I have more than 30 years of teaching experience in the subject of gross anatomy,
neuroanatomy, embryology and histology as detailed below:

i. 23 years of teaching in Pakistan to undergraduates of M.B;B.S., Nursing,


Physiotherapy and BDS courses by traditional method e.g lectures, dissection of
cadavers ,tutorials and seminars.
ii. 23 years of teaching in Pakistan to postgraduates of various diploma and degree
courses like M.Phil, DGO, DLO, DMJ and F.C.P.S. by lectures, practicals and seminars
etc.

iii. Six and a half years teaching experience of integrated teaching system and
problem based learning (PBL) by power point presentation to various under and
postgraduate degree courses conducted by School of Medical sciences, School of
Health Sciences and School of Dental Sciences, University Science Malaysia. Teaching
is done by lectures, fixed learning modules (FLM), practicals, small group discussions,
self assessment workshops, problem based learning (PBL) ,electives courses,
academic and non-academic seminars, training in skill laboratory, training in community
and many other community oriented workshops.

2. Teaching load

Six hours per day for 34 days a month. It includes lectures, practicals, seminars and
research activities. Almost 2-3 lectures and 2-2 practicals per week. One lecture per one
month by teleconference delivered through internet to all universities of Malaysia
Normally there are two semesters in each year for all undergraduate courses.
Student of every undergraduate course has to present his/her research protocol before
their final exams. Teaching is done by block system. At the end of each block(systems

of body) , each student is supposed to present one item of the block by power point
presentation are conducted by close circuit TV.

3. Supervision of post graduates

I have supervised two undergraduate medical students for their elective research work.
Recently Master in Clinical anatomy course has started this year. I will be supervising
one student.

Management Office, University Sains Malaysia as main researcher in 2003
2. Short Term Grant as main researcher from Research Creativity & Management
Office, University Sains Malaysia in 2005.
3. Short term Research Grant No. STG-304/PPSP/6131421 as co-researcher from
Research Creativity & Management, University Sains Malaysia in 2006

5. Administrative activities

I worked as demonstrator, assistant, associate and regular professor and Head of


Anatomy department of anatomy for four and a half years in Pakistan and Malaysia.
I have administered a number of other committees as mentioned in my CV.
In University Science Malaysia, I am coordinator of Musculoskeletal block for M.Med
. course.
Mentor of group mentor Program, member of extra curricular committees of
Medical students like debates, sports, Quiz competitions, community health work
which are compulsory as a part of their curriculum for each student of USM.
Recently I have launched ‘Malaysian Association of Clinical Anatomists” here and at
present I am the secretary general of MACA.

6. Computer skills

As computers, multimedia, LCD and Power point are the main tools used for teaching,
administrative job and research work in daily life by each faculty member So I am quite
competent in computer skills like Microsoft word, Microsoft Power point, Moodle, Phptoshop
SPSS.Exel etc.
