Week 16: Home Project Essential Questions: Where in mathematics (and the real world) are formulas used?

How can they be evaluated like expressions and solved like equations? Task: Using various examples, show and explain how equations and formulas are used in a variety of mathematical topics. For example, formulas are used in geometry (area, surface area, and volume) or in measurement (for conversions between different units of length, mass, or temperature). You must use your own examples to demonstrate how each formula can be evaluated like an expression and solved like an equation. You may choose to represent this by creating a lesson booklet, a poster, or by creating something digitally (e.g. a PowerPoint slideshow or a video). You will be graded, using the following rubric.
