What is Global Warming?

Global warming is the gradual rise in the earths temperature caused by high levels of carbon dioxide and other gases in the atmosphere. Im fully aware what global warming is, what causes global warming and how fatal are its effect. But Im not really putting my attention to it; sometimes I even do things that will destroy our nature but after I watch the video, An Inconvenient Truth, by Al Gore is an eye opener and somehow it is a wakeup call for me. That I should never do things that might destroy mother earth, as I watch the video it was kind of scary and I feel bad because I was once a brat before, I do things without thinking about our mother nature. I burned plastic even if I already know that it will cause greenhouse effect. Greenhouse effect is the problem caused by increased quantities of gases such as carbon dioxide in the air These gases trap the heat from the sun, and cause a gradual rise in the temperature of the earths atmosphere If I can only turn back the time, I shouldnt do such thing if I just listen to my teacher and to my parents. Maybe I will not fell guilty now, but its too late.

And now I can really see the effect about this so called global warming, climate change is there because it was the effect of the bad hobbies by the past generation up to the present. As we can see the heat of the sun is so hot unlike before. And there are days that I cant understand the weather if you too can see and feel it, that sometimes in this certain time its so hot then after an hour it will go to rain. So what do you think are its causes? It is because of global warming the climate change. And also the technology advances have introduced inventions that modernized and mechanized our way of life. However, a lot of these inventions were made without consideration of the effects they would have on the environment. Our planet is really is really in danger, the natural environmentair, water, soil, wildlife and forest is continuously being destroyed by human activities. These activities, though providing us with our essential needs and making our lives comfortable, bring harm to the environment. So therefore, we should be wise of using technologies because sometimes these technologies bring harm not only to the environment but also to our body.

What was the presentation all about? The presentation of the documentary was about global warming. The video has brought a huge awareness to global warming and calls for more government actions with regards to the climate. The film contained a copious amount of fascinating information. It has also explained the danger that our world is currently facing. Immediate actions would necessary to prevent this global crisis. The causes of global warming are said to be the human race in general. There are many arguments of what the true causes of global warming really are. The other main cause that is being discussed is all the carbon emissions from all of the factories and manufacturing plants. The reason why we are concerned is because the temperature is supposable changing rapidly. This is said to be the highest temperature we have seen since thousands of years ago. The other thing that is thought to produce the extreme temperature changes is the greenhouse gasses. These are made up of carbon dioxide which is the number one cause for the raise in temperature. The effects of global warming on the earth. The main effects that are feared to happen are the melting of the glaciers and the drying of the rain forest. The melting of the glaciers would raze the ocean so much that it would put five miles from the shore under water. There would be less rainfall in numerous places with the result of the deaths of many crops. Storms would become more frequent. The types of storms would include hurricanes and

tornadoes of immense power. The extreme changes in the weather and environment would put a lot of species into extinction. The human race would... On the agenda in the Ministerial Meeting of the World Trade Organization (WTO) in Cancun, Mexico September this year is the proposed liberalization of the service industries, which, unlike the industrial or agricultural industries, had not been subjected to any global trading agreement before. For how can trade tariffs be imposed or lifted on services which cannot be placed in boxes or container vans? But the WTO neo-liberal magicians have found a way of making services tradable' globally and, consequently, in liberalizing its global trading - by allowing the freer entry (meaning setting up shops or buying into local service industries) of foreign service providers (e.g., banking, telecom, distribution, education, etc.) and by asking the host countries to treat them equally like the locals. In addition, the WTO's General Agreement on Trade in Services (GATS) encourages the freer movement of personnel of foreign service providers and the relaxation of rules on service consumption

As a student I can help our community first, I will set myself as a good example to my fellow student and to the community. I will encourage them to join to a community service; tree planting etc. second, is Im also going to educate them to throw their garbage in a proper way to segregate bio-degradable to none-bio-degradable. Third, is Im going to tell them to become wise of using modern technologies because though it makes our life easier and comfortable its still have an disadvantage. And lastly I want them to spread the information about the video and encourage everybody to become a leader to their own community. To help our mother earth and prevent unnecessary calamities, because if we are just going to help each other and put everything in action with prayer then everything will be alright. And by this we can now live peacefully and enjoy our lives to the fullest.
