pray as a family. Set up a special place in your home as a reminder. Simply display a statue of Mary, picture of Jesus, etc., in a corner of a room. Children need prayer. Prayer unites kids with the family and helps them feel very secure. When you begin to see bickering or disunity in your home (and this happens to everyone), stop and say a prayer together. You can find simple Catholic prayers at k4j.org . Read the September Parents Perspective found in the child Send-It-Home packs for great parenting tips that help kids develop the virtue of GIVING.

DEFINITION:
We offer our best to Jesus and others all day long!

OBJECTIVE:
Kids work to be prepared to GIVE their best to Jesus 24/7. When they pray their Morning Prayer each day, everything they do becomes a gift for Jesus!

SCRIPTURE:
God loves a cheerful giver. 2 Cor 9:7 Ask and you will receive. Luke 11:9

HOLY HERO: St. Martin of Tours

St. Martin was an army officer who wore a long, warm cape. One day when riding his horse he came upon a poor, shivering man. Martin stopped and slit his cape in two with his sword and gave half of the cape to the poor man. Later that night when Martin was sleeping, he dreamed that Jesus had taken the place of the poor man and was wearing his cape. St. Martin understood that by GIVING to the poor man, he had GIVEN to Jesus himself! St Martin, help me give my best to Jesus and others as you did. Amen

Thank you for being my best friend.

Help me to stay close to you all day.

FORGIVENESS

THE CATHOLIC CHURCH TEACHES....

We can always count on Gods mercy. He is always ready to forgive. When we forgive each other, we imitate Jesus. Forgiveness is a holy act that pleases God very much. CCC 982 There is no offense, however serious, that the Church cannot forgive. There is no one, however wicked and guilty, who may not confidently hope for forgiveness, provided his repentance is honest. Christ, who died for all men, desires that in his Church the gates of forgiveness should always be open to anyone who turns away from sin.

IN THE HOME:
Forgiveness is a sacrifice because we have to forget ourselves and look at the good of another. Point out the good in each family member as often as possible. When the kids see the good in each other, it is much easier to forgive. Your example of forgiving your spouse and children is the first step in teaching children to forgive. Take your family to the Sacrament of Reconciliation this month. God is waiting to FORGIVE. Read the October Parents Perspective included in the October Send-It-Home packs for great ideas about how to practice the virtue of FORGIVENESS.

DEFINITION:
I pardon those who hurt me. I ask forgiveness when I have done wrong.

OBJECTIVE:
Kids are quick to include others and say, Im sorry when a mistake has been made. Get rid of Vice! He is the K4J character that represents temptation to do what is wrong.

SCRIPTURE:
If you forgive others, your heavenly Father will forgive you. Matthew 6:14

HOLY HERO: BLESSED IMELDA LAMBERTINI

Many years ago, Imelda Lambertini was having a hard time waiting to receive her first Holy Communion. While she waited, Jesus taught her how to love everyone and say, I am sorry. Will you forgive me? when she had done wrong. This helped Imelda become ready to receive the sacraments of Reconciliation and Holy Communion. Imelda prayed in front of the tabernacle. She wanted to receive Communion right then. Suddenly, a light shone from the tabernacle. A tiny white host was floating above it! The host came to Imelda, and rested over her head. It was a miracle! A priest came and gave the host to Imelda as her first Holy Communion. Now she was perfectly happy! Jesus, Help me learn to ask forgiveness and receive Holy Communion well.

Do My Part Relay
Divide the kids into teams of six. Place a broom, rosary, dust rag, Bible, musical instrument, bowl with spoon to cook and can of food at the front of the room. Put a collection basket in another place in the room. Show the kids each item and ask them how they could do their part to help the Church by using them. Play the November Mission song, I Love Jesus Church. The first person on each team runs to pick up an item and uses it to role play doing my part to help the Church (praying, sweeping, collecting food...) while running to the other side of the room and back. Once the child has done their part, he/she puts the object back where it came from, grabs a K4J Buck (tape them to a wall or stack them on a table) and runs and puts it in the collection basket. A leader at the basket gives the prompt: Do your part... and the child fist pumps while responding: ... for Christ and his Church! Teams to get all their bucks in the collection basket, WIN!

LOVE FOR THE CHURCH

THE CATHOLIC CHURCH TEACHES....

When we do our part to help the Church, we imitate Christ to serve each other, share his Word and be a witness of truth to the world. CCC: 794 Christ provides for our growth: to make us grow toward him, our head, he provides in his Body, the Church, the gifts and assistance by which we help one another. CCC: 2472 The duty of Christians to take part in the life of the Church impels them to act as witnesses of the Gospel and of the obligations that flow from it. This witness is a transmission of the faith in words and deeds. Witness is an act of justice that establishes the truth or makes it known.

IN THE HOME:
Take an active role in the parish. Consider starting a K4J Club in your parish. This will help your children develop special Catholic memories and valuable friendships. K4J fosters a love for Jesus and a desire to serve. When young people involved in youth ministry are polled, 1. 94% are proud to be Catholic 2. 89% admire the Pope 3. 90% feel welcome at church (Renewing the Vision USCCB) Keep Sunday holy. Go to Mass with a joyful heart, then make the day special. Have another family from the parish or your pastor over for lunch. Put aside the worries and work of the week.

DEFINITION:
I love the Church when I do my part!

OBJECTIVE:
Kids learn that we are one family -brothers and sisters in Jesus Church! We love the Church when we pray to Jesus, worship him and give him praise. We do our part to serve God and others. We ask Jesus in the Eucharist for help!

SCRIPTURE:
Father, those who believe in me are your gift to me. I wish that where I am they also may be with me. John 17: 24a

HOLY HERO: ST. LAWRENCE

Deacon Lawrence loved the poor very much. He gave them everything he had. A greedy Roman governor loved money and thought that the Church might be hiding a great treasure, so he ordered Deacon Lawrence to bring it to him. Three days later, Deacon Lawrence came before the Roman governor with a great crowd of people all the poor, hungry, sick and suffering people he was able to find. Deacon Lawrence said, Here, sir, is the great treasure of the Church! The Roman governor was furious. He had wanted gold and jewels, not poor people! Deacon Lawrence LOVED the Church. He was not afraid. Jesus was very pleased with Lawrences bravery and love and welcomed him into heaven. Jesus, help me to love you completely and do all I can to love your Church!

K4J Send-it-home Pack CHAT! Say...

This month we are going to share the Good News about Jesus with others! Show the kids the Christmas cards from their packs. These cards explain the meaning of the song, The Twelve Days of Christmas. Catholics shared this song with each other as a secret way to spread the faith. We can help others discover the Good News about Jesus and the faith when we make and send these special Christmas cards! Show the kids the tabletop Mission card from the December pack. Explain the Spread the Good News Mission that involves decorating & sending the cards. Kids can either complete the puzzles when they decorate the cards, or allow the recipients to do so. Every time they work on this card mission or share only good news about others, they put a sticker on their tabletop card! Please read the herald angel tip box below to the kids. Remind the kids that there is a chance each day to Spread the Good News by sharing their faith and loving others. Herald the Angel Find Herald the angel pictured on your Christmas cards. He is a comical representation of a herald angel. Lets remember the times in Scripture when herald angels appeared. Gabriel asked Mary to be the Mother of Jesus. Herald angels appeared to shepherds and announced, Behold I bring you good tidings, for unto you a Savior has been born. This month, lets learn to be heralds of GOOD NEWS, too! Lets share the love of Jesus directly by announcing his birth at Christmas, and by sharing only GOOD things about others!

Go K4J!
Be a happy herald!
Place each truth card in a different Christmas gift bag. Say: Lets EVANGELIZE! We can share Good News about Jesus every day. Find a partner and grab a Christmas bag. Announce the good news you find inside to each other. Then we will act like Happy Heralds and announce the GOOD NEWS of our Catholic Faith! Kids choose partners and open one of the bags together. They quickly read and announce their good news of the faith to each other. Now have the kids sit in a circle. Pass a clean party blower (mouth and hands off blowing end) while the song, Spread the Good News plays. When the music stops, everyone sings the last lines of Hark the Herald Angels Sing together, with these new words: Happy Heralds --K-4-J -- We bring good news to you today, Happy Heralds --K-4-J -- We bring good news to you today! The one with the blower stands up and blows it, then announces his/her good news. Play begins again from that spot with a new party blower.

THE CATHOLIC CHURCH TEACHES....

By our baptism we have the commitment to share the faith. Example speaks louder than words, so our charity in speaking well of others is key. As they said of the first Christians in the Roman Empire, We recognize them by their love. CCC: 905 Lay people also fulfill their prophetic mission by evangelization, that is, the proclamation of Christ by word and the testimony of life. For lay people, this evangelization . . . acquires a specific property and peculiar efficacy because it is accomplished in the ordinary circumstances of the world.

IN THE HOME:
Always and only say good things about others, especially priests and religious. Dont forget to have an Advent wreath! See www.k4j.org for howtos. Remind kids that Christmas is about Christ by placing the manger in a prominent place. Make a commitment to pray one Hail Mary each day until Christ is born! Help the kids get in the habit of bowing their heads each time they hear Jesus name. Read the December Parents Perspective found in the child SendIt-Home packs for great ideas about how to EVANGELIZE!

HOLY HERO: ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST

The greatest herald of all time was St. John the Baptist. The first time he and Jesus met, they were not even born yet! But at the moment John heard Mary greeting his Mother, Elizabeth, he leapt in Elizabeths womb. He was announcing that JESUS was near! St John spent years in the desert, learning the truths of God from the Holy Spirit. John was being prepared in a special way for his important mission. St John came out of the desert and began to teach the people. He announced that Jesus had come into the world, and would soon be with them to share the love of the Father in heaven. St. John helped the people become ready to know and love Jesus. He spread the Good News! Jesus, help me be a great HERALD and share the truths of the faith with others.

All that is true and good comes from God. The Bible is a collection of books inspired by God. Since therefore all that the inspired authors or sacred writers affirm should be regarded as affirmed by the Holy Spirit, we must acknowledge that the books of Scripture firmly, faithfully, and without error teach that truth which God, for the sake of our salvation, wished to see confided to the Sacred Scriptures.

IN THE HOME:
Have your kids listen carefully and pick one phrase from this Sundays readings at Mass. Repeat it as often as possible throughout the week, at mealtimes or whenever appropriate. Each time you do this, you arm your children with the truth -- they will be more apt to live according to the Word of God and make right decisions. Give your child a prize if he/she can remember the K4J Scripture verse each month. Read the January Parents Perspective found in the child SendIt-Home packs for great ideas about how to teach your children how to Learn the Truth!

DEFINITION:
We learn Gods truth when we study his Word found in Scripture!

OBJECTIVE:
The kids learn that all truth comes from God, and when they study the truth, they are pleasing God. They are coming to know God and his love for them. Kids are motivated to practice memorization and study well.

SCRIPTURE:
And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free! John 8:32

HOLY HERO:
ST. JEROME, DOCTOR OF THE CHURCH St. Jerome was a monk who lived in a cave. Many people think this was the very same cave that Jesus was born in! (Its even said that Jerome died with his head resting on Jesus manger.) While St. Jerome was alive, he did many things to help people know Gods truth. He translated the Bible from Hebrew and Greek into Latin so more people could understand it. And he argued a lot with many people, including St. Augustine! It was not a bad kind of argument. It was a kind of argument that helped people discover Gods truth. St. Augustine once said, If Jerome doesnt know, then nobody does, or ever did. God rewarded Jerome for loving and sharing his truth with others. St. Jerome, help me to learn Gods truth, then share it with others!

SEND-IT-HOME PACKS
This month, kids receive materials to practice the Sea Scroll Scholar Mission of the Month and discover Gods truth found in Scripture. They learn about the story of the Dead Sea Scrolls in comic form and uncover evidence, like archeologists, that shows that Scripture has retained amazingly detailed and uniform content from era to era. K4J (grades 1-2) and Apostles (grades 3-4) will love the enclosed Scripture decoder they use to decode a passage from a Scripture scroll that is coded in Hebrew symbols. Pre-K4J kids (ages 3-K) learn the 23rd Psalm when they decode an age-level picture scroll! If your school has not provided Send-It-Home packs, you may purchase them for the year at www.k4j.org or by calling 1-877-543-7638.

VIRTUE:
RESPECT

The Catholic Church TEACHES....

We can only have true respect for life from the moment of conception to natural death when we understand and appreciate that we are brothers and sisters in Christ. CCC: 1931 Respect for the human person proceeds by way of respect for the principle that everyone should look upon his neighbor (without any exception) as another self, above all bearing in mind his life and the means necessary for living it with dignity. No legislation could by itself do away with the fears, prejudices, and attitudes of pride and selfishness which obstruct the establishment of truly fraternal societies. Such behavior will cease only through the charity that finds in every man a neighbor.

IN THE HOME:
Ask family members to make a commitment of RESPECT to each other. Promise to never speak ill of another family member--inside or outside of the home. The family is the one secure place where each person is respected and appreciated just as they are. Help your children learn to RESPECT the beauty of life. Tell them about the day they were born or adopted. Remind them of how happy you were to have a new life enter the family! Read the February Parents Perspective found in the child SendIt-Home packs for great ideas about how to bring RESPECT into the home!

DEFINITION:
We treat ourselves and others with great importance because we belong to God.

OBJECTIVE:
Kids learn to show RESPECT for themselves and others because we are all created in Gods image and likeness. They practice good mealtime manners at home and learn other habits of respect through the Escape from the Jungle card game!

SCRIPTURE:
God created man in his own image. Genesis 1:27a

HOLY HERO:
BL. MOTHER TERESA OF CALCUTTA, INDIA God still loves the world and He sends you and me to be His love and His compassion to the poor. Mother Teresa was a Catholic sister who worked with the poorest of the poor in Calcutta, India. She found Jesus in each person who was hungry, sick, and suffering, and taught the other Missionaries of Charity to do the same. Mother Teresa treated everyone with great importance because she knew that each person belongs to God. Mother Teresa gave her heart to Jesus. Jesus gave Mother Teresa his love to share with each person she met. Jesus, help me to treat each person with great importance because they belong to you!

SECRET SACRIFICE

THE CATHOLIC CHURCH TEACHES....

Whenever we do something good and offer it to Jesus with love, we are uniting ourselves to his mission to save humanity. It is especially beneficial for us to offer our small sacrifices with Jesus during the offertory at Mass. CCC: 1368 ...In the Eucharist the sacrifice of Christ becomes also the sacrifice of the members of his Body. The lives of the faithful, their praise, sufferings, prayer, and work, are united with those of Christ and with his total offering, and so acquire a new value. Christs sacrifice present on the altar makes it possible for all generations of Christians to be united with his offering.

IN THE HOME:
Praise your children when you see them making sacrifices for the family. These little sacrifices (eating what I dont like, not insisting on getting my way, helping, smiling when I dont feel like it...) strengthen them for future sacrifices that will be greater. Remind your children about the sacrifices they made as they go to Mass on Sunday. Tell them to offer them to Jesus during Eucharist. Let them know Jesus is happy to sacrifice for us and very happy when we join him in his sacrifice. Read the March Parents Perspective found in the child Send-ItHome packs for great ideas about how to help your children make SACRIFICES.

DEFINITION:
We look for good things that are hard to do, and offer them with love to Jesus. (Do it with a happy heart, and Ssssh -- dont tell!)

OBJECTIVE:
Kids learn they can learn to love the way Jesus loves by making secret sacrifices. They can do good things, even those that are difficult, and offer them with love to Jesus!

SCRIPTURE:
Allow only your Father in heaven to see your sacrifices. And your Father who is in heaven will repay you. Matthew 6:18

Holy Hero ST THERESE

St Therese of Lisieux, France, called the Little Flower, is a great saint. When Therese was a little girl, her mother taught her to keep a string of beads in her pocket. She would secretly pull a bead down the string each time she did something good -- even when it was something she did not want to do! Therese did it anyway, and she offered it with love to Jesus. This was a Secret Sacrifice! Therese soon discovered that making Secret Sacrifices was a great way to love as Jesus loves, and a very quick way to become a saint! Jesus, help me do little things well, even when they are hard to do, and offer them with love to you!

Help the kids in your family learn the virtue of SACRIFICE. This is a very important virtue in a family. Each day there are many opportunities to practice the Secret Sacrifice Mission. The kids make a string of Secret Sacrifice beads just like St. Therese did! All materials needed are enclosed in the March Send-It-Home packs. pre-K4J kids have 3 beads to pull; K4J and Apostles ages receive 10 beads. Each time a child makes a sacrifice (with a smile), he/she pulls a bead. When they have pulled all the beads on their string, they have completed their mission for the day. J Jesus obeyed his Father, even when it was hard. We have a chance to be like Jesus each time we obey. We have to try to everything we are asked l right away. When we do that with a smile, even when it is hard, we are imir tating Jesus. I want us all to know how much JOYFUL OBEDIENCE makes t us happy. Lets practice it together! u Name some of the ways kids can practice JOYFUL OBEDIENCE throughout the day (When it is time to get up in the morning, when it is time to clean up, t when it is time to go to bed...) etc. w Look at the tabletop Mission cards. Read the JOYFUL OBEDIENCE virtue definiL tion and the Jump for Jesus Mission of the Month. Help kids understand that t when they obey, they are doing Gods will. That will make them happy now w and in the end. (It is easy to show how disobedience leads to unhappiness.) a Show the kids where to put a sticker on the card each day they do the Jump S for Jesus Mission. Now play Jumpin Bugs! f

Go K4J!
Play Jumpin Bugs!

JOYFUL OBEDIENCE

THE CATHOLIC CHURCH TEACHES....

When we obey joyfully we are doing what God asks of us -- living charity by making things easier for those around us, and using our freedom to choose what is good. According to the fourth commandment, God has willed that, after him, we should honor our parents and those whom he has vested with authority for our good. CCC: 2248

IN THE HOME:
Easter is the time to remember the Joyful Obedience of Jesus. Jesus opened the gates of heaven to us by obeying the Father. When we obey God, good things happen! We OBEY God by asking more of our children. It is not easy today when society pushes against our Catholic faith. If we are strong in guiding them to obey the commandments of God, our children will be stronger and happier. Children are most happy when they know the limits and are motivated to live within them. Read the April Parents Perspective found in the child Send-It-Home packs for great ideas about how to teach joyful obedience at home!

DEFINITION:
I do what I am asked right away. I Jump for Jesus!

OBJECTIVE:
Kids learn to do what they are asked right away and with joy, for love of Jesus. Obeying parents is a first way children learn and respond to Gods will for them.

SCRIPTURE:
Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Honor your father and mother. This is the first commandment with a promise: that it may go well with you and that you may have along life on earth. Ephesians 6: 1-3

HOLY HEROES: STS JOACHIM & ANN

Sts Joachim & Ann were Marys parents. They loved God very much and they taught little Mary their strong faith. They trusted in Gods special plan of love for their family, no matter what. This made it possible for God to carry out the most amazing plan of love! God asked Mary to become the mother of Jesus, his Son. How could this be possible? Mary was not sure, but she had learned from her parents to trust Gods word. St Joachim and St Ann had taught Mary to know and love Gods plan by talking with God in her heart. They had taught her to pray! Mary said YES! to Gods plan right away. She became the Mother of Jesus! Sts Joachim & Ann, help me to love Gods plan by obeying my parents right away!

VIRTUE:
CAREFUL SPEECH

THE CATHOLIC CHURCH TEACHES....

We have to be especially careful to guard our speech and only say what will do good for others. CCC: 2477 Respect for the reputation of persons forbids every attitude and word likely to cause them unjust injury. He becomes guilty: - of rash judgment who, even tacitly, assumes as true, without sufficient foundation, the moral fault of a neighbor; - of detraction who, without objectively valid reason, discloses anothers faults and failings to persons who did not know them; - of calumny who, by remarks contrary to the truth, harms the reputation of others and gives occasion for false judgments concerning them.

IN THE HOME:
CAREFUL SPEECH is probably the most difficult virtue to master. Scripture is very clear that we should not think ill of others and must use careful speech. James 1: 26 If anyone thinks himself to be religious, and yet does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this mans religion is worthless. Most television attracts people with ease. Help your children be critical of examples shown on television. Help them learn not to complain about others and come up with charitable ways to handle what seems unjust. See May Parents Perspective found in the child Send-It-Home packs for ways to teach careful speech!

DEFINITION:
When we think good thoughts, its easy to say the right words!

OBJECTIVE:
GROW A GARDEN FOR MARY! Kids learn to stop tattling, making fun of others and using other dirty weed forms of speech by using the K4J garden tools: Compliment Claw, Buddy Booster Backhoe and others. Each time they use CAREFUL SPEECH, it is like giving a flower to Mary!

SCRIPTURE:
pre-K4J: Shout with joy to the Lord. Psalm 98:4 K4J and Apostles: Set a guard, Lord, before my mouth, a gatekeeper at my lips. Psalm 141:3

SAINT PHILIP NERI St. Philip Neri is known as the Joyful Saint. He helped people overcome their faults by making them laugh! Fr. Philip knew how important careful speech is. One day a man came to him and told him he was having trouble because he could not stop saying bad things about other people. Fr. Philip told him to take a big bag of feathers and go up on the roof. He told him to open the bag and shake the feathers out. When the man did this, the feathers were caught by the wind and blew far and wide throughout town. Fr. Philip then told the man to go and collect every feather. The man looked at him in dismay. Fr. Philip said, Bad words are like feathers. Once they are out of the bag, they spread to all corners of town, and can never be taken back again! Mary, help me to think and speak carefully!

Jesus, thank you for calling me to your work in Catholic education. Thank you for calling others to work with me. Unite us in your will, Lord. Let our prayers storm heaven with one voice. Let our efforts be filled with your grace. Let our school work as one. Unite us in charity, Lord. Help me look beyond my feelings and love those who criticize. Help me forgive the moment I am hurt. Help my words reflect your thoughts. Unite us in our mission to serve these children, Lord. Give us a love for souls. Give us a zeal for souls. Give us the gifts that attract souls to you. Unite us in helping children hear your call, Lord. Call the children of our school to a greater love for you. I want to help them hear that call. Call more young people to the priesthood and religious life. I want to help them hear that call. Call our kids to live the mission youve planned for each one. I want to help them hear that call. And when things get tough and I want to pretend you didnt call me, call me again. You are the reason my life is worth living. Mary, Mother of the Church, Pray for us! Amen.
