SITUATION: As part of the OCCUPY MN event, AIM (American Indian Movernent) will be joining
OCCUPYMN to protest the proposed XL Keystone oil pipeline coming from Canada, Although the
Pipeline will not pass through Minnesota, the Canadian Consulate located in Minneapolis covers several
‘westem states which would have the pipeline run through them,
Protester William Knapp claimed AIM has an appointment with Caniédian Consulate on this date but that
has not been confirmed. As of 10/26/11 1500 hours, The Canadian;Consulate has not raceived any
request for a meeting.

‘AIM plans on holding a press conference at 1000 hours at the Government Center Plaza and them
‘marching over to the Canadian Consulate. They plan on doing this again at 1700 hours.
BACKGROUND: There have been several protests around the country including one on this same site on
912611. Approximately 35 people showed up for this including known AIM activist Clyde Bellecourt. They
{gave speeches and sang songs for about 1 hour. 2 protesters briefly spoke with a representative from the
Consulate but would not continue because the consulate would not answer questions from the whole

Please issue a written trespass notice (attached to any person arrested or cited. If they refuse to

of the completed document and issue the original to the person and property inventory the copy.
Please ask officers to ask each individual upon first approaching him or her "You have been
