Keeping our world class healthcare facility clean and neat is a constant battle. Our patient room doors were constantly being subjected to damage from traffic and rolling equipment. Two years ago we began using Acrovyn Doors and theyve eliminated the constant cycle of repair and replacement we were experiencing with our wood and PLAM doors. The Acrovyn Doors still look great, just like the day they were installed, and they have helped to substantially reduce the amount of time our staff used to spend repairing or replacing the doors.

The standard wood doors at Deborah Heart and Lung were constantly being damaged by the facilitys rolling equipment, creating a constant problem for the hospitals engineering department. Deborah asked Ewing Cole Architects, Philadelphia, PA to find a solution to their door problem and Ewing Cole specified Acrovyn Doors for the facility. According to Joe Chirichella, VP of Operations, the Acrovyn Doors have been installed
for over 18 months and they look exactly the same as they did when they were new. We are really amazed at the difference.

Ram Impact Tests

Unlike standard wood or high pressure laminate doors, the Patented Acrovyn Door will not tear, chip or crack. Manufactured in our Pennsylvania plant, every Acrovyn Door features rugged Acrovyn laminate thats five times as abrasion resistant as wood and twice as resistant as HPL. To provide additional protection for a longer door life, the stiles on the Acrovyn Door are field replaceable if ever damaged.

Field replaceable Acrovyn or stainless steel edge guards wrap around both the latch and hinge stiles for ultimate edge protection. Door edges are radiused for improved impact resistance.
