The End October 2012 This is not to start a speculation but to get you ready. If you live with the end in mind, you will live cautiously and better- prepared for the return of the king. God sent us clues in the book of revelation to help us get ready. The letters to the seven churches (Rev 2 & 3) was a literal letter from Jesus addressing the issues in those churches in Asia Minor, it is a prophetic type for the churches that will exist from Jesus resurrection to the end of age, and it is also a description of people types that exist in all churches everywhere. Finally, its a personal letter to everybody on Earth informing them what God approves, what he dislikes, what he advises, what he promises and what may happen if people dont heed the warning given. Please read and find out which applies to you and take the right decision. The Loveless Church- (Church of Ephesus): Rev 2:1-7. They are devoted but only to doctrines and routines; they are trying but have left their first love (Jesus). They hate the same things God does but too focused on routine. Repent so you eat of the tree of life. The Persecuted Church-(Church of Smyrna): Rev 2:8-11. They will suffer persecution but the grace of God will be sufficient. If you endure, you will not be hurt by the second death,The Compromising Church- (Church of Pergamos): Rev 2:12-17. They love God but are consuming a lot of error and this has marred their relationship with God. Idolatry has come into the church through the back door. He who overcomes will be given manna and a new name written on a stone. The Corrupt Church-(Church of Thyatira): Rev 2:18-29. They have been doing alright but now have opened up to idolatry, giving birth to multiple churches. Infesting the gospel with their brand. God will deal with them decisively. Anyone in there who endures will be judged according to their works, they will be given power over nations and the morning star. The Dead Church-(Church of Sardis): Rev 3:1-6: They have a name that they are alive but are actually dead. Check your life and make things right. Repent so that your name will not be blot out of the book of life. The Faithful Church-(Church of Philadelphia): Rev 3:7-13. God is pleased with you because you keep his word and he will keep you through it all and when you persevere to the end, will be spared the time of persecution and you will become a pillar in his temple and be given Gods name and the name of New Jerusalem and his name. The Lukewarm Church-(Church of Laodicea): Rev 3:14-22. They are neither hot nor cold. They are just in-between not committing to anything but coming for the ride. They think they are rich lacking nothing; they probably have the most knowledge in history but lack the depth in God. They are even materially rich but spiritually poor. Many are in danger of being spat out by God. You need to repent and humble yourself, purify your garments and purify all that is in you by the fire of God. You are also to key into the spirit of Holy Spirit so you can be sensitive to what is coming. Those who endure will be given a seat on Jesus throne. The letters to the churches show the different personalities that make up the church of the living God. You may be one or more of the examples cited above. Please dont dismiss this off the cuff, you may be in a living church and be personally dead with your walk, you may love God but be caught in your own agenda to the detriment of your walk, you may be devout but committed to a church with false doctrines, you may be under heavy attacks and yet you may not have done anything wrong. He who has an ear let him hear what the spirit says to the churches. Shalom.
