habits can be good, somemes habits can also be an
excusefornotbeingconsciousof ourmovaonfor
doingwhatweredoing.

Im not usually a fan of New Years resoluons, but

this year I have made an excepon. This year I have
resolvedto bemoreawarenotonlyofwhatIdo,but
also the movaon behind what I do. My hope in
doing so is that I might always seek to listen to Gods
sllsmallvoice,andbedeliberateinensuringthatmy
aconsarefocussedontheproclamaonoftheGood
NewsoftheKingdom.

The other thing that comes with the beginning of a

NewYearandthearrivalofopportuniestobeabout
the proclamaon of the Good News is a whole range
of challenges. Oen these challenges can be the
source of paralysis, both personal and instuonally,
parcularly when the opportunies that are
presented to us by God might require us to step
outsideourcomfortzoneorwhatsfamiliartous,and
embracetheunfamiliarandthenew.

God could give us no greater gi than to establish as
our Head the Word through whom God created all
things and to unite us to that Head as members. The
results are many. The Head is Son of God and Son of
Man, one as God with the Father and one as human
beingwithus.WhenwespeakinprayertotheFather,

the Sons Body prays it does not separate itself from
its Head. It is the one Saviour of his Body, and Lord
