While the key driver for succes transformation is the maximum employees solving problems on a regular basis rathe than a few selected people, the mantra for learning and growing organization is solv new problems every day and not same problems, he said.

He further added Strategic Vision, Strategy Deployment, Ownership, Resources and Motive are five gears that need to work together for a successful employee and organization engagement the Business Transformation. He said that when theres an appropriate strategy, its deployment feeling of ownership among employees for the task at hand, sufficient resources and motivation then an organization truly unlocks its potentials and delivers results.

Stressing the critical link between Results, Principles, Systems and tools should never be compromised, he expressed concern that the organizations today focus largely on tools to solve their problems and at times force fit the tools into their system. Shubhrangshu explained that t would not lead to a real transformation as this is like a playing a Snake and Ladder game.

He said while companies practicing lean can expect 2X-4X CAGR than the industry and three times higher productivity levels, those who have understood in parts will find it difficult to leverage the benefits of Lean. Keeping in mind the difficult economic times India is in, Dr Roy said in his presentation, There are no fund and wealth problems, only Idea and initiative Problems. His session helped the participants to understand the importance of deploying strategy down to bottom most level in a company, where the real Value gets added and also help remove a lot of misconceptions about Lean.

Lean is about building deep knowledge of processes not immediate countermeasures and shar problems with people so that solutions are easily accepted & Implemented, Dr Roy said, expla how the principle of lean management which owes its roots to practices established by Toyota Motor Corp. works to transform businesses .He signed off saying Lean might be simple to understand but its not easy to implement, you need a coach to guide you through this process transformation.
