com Dear Pastor Search committee, I have recently heard of your need of a pastor on Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminarys website. I am relatively young in the ministry, but I have already seen God grow me in many ways including my ability to communicate his message. Also, God has given me a heart for his word and his people and has grown me in the area of leadership to the point where I believe I can work together with other church leadership to lead a church in the direction God desires. I am currently seeking my Masters in Theological Studies and hope to finish in Dec 0f 2012. I have earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering which has helped me develop team building skills and strong computer skills which can be useful for a pastor in todays technological environment. I am currently employed as a mechanical designer at Clemco Industries in Washington, MO. I am prepared to leave that position to enter full time ministry even at a decrease from my current salary. I believe I meet the biblical requirements of an elder, as stated in the 1Timothy and Titus, including the ability to teach. I have taught a wide variety of age groups throughout my 8 years of being a Christian. I began my teaching experience as a youth teacher, ages 13-18 with great success. I have also taught 7-12 years old children in Sunday school and as a substitute in New Hopes team kids Wednesday night program. I have since had experience in pastoral capacity at Crossroads Baptist Church and Anaconda Baptist Church. Just as important, while teaching these age groups, I have remained faithful to I meet my biblical obligation to teach my children as stated in Deuteronomy 6:7 and Eph 6:4. I have a 6 year old son, Silas, a 5 year old daughter, Rylin, and a 3 year old son, Ezekiel, a 2 year old daughter, Leah, and one newborn, Elam. I teach all my children, daily before bedtime and whenever an opportunity arises in every day life. I believe I meet the requirements listed in 1Timothy 3:4-5 by running my family well with the help of Amy, my wonderful wife of 7 years. As a result of teaching this wide variety of age groups, I feel comfortable teaching sound doctrine in a way that conveys the excitement that Gods word contains while leading people of all ages to spiritual growth.
