During our reunion celebration at FGA in Newport
(Christs Chapel River Campus) back in August, I was
told a wonderful story about Gods amazing provision
and a literal church plant.
If you have ever been to the FGA campus, you will
certainly remember the VERY steep hill on which the
church sits. The church was growing and parking
was limited. They needed an additional parking area
in order to keep growing as a congregation.
There was a house and piece of property adjacent to
the property that James Fields had attempted to
purchase on several occasions, but the owner of the
house and property refused to let it go.
As an act of true faith, one of the board members
took a one dollar bill out of his pocket, dug a hole and
planted that bill on that specic piece of property. He
and several others then prayed for Gods favor.
As you may well have guessed, the property owner
had no control over the power of prayer and the
planting of a church. It wasnt long before he sold
that property to Full Gospel. It is now a level parking
lot and has served a variety of purposes over the
years from tent meetings to community outreach
events and church picnics.
God used an act of faith and prayer to grow a little
church in Newport which has become a prominent
xture in that city. His provision never ceases to
amaze me.
Have a Wonderful and Blessed Christmas and New
Year!

God has given us a great year! Our Men's
Conference and Light for the Lost rallies were all
outstanding events.
I am certainly grateful for our churches, pastors
and individuals who gave and supported our
LFTL rallies this year.
I believe we will see many reports of people giving
their lives to Christ through the finances given
through the pledges from our Light for the Lost
rallies.
I am also thankful and blessed to have pastors and
layman around the Kentucky District who support
Kentucky Men's Ministries in prayer, labor, and
finances.
I want to wish you and your families a Merry
Christmas and a Happy New Year.
I look forward to serving you in 2013. I believe God
will give us another fantastic year for the men of
the Kentucky District.

From the walkathons - to the celebrations and all the way down to
the Powette and retreats this year has been breathtaking to say the
least for our girls ministries,
I am so proud of all the new coordinators who have come along-
side us to begin their new programs. In 2013 we hope to have
many more join us. Other denominations are now calling us
to get discipleship into their girls programs. Wow! That's
incredible!
Remember, if you need training for your team I am a phone
call away for you! Email me night or day with questions,
suggestions, comments or fanciful ideas!

Since 2004, hundreds of students have prepared themselves for ministry by completing course work through KSOM.
Those students are from throughout Kentucky; from Paducah to Raceland; from Erlanger to Corbin, and all places in
between. We also had students from Indiana, Ohio, Tennessee and West Virginia.
Most of these students are serving the Lord in their local church as a; Childrens Pastor/Worker, Youth Pastor/
Leader/Sponsor, Associate Pastor, Womens Ministry Director, Mens Ministry Director, Teacher, Board
Member, Worship Team Leader/Member, Connect Team Minister, and in many other ways.
Our KSOM students are having a great impact throughout Kentucky. Of the 380 credentialed ministers in Kentucky, 70
are current or former KSOM students. Of those 70 KSOM students who are credentialed ministers; 29 are now, or have
been the Pastor of a church in Kentucky (three of which are successful church planters), two are the Pastor of a
church outside of Kentucky (one in Florida, one in Kansas), two are Missionary Associates, one is a Sectional
Presbyter, and one is an Assistant Presbyter.
We are so grateful that the Lord has made our mission statement our reality; KSOM, we prepare people for ministry, its
not just for preachers anymore; its for everyone. KSOM serves the local church by helping good church members
become better church members.

TeenChallengeAwardedThreeCommunityGrants
Inside the walls at our three Teen Challenge centers, we know that lives are changing every day. When the community sees the impact as well, we
know the message we preach and the hope we share is spreading beyond our campuses. This fall, Teen Challenge was honored to receive three
grants from corporations and organizations investing in local communities:
Thank you to all of the foundations that have given as well as those of you who faithfully support Teen Challenge. We truly could not
do it without you! May you, your families and your churches have a blessed Christmas season!

Julie Duvall and Jackie, a Priscillas Place student, shared about Teen Challenge at the Zonta

The Staples Foundation has a mission to help organizations that are providing education or job skills training.
Staples gave $1,000 to Teen Challenge that will help the development of the newly constructed vocational

$12,500 grant funds the many activities that occur at Chads Hope everyday: chapel, teaching, counseling, meals

MISSIONARY SUPPORT: WHO, WHEN AND HOW
There are many misconceptions about missionary support. Some are just
misunderstandings which are of little consequence while others may bring great
financial difficulty to the missionary on the field. Other misunderstandngs may
actually cause offense in the local church due to a lack of knowledge of
proceedures within AGUSM and AGWM.
I thought it might be worthwhile to give a brief overview at the process the
missionary follows in raising his/her support.
WHO SHOULD WE SUPPORT? I should underscore that as a fellowship of
believers we should desire to support missionaries from our own fellowship.
This will include both U.S. and World missionaries approved by their sending
agency.
When a potential candidate for missionary service shares their burden with their
pastor or district leader, they are advised to contact the appropriate missions
department: U.S. Missions or World Missions. If, after consultation, they decide
to proceed, the department contacts their district for a recommendation and a
commitment from the district that the district is capable of supporting this
candidate. This means that both the missions department and the district expect
that the missionary will raise the bulk of their support within their own district.
In other words, the district takes ownership of these candidate missionaries.
The churches within the candidate missionarys district are expected and
encouraged to support this missionary before committing to out of state
missionaries
I have often explained it this way. The candidate must bake the cake in his/her
own oven (Kentucky). Most missionaries find some icing in other districts, but if
they cant bake their cake at home, they are in real trouble.
In normal times our door is open to out of state A/G missionaries, but when
Kentucky has several of their own missionaries itinerating and their fate
depends on the Kentucky churches, we must ask that out of state missionaries
contact us at a later date.
WHEN SHOULD WE MAKE A COMMITMENT? The answer is: As soon as
possible. It would be great if our churches would make a monthly commitment
to the new missionary as soon as their approval is announced. It would shorten
itineration time considerably if more churches would do this.
If this isnt feasible, please try to have a monthly commitment form signed and
ready to give to the missionary when he/she visits your church for a service.
HOW SHOULD WE SUPPORT OUR MISSIONARIES? In a word: faithfully. The
missionary is dependent on that monthly support. If a church misses a month
here or there or drops the missionary completely, this creates a hardship for the
missionary and can even affect the missionarys spirit if they feel they are being
abandoned by those on whom they are depending.
We should begin sending support as soon as we sign the form. We should
understand that our commitment should last during their full term, although most
churches will continue with their support as long as the missionary is active.

Currently there are no activities for Kentucky District Royal
Rangers in the cold month of December. That is not correct.
Christmas is an activity that should not be forgotten. Christmas is
actually a celebration of Christs birth. I have seen many such
celebrations and each one is exciting and a little different. One
that stands out during my youth was in Munich Germany. I
received my first BB gun. I did not shoot my eye out or my
brothers, but I did break his two front teeth with the barrel. The
accident contributes to remembering but what makes that
Christmas predominant in my memory was what we did as a
family. My parents told my sister, brother and I to gather up 5 old
toys each. We then took the toys to a local orphanage and
distribute them to the children wishing them a Merry Christmas.
You might say that was my first mission trip. But as a youth of 9
years I did not view it as a mission trip but an act of giving to
others. Watching the orphans laugh and play with the toys brought
great joy to my heart. This Christmas see what you can give as
God gave to us his Son.
Merry Christmas!

Christmas Means No More Gloom
Isaiah 9:1-7 TNIV
The people of Israel had seen enough distressing, dark, gloomy days (:1-2). Like the children of Israel,
we have seen enough distressing, dark and gloomy days. Isaiah promised Israel that there would be no
more gloom, because unto us a child has been born (:6). Because of the birth of Christ, the promise to
Israel is our promise, There will be no more gloom (:1), because, unto us a child has been born (:6).
There is no more gloom for us, because Jesus is our Wonderful Counselor.
There is no more gloom for us, because Jesus is our Mighty God.
There is no more gloom for us, because Jesus is our way to the Everlasting Father.
There is no more gloom for us, because Jesus is our Prince of Peace.
The best life lived without Christ is filled with despair and gloom, because of the bondage to sin, the
oppression of guilt, the absence of hope, the dread of doubt, the despair of disbelief, and the anticipation
of death without resurrection.
The most difficult life that is lived with Christ is brightened by the light of Christ. The greatest distress is
relieved by the grace of God. Sin is forgiven. Guilt is expunged. Hope is renewed. Faith is instilled.
Sickness is vanquished. Death is defeated. Life continues forever.
This Christmas, lets abandon the gloomy life of sin, guilt, doubt, despair, and death. Instead, lets
embrace the glorious life of faith, hope and love in Christ.
