MASTER PROGRAMMES
With a worldwide reputation for excellence, our Master programmes are designed for students who seek a rigorous education in world affairs. Taught by our eminent faculty, the small classes and seminars facilitate dynamic interaction between professors, lecturers and students. A prestigious network of partner institutions (Colegio de Mxico, Fletcher, Georgetown, Harvard, National University of Singapore, Tsinghua, UCLA, Waseda, Yale,) allows Master students to spend a semester abroad in Africa, the Americas, Asia or Europe.
Our two interdisciplinary Master programmes offer students a dynamic and global approach to international and development issues. MA in International Affairs MA in Development Studies Two-year full-time programmes (120 ECTS credits including a dissertation) A comprehensive and interdisciplinary perspective on global issues The option to focus on a wide range of subjects Professional skills workshops and applied research seminars Internship and exchange opportunities
Our five disciplinary MA programmes offer specialisations in one of the following key areas: Anthropology and Sociology of Development International Economics International History International Law International Relations / Political Science Two-year full-time programmes (120 ECTS credits including a dissertation) In-depth training and expertise in a specific discipline A focus on applied research and policy analysis Exposure to a variety of disciplines in complementary courses Exchange opportunities

DOCTORAL PROGRAMMES
PhD candidates are attracted to the Institute by the tremendous diversity of expertise in world affairs, the close supervision provided by an international faculty, and the wealth of intellectual and practical resources available in the Geneva area. As part of their doctoral programme, students The Graduate Institute offers six PhD programmes: Anthropology and Sociology of Development International Economics Development Economics International History International Law International Relations / Political Science The four-year programmes offer Doctoral seminars on methodology and epistemology A research-intensive and interdisciplinary environment Teaching and research assistant positions Working opportunities in Genevas international and non-governmental organisations Publication opportunities in the Institutes journals and book series gain substantial research experience and make high-quality and original scientific contributions to current issues. They can also take advantage of the Institutes partner networks to further their research or field experience.
