SITP TOWER PROJECT


ORGANISATION Form a team: every team consists of about 8 members. Choose two members from the team to act as observers. TASK Build a tower structure with enough strength to carry a minimum load of a teacup full of water. SPECIFICATIONS Stability Height is not less than 100 cm Materials used: newspapers. Maximum 8 newspapers per team. TIME Design and construct in 45 minutes

CRITERIA OF SUCCESS
CRITERIA Compliance with specifications Design and appearance Bonus For every 10 cm of extra height For using less materials: per one newspaper For finishing before deadline: per one minute SCORE 10 10

DUTIES OF OBSERVERS
INTERNAL OBSERVER
Observes and writes down impression of the way the team is carrying out the project: planning, communication, attitude Monitors the process of doing the work

EXTERNAL OBSERVER
Monitors progress of work team achievements every 5 minutes Ensures compliance with rules Quantity and Quality control
OBSERVERS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO COMMUNICATE WITH THE TEAM AT ALL
