Knowledge of the Unseen Naveed Yar Khan

ZNANJE O NEVIDLJIVOM
FATE, REALITY OF DREAMS, UNSEEN () AND THE SOUL ARE THOSE SPIRITUAL TOPICS WHICH ARE SHROUDED IN MYSTERY AND DENSE MIST. IN THIS BOOK, WE SHALL, BY THE WILL OF GOD, SEE WHAT THE QURAN SAYS ABOUT THE UNSEEN ( )AND TRY TO REMOVE SOME MIST FROM ABOVE IT BY PROVIDING ANSWERS RELATED TO IT. What is unseen () and what is its measure? Does Allah reveal unseen ( )to anyone, to whom and how? Why do the verses of Quran seem to be copied from Bible and other Holy scriptures? What are the sources of knowledge of the unseen? Who are denied knowledge of the unseen and why? What is mans connection with the Unseen? What are the attributes of the blessed ones? What are benefits of having knowledge of the unseen?

What is unseen ( )and what is its measure? With Him are the keys of the unseen - the treasures that none knows but He. He knows whatever there is on the earth and in the sea. Not a leaf falls (out of zillions of leaves in the worlds) but He knows it: there is not a grain in the darkness (or depths) of the earth, nor anything fresh or dry, but is (inscribed) in a record clear1 (Kitabil Mobeen ) Quran 6:59
0F

Now, let us suppose that I say: I have collected a valuable treasure of something in my house. Nobody knows it except me; even my most beloved friend does not know about it. I have a huge fifty thousand square yard house. I have put my treasure in a hidden locker in my house and I have hidden even the key of the locker. None but I know where both the locker and the key are. The security for the treasure is so tight that nobody comes or goes out of my house without my permission. I have fitted security cameras in my house. These cameras make clear recordings of all major and minor incidents in my house.

Famous translator Abdullah Yusuf Ali and great spiritual scholar Qalandar Baba translated Kitabil Mobeen ( ) as a clear record. The Torah was given to Prophet Moses (A.S) on tablets; still Allah used the word Kitab (Book) for it. When we hear the word Kitab or book, into our mind comes a paper book with nice binding and cover. But Allah, the Perfect and Absolute, is not dependent upon paper or printing press, and nor His record of knowledge called the Kitabil Mobeen is. A record or recording can be in any form and can be on anything from paper to plastic or something we cannot understand.
1

Do you think that by making the above statement, I am under a permanent binding neither to tell nor to drop hints about my secret treasure to a most beloved friend of mine? Am I making an oath with this statement that I shall never tell anyone about it or share my treasure with them? Does it mean that since only I know my treasure, and the place where the treasure and the key are hidden, I cannot show the treasure or its video recordings to someone? Arent they my possessions? Does anyone have any right to interfere in my house and my personal belonging? Of course not! If this is the case with me and my treasure, then, who has the right to interfere in the matters of Allah, the creator of the worlds? Unfortunately, we simply do not see below the surface meanings of the Quran and Holy Scriptures because we do not meditate. Say: None in the heavens or on earth, except Allah knows what is unseen: nor can they perceive when they shall be raised up (for Judgment) Quran 27:65

The first ayah of Quran quoted above tells us that all the things, known and unknown, seen and unseen in the universes with minutest details of their existences and movements, exist in an open record which is a treasure of Allah. This Record has been called Kitabil Mobeen in the Quran. The knowledge of this Record is Ilmul Gaib ( ) in Arabic, meaning knowledge

of the unseen. Allah further tells us that with Him are the (password) keys or access codes of this record. Therefore, one line definition of unseen is: Gaib is a record of infinite knowledge of Allah which is clear and open for His sight, but it is hidden from His created beings. Put differently, Kitabul Mobeen or what is in the mind of Allah is Gaib (unseen, unknown and invisible). Only He knows what is in His mind or the ones with whom He has shared some portion of this unlimited knowledge. Allah says this in the following verse: And when Allah said: O Jesus, son of Mary! Did you say to mankind: Take me and my mother for two gods beside Allah? he said: Be glorified! It was not mine to utter that to which I had no right. If I used to say it, then you knew it. You know what is in my mind, and I know not what is in Your Mind. Lo! You, only You, are the Knower of Things Unseen? Quran 5:116
U U

Quran tells us that Allah and His knowledge are limitless. Allah tells us that His knowledge is so huge that no created being can encircle His complete knowledge. Exactly this thing confuses many people when they conjecture that since only Allah knows the visible and invisible, known and unknown or simply the

complete unseen ( ,)thats why nobody can know the unseen. Of course nobody can know even a portion of the unseen if Allah does not permit! But Allah also says in a verse quoted in this chapter that created beings cannot encompass anything from His unlimited knowledge except some portions of it which He shares with them. We must not forget that a drop of water is water, and an ocean is also nothing but water; similarly a portion of unseen ( )is unseen, and the whole unseen is also unseen ( .)What is meant in the two verses quoted below is that we cannot put our small hands around an ocean that has no limits. But according to our limitation and ability, we can hold and drink as much water from the ocean as Allah permits. He knows what (appears to His creatures as) before or after or behind them: but they shall not compass it (His unlimited knowledge) with their (limited) knowledge Quran 20:110 He knows what (appears to His creatures as) before or after or behind them (meaning past, present and future). Nor shall they encircle anything of His knowledge except as He wills. His Throne does extend over the heavens and the earth, and He feels no fatigue in guarding and preserving them for He is the Most High, the Supreme (in glory) Quran 2:255

Science tells us that there are universes beyond our universe with up to eleven dimensions. Allah is the Creator and Cherisher of all the universes (Quran 1:1) and everything that exists in time and space. He sees all the things that exist or happen in day or night (Quran 22:61) and for Him past, present and future of universes and all the beings and things, which means whole time and space, are gathered in as a small dot in His knowledge. We have explained this Black Dot in detail under the heading Mans connection with the unseen in this book. Unto Him belongs whatsoever rests in the night and the day. He is the Hearer, the Knower Quran 6:13 From Allah, verily nothing is hidden on earth or in the heavens Quran 3:5 When Prophet Mohammad (blessings of Allah upon him) was asked to comment about knowledge of unseen and the time of the Day of Judgment, He was told by Allah to say to people that as a limited being he did not and could not know the whole unlimited unseen ( .)Allah says to Prophet Mohammad (Blessings of Allah upon him):

They ask you of the (destined) Hour, when it will come. Say: Knowledge thereof is with my Lord only. He alone will manifest it at its proper time. It is heavy in the heavens and the earth. Only, all of a sudden will it come to you. They ask you as if you were eager in search thereof. Say: Knowledge thereof is with Allah only, but most of mankind know not Quran 7:187
U U

Say (O! Mohammad): "I have no power over any good or harm to myself except as Allah wills. If I had knowledge of the (whole content of) the unseen (The Open Book), I should have multiplied all good, and no evil should have touched me: I am but a warner, and a bringer of glad tidings to those who have faith." Quran 7:188

Unto Him is referred (all) knowledge of the Hour. And no fruits burst forth from their sheaths, and no female carries or brings forth but without His knowledge. And on the day when He calls unto them: Where are now My partners? They will say: We confess unto Thee, not one of us is a witness (for them) Quran 41:47 Lo! Allah! With Him is knowledge of the Hour. He sends down the rain, and knows that which is in the wombs. No soul knows what it will earn tomorrow, and no soul knows in what land it will die. Lo! Allah is Knower, Aware Quran 31:34

Allah also tells us in the ayah above that a moment will come in the lives of people in the future when Hour of Judgment will happen all of sudden and no more it will be a hidden mystery for humanity, for all the people will be present and witnessing it; then, its time of happening will come out of unseen ( )and will become a manifestation (.)

Does Allah reveal unseen ( )to anyone and how? Allah tells us in the Quran that whatever Mohammad (blessings of Allah upon him) spoke, it was by revelation from Allah and with knowledge, received from Him. His words are words of Allah uttered through his mouth; therefore, we must respect the Quran and also his sayings called the Hadith. Nor does he (Mohammad ) speak of (his own) desire. It is no less than inspiration ( )that is inspired ( )Quran 53:3 There not a single explicit verse in the Quran, Bible or any Holy Scripture in which Allah gave His word that He will not or did not reveal His knowledge ( )/ to anyone. In that case, many verses of Quran quoted in this chapter would not be true. (O Mohammad) Say: "Verily my Lord casts ( )the truth (over His servants) - He who is the Knower of Unseen." 34:53

10

It is not fitting for a man that Allah should speak to him except by inspiration, or from behind a veil, or by the sending of a messenger to reveal, with Allah's permission, what Allah wills: for He is Most High, Most Wise Quran 42:51 Allah uses the word reveal numerous times in the Quran to tell us that as a mercy from Him, he reveals knowledge of The Open Book ( ) by various means for the benefit and guidance of all the living and non-living beings other than prophets. He tells us that He speaks with humans through (i) inspiration (ii) veil (iii) and by a messenger man or angel. The verses of Quran quoted below tell us that Allah sends detailed and step-by-step revelation to honey bee for producing honey. He sent revelation to disciples of Jesus and mother of Moses (A.S). He revealed through angels and archangel Gabriel details of the unseen ( )or the things to come to the mother of Jesus (A.S), Mary (blessings of Allah upon her), who was not sent as a prophet to any nation. Even before she conceived her child, she knew in advance without the support of ultra-sound technology that she will give birth to a male child without human intervention and she also enjoyed the pleasure of knowing that her son will be a mighty prophet of Allah; this kind of knowledge is a branch of spiritual science which is known to only those people who know the spiritual content of Quran. However, what science and technology can do the most for us is that it can reveal male or female sex of a child or any birth

11

defects in him/her before birth. But definitely, it cannot reveal sex of a child before conception, and of course, it cannot reveal before conception or birth whether someone will be a carpenter, healer or a prophet. Only Allah can reveal to living and non-living beings in the seven heavens and earths their duties and tasks. Definitely, all these beings are not prophets by any chance. For instance, the honey bee does not know anything about producing honey when it comes out of Larva or Pupa. When we meditate in these facts, we come to know that revelations from Allah are not specific to prophets only as it has become a general public opinion. We should understand that basis of this opinion was formulated by those deceived scholars who had gone astray from ( ) pattern of thought in revelation from Allah (Wahi). And your Lord revealed (sent Wahi: ) to the bee, saying: build your cells in the hills and in the trees and in that which they thatch. Then eat of all fruits, and follow the ways of your Lord, made smooth (for you). There comes from within their bellies a drink of varying colors, wherein is healing for men: verily in this is a Sign for those (open-minded) who reflect (impartially) Quran 16:68-69

12

And when the angels said: O Mary! Lo! Allah has chosen you and made you pure, and has preferred you above (all) the women of all the worlds. O Mary! Be obedient to your Lord, prostrate yourself and bow with those who bow (in congregational prayer ( .)) This is part of the news of the unseen which We reveal to you (O Messenger!) by inspiration: You were not with them when they cast lots with arrows, as to which of them should be charged with the care of Mary: No were you with them when they disputed (the point). Behold! the angels said: "O Mary! Allah gives you glad tidings of a Word from Him: his name will be Christ Jesus, the son of Mary, held in honor in this world and the Hereafter and of (the company of) those nearest to Allah; "He shall speak to the people in childhood and in maturity. And he shall be (of the company) of the righteous." She said: "O my Lord! How shall I have a son when no man has touched me?" He said: "Even so: Allah creates what He wills: When He has decreed a plan, He but says to it,

13

'Be,' and it is!"And Allah will teach him the Book and Wisdom, the Law and the Gospel. And will make him a messenger to the Children of Israel Quran 3:42-48 He (angel Gabriel said to Mary): "Nay, I am only a messenger from your Lord (to give) to you the gift of a holy son (Jesus) Quran 19:19 "And indeed We conferred a favor on you (Moses) another time (before)."Behold! We sent to your mother, by inspiration, the message: "'Throw (the child) into the chest, and throw (the chest) into the river: the river will cast him up on the bank, and he will be taken up by one who is an enemy to Me and an enemy to him': But I cast (the garment of) love over you (Moses) from Me: and (this) in order that you may be reared in front of my eye Quran 20:37-39 "And behold! I inspired the disciples (of Jesus) to have faith in Me and My Messenger: they said, 'We have faith, and do you bear witness that we bow to Allah as Muslims'" Quran 5:111

14

So He completed them as seven heavens in two Days, and inspired (by Wahi ) in each heaven its (assigned) duty Quran 41:12 Qalandar Baba says: Islamic scholars were greatly influenced by Greek philosophy particularly in the 3rd, 4th and 5th centuries. Their intellect appears to be traversing the path formulated by philosophy. In fact, these deceived scholars had drifted away from cognition of Allah ( )which had reached companions ( ) of Prophet Mohammad (blessing of Allah upon him), their successors ( ) and their followers (.) The reality described in the teachings of the prophets was not only rendered ambiguous but was made almost absurd by these followers of philosophy and conjectures. Their intellect made it complex and intricate and they made distorting alterations in the teachings of the prophets which made their disciples go astray.

Hence, the result of these alterations was this that in the teachings of mainstream scholars of Islam, the concept of guidance from Allah through inspiration, vision and true dreams ( ) were gradually replaced with conjecture (.) Then later, despite the fact that Allah forbids following conjecture and says that it cannot take the place of truth revealed by Him through various means, besides Quran and Hadis, conjecture ( ) also became accepted source of legislation

15

in Islam instead of inspiration, and possibility of direct guidance from Allah was thrown out from Islam. This is the reason why opinion of Sufi scholars differs from mainstream scholars of Islam on this subject. The Sufi scholars are blessed by guidance and information from Allah regarding religious and cosmic affairs and they are glad with it, while the mainstream scholars of Islam who have no connection with Allah and who do not know the true worth of inspiration from Allah (Kashf and ilham ) mostly rely on conjecture to formulate Fatwa (meaning opinion in English) for religious, social, economic, political and spiritual matters. But they have no knowledge therein. They follow nothing but conjecture; and conjecture avails nothing against Truth Quran 53:28 If you obey most of those on earth they would mislead you far from Allah's way. They follow nothing but opinion (Fatwa), and they do nothing but guess Quran 6:116 O you who believe! Avoid too much conjecturing for some conjectures are sin Quran 49:12

16

Say: "Of your 'partners' is there any that can give any guidance towards truth?" Say: "It is Allah Who gives guidance towards truth, is then He Who gives guidance to truth more worthy to be followed, or he who finds not guidance (himself) unless he is guided? what then is the matter with you? How judge you?" Most of them (on earth) follow nothing but conjecture. Assuredly conjecture can by no means take the place of truth. Lo! Allah is Aware of what they do Quran 10:35-36 We would like to ask a question here: should the followers of Quran remain content with the surface meaning of the verses of Quran and keep drawing faulty conclusions in line with faulty opinion (Fatwa) and conjecture of deceived scholars? Do they still need to live in this illusion that Allah does not reveal knowledge to anyone and that nobody can discover whatever there is on the earth and in the sea? Should not they make search and research their forte like other nations of the world? Early Muslim scientists, Sufi scholars and scientists have discovered so much about whatever there is on the earth, under the earth, in the seas and in between the earth and skies that we are forced to accept that the ayah (Quran 6:59) quoted in the beginning of this book does not mean what we assume it means. This ayah does say that with Allah are the keys of the unseen treasures; but it does not have any connotation that He will not

17

unlock them or will not share anything from them. In fact, survival of His creatures and created beings is dependent upon His uninterrupted Mercy and unseen treasures. If the survival of human beings is dependent upon oxygen which is exhaled by plants, the survival of plants is dependent upon carbon dioxide which is exhaled by human beings after intake of oxygen. And both, oxygen and carbon dioxide are from the treasures of His mercy. Therefore, we need to correct our understanding and interpretation. Another thing which we need to understand is this that in this ayah the reference is to certain things to come; for instance, Day of Judgment and some scientific or spiritual facts which Allah will reveal to the people at their appropriate time. However, it does not mean by any chance that Allah cannot and will never reveal unknown and unseen ( )things to people. The science has developed so much that now it is quite possible to know in advance what in the womb is with the aid of ultra sound technology. This discovery is not at all in confliction with the verse of Quran: And He knows that which is in the wombs (Quran 31:34). He did not say would not let anyone else know what in the womb is whether it is a male or female, and healthy or sick child. It was wrong conjecture of scholars that Allah will not let anyone know the unseen, unknown and invisible things. Like we said earlier, Allah shares His knowledge of the unseen with all His creatures; otherwise, their survival would have been not only difficult but also impossible, because, all living creatures from birth to death are dependent

18

upon thoughts from Allah. The current of life in all living beings is dependent upon thoughts, imaginations and feelings. In the absence of thoughts and imaginations which are inspired by Allah, values of life will not only become impaired but also incomplete; and, in the end this will render the survival of living beings impossible. There is no doubt that the science does not and cannot keep record of all the things that exist in unseen. But, on the flip side, this is also a fact that by the inspirations from Allah, a lot of unknown and unseen ( )has become accepted science, and scientific development will continue even further in the future. This development would have been impossible if Allah stopped inspiring people with ideas and imaginations. Allah revealed in the Quran that these inspirations are revelation of the Book. Another example of revelation of the Book is invention of electricity by Nikola Tesla who was a very religious Serbian scientist. People would have still been living in darkness if Allah did not inspire him with creative ideas for its invention. But when Tesla started having God-sent visions and dreams, he succeeded not only in producing electricity, but also in sending it wirelessly. Of course Nikola Tesla was not a prophet of God. But he attributes his inventions such as electricity, wireless technology, Aura photography and many other electronic gadgets to the detailed inspirations ( )from God. Tesla used to receive detailed diagrams and pictures ( )about his inventions in his visions. He had understood better than any selfproclaimed believer that the Mercy and inspirations from God

19

are priceless, and that only as a mercy from Him, He reveals the unseen. His sincerity and attachment with God and His creations was to this limit that he gave patent rights for many of his valuable scientific inventions free of cost for the cause of humanity. The self-proclaimed believers and the open unbelievers, both who fall into the category of material worshippers, have much more faith in material means and things then in the Creator of the worlds. To understand this, just imagine a situation in which you are sitting in a room with someone in Belgrade and he says to you: You know! I have a window in my soul through which I can see the Big Ben Tower in London. I see clearly the watch on it and I can even tell you what the time on it is. I see clearly the buildings and things around it. I can see things near and far in time and space through the window in my soul. Your first reaction will be this that you will consider this person who makes such a claim to be either crazy or a liar, or think that he is just a poet. The words of unbelievers were documented in the Quran when Prophet Mohammad (blessings of Allah upon him) and other prophets and saints (Auliya Allah) told to people that they had Tele-viewing (meaning far-off viewing) capabilities; they were duly rejected and even given titles of liar, crazy and poet. But Allah has opened up his signs as He had promised in the Quran. The facts in the Quran which were once considered

20

science fiction or called fairy tales by disbelievers in the time of Prophet Mohammad (blessings of Allah upon him) have become established science. Now, if the same person in our present time says: You know! I have installed new Windows on my laptop; through it I can see live the Big Ben Tower and buildings around it. Now, you have no problem in believing him; do you know why? Because, use of heavy machinery and material is involved in this discussion; and, your own belief in matter material things is stronger than belief in God, who is the original creator of matter and machinery. You consider it very normal for a modern man to be equipped with modern technology which enables him to see the Big Ben Tower live from far off distance and in an entirely different time zone. But, on the other hand, you have a great problem in believing this reality that whatever is about to happen or exist, and everything that happened or existed in the universe, is present in the knowledge of Allah even at this moment. You assume things which are in direct contradiction with Quran and wrongly believe it to be impossible for the All-knowing and All-seeing Allah to show the unseen to anyone whenever He wants. Unfortunately, only the values have changed, but people have not. Even after Allah has put up open signs in front of people through science, they havent stopped denying the signs (verses of Quran) about the unseen. They still consider it to be myth and mysticism. Nevertheless, the Window which Allah has put in the Soul is a much bigger reality than any digital window on

21

computer or TV screen because through this Window from earth up to the throne of Allah is visible to the chosen ones of Allah. The most advanced scientific knowledge in the Quran was ridiculed and denied. It documented words of Allah, His Prophets and His friends. A friend of Allah in the court of Prophet Suleiman (blessing of Allah upon) said he could, not only see the throne of Queen Saba at a far off distance, but that he would fly it into the court in 1000th part of a second. Then, in order to prove his point, he brought it in front of all the people in the court. Though, this was too much for primitive Makkan disbelievers, but we, with all our scientific advancement, still lag far behind in its comprehension or explanation, let alone its actualization. One man (in the court of Prophet Solomon) who had knowledge of the Book said: "I will bring it (the throne of Queen Saba from a far off place) to you within the twinkling of an eye!" Then when (Solomon) saw it placed firmly before him, he said: "This is by the Grace of my Lord to test me whether I am grateful or ungrateful! And if any is grateful, truly his gratitude is (a gain) for his own soul; but if any is ungrateful, truly my Lord is Free of all Needs, Supreme in Honor!" Quran 27:40

22

Most of the people on earth have a problem in accepting this reality that only people are dependent upon material resources, gadgets and devices, but their originator, the God, is not. Allah, the All-Almighty and All-Powerful, has installed in every soul a divine Window to see things far and near in time and space. He tells us in the following verse of Quran that this Window is not working because it is infected with virus of doubt in the unseen and covered with rust of ill deeds. By no means! but on their hearts is the rust of the (evil) which they do Quran 83:14 The Prophet Mohammad (peace and blessings of God be upon him) said: When a slave commits a sin, a black spot appears on his heart (or soul which block his spiritual vision). But if he gives it up, seeks forgiveness and repents, his heart will be cleansed, but if he repeats it, (the blackness) will increase until it covers his heart (and renders him spiritually blind) (Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 3257; Ibn Maajah, 4234; classed as Hassan (sound) by al-Albaani in Saheeh Ibn Maajah, 3422). Due to the rust in hearts, when people close their eyes to meditate in the unseen or the verses of the Quran, they only see blank black screen in front of them. But this is not the case with

23

prophets and chosen ones of God (Auliya Allah). Allah lets them perceive and see things of the unseen ( )as much as he deems fit. He permits them to connect to upper dimensions through Tele-Visions (visions of far off distance) and network connection in the soul. Then, on the basis of their visionary experiences (Kashf-o-Shuhud), they tell to people where the man was before he was born in this world and where he goes after completing his lifetime in this world. Therefore, it should be the demand of our curiosity that we scratch below the surface meanings of the Quran and see if there are also some spiritual and metaphysical facts which lie hidden in the Open Book ( ,)the knowledge of which will make us advance on the spiritual and scientific path. Here, we shall quote an example. For instance, Allah, the all-knowing tells us in the Quran and Bible that: But His command, when He intends a thing, is only that He says to it: Be! and it is Quran 36:82 God said (to the light): Let there Be light, and there was light Bible, Genesis 1:3 Clear meaning of these verses of Quran and Bible is this that things do exist somewhere before they come into existence; otherwise, Allah could not speak with them and give to them the command Be, meaning come into another kind of existence

24

and Move. All the things that exist have their first existence in the knowledge of Allah and they are always within the domain of His knowledge: nothing can have existence outside His knowledge. Qalandar Baba, a great spiritual scientist of highest cadre, discuses world of spirits (Alam-e-Amr ,) which came into existence as a result of the command Be, elaborately in LohQalam, his masterpiece book on spiritual science. In this book, he explains in detail the four worlds: (i) Knowledge of the Pen (ilumul Qalam), (ii) the world of command (Alam-e-Amr ) or the world of Loh-e-Mehfuz ( ( ) iii) the world of illustration ( ) or world of creations (Alam-e-Khalq ) (iv) and material world ( .) He tells us that when Allah, the All-Mighty, intends to give separate existence to things away from His Self, He commands them Be and as a result a new world comes into existence which is called world of command (Alam-e-Amr ) or the world of Loh-e-Mehfuz. This means that intention begins the universe with all its visible and invisible components and their motions 2. Qalandar Baba Auliya Allah, the knower of the command Be (Kun )and the resulting existence (Fa Yakun )tells us that the place or the knowledge in which things existed before coming into existence is Gods own personal
1F

Allah tells us in the verse of the Quran (6:59) quoted at the top of this Book that not a leaf falls but every frame of its movements has its record or recording in His knowledge. The science of videography (The word combines video from Latin meaning I see or I apprehend, with the Greek terminal ending graphy, meaning to write.) has enabled us to discover that motion is of anything is in reality display of different still images which when they are made to run on screen, give us the illusion of motion. In short, motion is made of still images.

25

knowledge. The same knowledge or Knowledge of Pen (ilumul Qalam) has been referred to as The Open Book (Kitabil Mobeen ,) the Mother of all the divine books and scriptures ( ) or abbreviated to The Book ( ) in the Quran. Narrow-minded religious scholar might consider that The Book or The Open Book called the Kitabil Mobeen () is just about religion or religious affairs ( .)But Qalandar Baba, the divine scholar ( ,) tells us that it encompasses all spheres of life in the universe. Science, art, agriculture, culture, economy, metrology, finance, psychology, astronomy, spiritual sciences and decisions regarding life and death of a planet, insect, human and Jinn is recorded in the Book; there is not a subject or thing that has been left in The Book. And all things We have kept in a clear Book Quran 36:12

He further tells us: First and foremost is the Supreme Being of Allah, the most exalted, and record of His knowledge is called the Open Book. The universe existed in His knowledge under His will. When exhibitory display of the universe was desired by Allah, the most exalted, He commanded Be (Kun ), meaning Move! Thus, whatsoever existed in His knowledge in the form of universe, it stirred and motion started.

26

The first movement was this that every existing individual perceived itself. Every individual had this realization that I am. But it was a state of oblivious absorption. Every individual was submerged in an ocean of oneness that has no existing limits. Every individual has only this much awareness that he is. But, where he is, what he is or how he is he had no idea as such. The same state is termed as unification of the being ( .) Mystics (Sufis or pious ones) also call it oneness. This unity is not by any chance, the unity of Allah, the Supreme creator, because it is simply not possible that any attribute of supreme creator could be encased in words or phrases of any language. This unity is merely and artifice of the human mind and only depicts the limitations and constraints of human thinking, which is completely at a loss to narrate justifiably any boundless Attribute of Allah, the most high. It is impossible to express any attribute of Allah by one word or any word of human language. After the state of unification of being, the state of unification of observation ( ) commences at which stage all (yours, mine, living and non-living beings) souls are addressed by Allah, the Most High by these words: When your Lord drew forth from the Children of Adam - from their loins - their descendants and made them testify of themselves, (saying): Am I not your cherisher and sustainer?,

27

They (saw Him and heard Him on the first day just as they will see and hear Him on the Day of Judgment ( ( ) Quran 32:12)) said: Yes, no doubt (You are). We testify. (This testification was done) lest you should say on the Day of Resurrection: Lo! We were unaware of this (reality that you are Allah, our sustainer)3 Quran 7:172
2F

From this point in time the sight of the man, who is the edict of Lord ( ,)comes into being and he beholds that someone has addressed him. The sight focuses on the addressing entity and he says, Yes, Indeed ( .)I acknowledge your Lordship and I do recognize you. This is the point where the Lords Edict ( ) made its second move or turned around for the second time. At this stage he is introduced to plurality. He saw that other creatures were also present besides him; because, now he was conscious of manifested ( )crowd of other creatures around him; he had been given sight to see. This was the second descent of knowledge of the incumbent. Deep realization of his own being and observation of other creatures was acquired by the man in the limits of this descent. The first descent was in the form of knowledge and a knower, that is, man only had realization of his own existence. In this realization of I am, I is the knower and am is knowledge. In the second descent when he comes out state of lostfulness, he witnesses himself and others too; this very state is termed as the state of unification of
3

This reality that we heard and saw our sustainer and testified to Him directly lies deep in the soul. No matter what the people say to deny it by offering excuses, Allah, Quran and our souls are witness to this fact that we knew, heard and saw our Creator even before we were born, otherwise we could not testify he was our sustainer in the life before our birth in this material world.

observation (Alam-e-wahdatush-shuhud .) When the first descent, which was only perception, acquired depth of feeling, then sight was created. Sight is another name for depth in perception. In short, there are two records of beings and things; one record is in the knowledge of Allah and another record or film is of the intention of Allah. Whatever movement or change was about to take place, its exact frame-by-frame, pictorial presentation is present in the Loh-e-Mehfuz. Both these records reveal two separate worlds beyond our physical universe. In fact both these records are the Unseen ( )for the creatures. The record of the knowledge of Allah is called the Unseen of the Unseen ( ) and, record of the intention of Allah is called the Unseen (.) We have already said that Quran and Qalandar Baba tell us that there are two records: one record is of the knowledge of Allah and another record is of the intentions of Allah regarding universe. The record of the knowledge of Allah is called Kitabil Mobeen; therefore, there is only one Kitabil Mobeen. The universe existed in the knowledge of Allah under His command. When He intended to give it a separate existence away from His self, He commanded it to Be. This world which came into existence as result of command Be or Kun () is called Loh-e-Mehfuz. Qalandar Baba tells us that there are other Lohe-Mehfuzs and under them other universes beyond our universe.

29

In the Kitabil Mobeen there are 300.000.000 protected tablets or Loh-e-Mehfuzs.

Why do the verses of Quran seem copied from Bible and other Holy Scriptures?

Allah, the Almighty, chose messengers for the guidance of humanity, and for that purpose He tells us in the Quran that He sent portions of The Book. The Quran, the verses of original Bible which are still in their unaltered form and all other holy scriptures sent by Allah are transcribed portions of the Open Book and of the film of Loh-e-Mehfuz. In order for to us to comprehend this fact, Allah repeats the subject of The Book two hundred and eighteen times in one hundred and ninety three ayahs; few of these have been given below for reference; but, the misery is, most people still do not want to understand the point. Ha-Mim. By the Open Book that makes things clear, We have made it (the Open Book) a Qur'an in Arabic that you may be able to understand. And verily, it (the Quran) is in the Mother of the Book, in Our Presence, high (in dignity), full of wisdom Quran 43:1-4 Nay, this is a Glorious Qur'an, (Inscribed) in a Tablet Preserved (Loh-e-Mehfuz) Quran 85:21-22

31

(This Quran is) the Revelation of the Book in which there is no doubt, from the Lord of the Worlds Quran 32:2, 46:2, 45:2, 40:2, 39:1 That which We have revealed to you (Mohammad) of the Book (Kitabil Mobeen) is the Truth, verifying what was (revealed) before it Quran 35:31 And indeed it (the Quran) is a Book of mighty power Quran 41:41 Have you not seen those (Christians, Jews and Hindus etc.) who have been given a portion of the Book (the Open Book ?) They are (once again) invited to The Book of Allah (in the form of Quran) to settle their disputes, but a party of them Turn back and decline (The arbitration) Quran 3:23, 4:51

32

O people (Christians, Jews, Hindus etc.) of The Book! There has come to you our Messenger, revealing to you much that you used to hide in The Book, and passing over much (that is now unnecessary). (Again) There has come to you from Allah light and the Open Book ( ) Quran 5:15 Those unto whom We gave The Book before it (the Quran), they believe in it (in this Quran in a continuation) Quran 28:52

Usually Bible scholars criticize that Quran was copied from Bible and that Mohammad (Blessings of Allah upon him) learnt from a Bible scholar and then wrote this Quran. Bible scholars and sometimes even Muslim scholars fail to put pieces of puzzle together; the source of the Quran and all the Holy Scriptures is one writer, the God and one Mother of Books called the Open Book ( ) in the Quran. Of course many verses of Bible, Quran and other Holy Scriptures and writings are exactly similar or similar in content and they could not have been different as they are not the handiwork of human hand, but of one divine hand of God - the one who owns the copyright of the original book which has been mentioned in the Quran as the Open Book. By the way, how could the Bible scholars even notice that there are similarities between Bible and Quran if there were none? Various prophets, messengers and God-fearing people in various times and various

33

parts of the world were inspired by the one existing, subsisting God with same facts that originate from one and the same Book. But the people who have turned a blind eye to the knowledge of the unseen are in dense darkness. It is so because they have shut the window to the possibility of knowing portions of the unseen which Allah reveals to His chosen ones. For reasons mentioned above, Allah asks scholars of the previous scriptures in the Quran how they can reject content of the Quran when they know it is from the same God who sent Jesus, Moses and Mohammad, etc. (blessings of Allah upon them) with similar verses: Without doubt it (the Quran which is a portion of the Open Book) is in the scriptures of former peoples. Is it not a sign for them that Learned of the Children of Israel (already) know it? Quran 26:196-197 And when there came unto them a prophet (Moses, Jesus and finally Mohammad) from Allah, confirming that (portion of the book) which they still possessed (in the unaltered form), a party of those (Christians, Jews, Hindus etc.) who received the Scriptures (earlier) threw away the Book of Allah behind their backs as if they knew not Quran 2:101

34

The people of the Book know this (Quran) as they know their own sons; but some of them conceal the truth which they themselves know Quran 2:146 Those to whom We have given the Book know this (Quran) as they know their own sons. Those who have lost souls refuse therefore to believe Quran 6:20 Verily! my Protecting Friend is Allah Who revealed the Book (from time to time to different prophets). He befriends the righteous Quran 7:196 Allah blots out what He wills, and establishes (what He wills), and with Him is the Mother of Book Quran 13:39

35

Mankind was one single nation, and Allah sent Messengers with glad tidings and warnings; and with them He sent the (same) Book in truth, to judge between people in matters wherein they differed; but the (present and previous) People of the Book, after the clear Signs came to them did not differ among themselves except through hatred one of another. Allah by His Grace guided the believers to the Truth, concerning that wherein they differed. For Allah guides whom He will to a path that is straight Quran 2:213 When Allah made (His) covenant with all the prophets, (He said): Behold that which I have given you of The Book and Wisdom. And afterward there will come unto you a messenger, confirming that which you possess. You shall believe in him and you shall help him. He (Allah) said: Do you agree, and will you take up My burden (which I lay upon you) in this (matter)? They answered: We agree. He said: "Then bear witness, and I am with you among the witnesses." Quran 3:81 Certainly, this covenant was not made with the prophets in this world as it is clear and logical. It was certainly made before their arrival in this world in the presence of Allah where all the 1.25.000 prophets were gathered apart from the spaces in time in

36

their physical birth. From this fact we can draw only one conclusion that people had conscious even before they were born in this world.

37

What are the sources of knowledge of the unseen? The unseen or gaib is relative to people; whatever you have not seen or experienced is your unseen or gaib, but it is not unseen of someone who has experienced it. The unseen of humans is known and seen of angels. The angels and Jinns partly knew the unseen of humanity before their creation. And when your Lord said to the angels: Lo! I am about to place a viceroy in the earth, they said: Will you place in it one who will do harm therein and will shed blood, while we, we hymn Thy praise and sanctify Thee? He said: Surely I know that which you know not Quran 2:34 From the verse above it is evident that angels and Jinns had some knowledge of deeds of men beforehand. They knew that men will shed blood on earth, but they had no idea of their knowledge with which Allah was supposed to bless them. This given knowledge from the presence of Allah called Ilm-e-luduni ( ) in Quran was far more advanced than the knowledge possessed by angels and Jinns put together. On the basis of this knowledge, the display of which was made by Adam, the superiority of man was established over angels and Jinns. Thats why angels had to prostrate to the beatific reflection of Attributes of Allah ( ) in the dummy of Adam.

38

Behold, your Lord said to the angels: "I am about to create man from clay. And when I have fashioned him and breathed into him of My Spirit, then fall down before him prostrate Quran 38:71-72 And He taught Adam all the (attributive) names4; then He placed them (the things in the universe) before the angels, and said: "Tell me the names of these (things) if you are right." They said: Be glorified! We have no knowledge except that which you have taught us. Lo! You, only You, are the Knower, the Wise Quran 2:31-32
3F

Allah also gave to the prophets ( ) and Auliya (prophets and saints) knowledge (Ilm-e-luduni ( )) of The Book (Kitab) in the form of Quran, Bible and other Holy Scriptures. But Allah repeats this thing again and again in the Quran that they were given only a portion or some portion of the Book (meaning Kitabil Mobeen and Loh-e-Mehfuz); only Allah has complete knowledge of The Book. Otherwise, Prophet Mohammad (blessings of Allah upon him) would not have been
4

Qalandar Baba Auliya Allah has explained in detail in his book how the universe and all the things in it came into existence with descend of Attributes of Allah. These are the same Attributive names, the knowledge of which was blown into the dummy of Adam.

39

told by Allah that did not know when the Judgment Day would be. As for that which We inspire in you of the Book (Kitabil Mobeen), it is the Truth confirming that which was (revealed) before it Quran 35:31 The Arabic word Gaib (unseen or invisible) does not mean none existing or absent ( .)It simply means that certain things exist but they are invisible to some created beings. But according to verses of Quran nothing is invisible to Omni-seeing ( )God. Therefore, as have said earlier, unseen ( )is relative and it is related to creatures only. If the Omni-potent ( ) is willing, He can show or let anyone know about it at any time He wants; nobody is there to stop Him. We all know that angels and Jinns are creatures of unseen world and they live behind the curtain of Unseen ( .) But the world in which they live, their own lives and activities are not unseen ( )for them. On the contrary, it is manifest ( )for them. Hence, the unseen (Gaib) of ordinary men is visible to the angels: unseen of angels is visible to prophets and friends of Allah: unseen of prophets, saints and all the created beings is in the knowledge of Allah, and it is in a record which has been called Kitabil Mobeen.

40

In this context we must keep one more thing in mind that Allah created man to be viceroy and not the angels. And in order to accomplish his duties as a viceroy, He gave him far more superior knowledge of the unseen than the angels or any other living beings. Therefore, any friend of Allah, whether he is a prophet or saint, must know about the unseen (the Book and wisdom) as much as Allah teaches him. Allah explained this thing by mentioning example of Jesus Christ in the Quran: And Allah will teach him the Book and Wisdom, the Torah and the Gospel Quran 3:48

When we look at the success track record of Prophets of Allah such as Mohammad, Jesus or Moses etc., (blessings of Allah upon them) and how much they influenced human civilizations, history and culture, it is every evident that though they were not university post-graduates or doctorates, but still they possessed knowledge and wisdom which was not for a certain era but it was universal in the sense that it shines through even today.

41

Who are denied knowledge of The Book? Those whose effort gets astray in the life of the world, and yet they reckon that they do good work Quran 18:104 Allah says in the Quran that majority of people on earth know only the outer (things) in the life of this world: but they are unaware of the End of things (Quran 30:7). All their lives, their efforts keep roaming in the worldly affairs and in achievement of worldly goals, and in the end they think they are successful people when they look at their huge worldly achievements. They are neither interested nor meditate in the signs of Allah so that they could discover the purpose of creation. The disbelievers and hypocrites in their daily routine give preference to the life of this world and desire nothing but life of this world (Quran 79:38, 53:29, 53:29). Giving themselves up to (worldly) enjoyment makes more sense to them (29:66). They love the life of this world more than the Hereafter (Quran 14:3, 16:107). The mutual rivalry for piling up (the good things of this world) diverts them (from serious contemplation in their soul (Quran 102:1,)). Consequently Allah forgets them the way they forget Allah and denies them access to the Knowledge which He gave from His presence. They at times of need pray to God but their communication remains only one-sided for they never see that Allah hears and sees, and answers prayers. His answering is heard by only those chosen

42

ones that have been raised in status by Allah on basis of the knowledge of the Book. And your Lord has said: Call on Me and I will answer your prayer Quran 40:60 The people who have been denied knowledge comment that we should not as much as open our mouths to speak a word about the Unseen ( .)We say rightly so; the knowledge of the Unseen is a distinguished attribute of Allah specific to Him alone. Those who have been denied it had better remained quiet about it. In their silence lay their safety, for they neither know anything about it and nor they are cognizant of the Omnipotency of Allah (.) Forever lasting Allah is forever Omni-potent also. He with His mercy can bestow knowledge ( ) from His presence to anyone, any time and as much as He wills; no one is there to hold His hand. So they found one of Our servants ( ,) on whom We had bestowed Mercy from Ourselves and whom We had taught knowledge from Our own Presence Quran 18:65 Anyone among the ill-informed, ill-taught and ignorant who deny or contradict with Allah on this issue will carry a

43

curse of Allah upon them because they in their ignorance cannot differentiate between Prophecy ( ) and Mercy ( .)Prophecy has ended, Mercy of Allah has not, and it cannot stop till the heavens and earth exist. The heavens and earth will also stop exiting if He stops His mercy. But most people do not understand the greatness of Allah and His mercy; they understand only superficial meanings of the verses of Quran. Their thought never passed near His presence and gifts from His presence. How could they have an idea that in how many ways Allah, the Lord of Honor and majesty, showers His blessings upon His near and dear ones? Allah cursed the ignorant Jews in the following verse of Quran who made similar statements: The Jews say: Allahs hand is tied up. Be their hands tied up and be they accursed ( ) for the (blasphemy )they utter. Nay, both His hands are widely outstretched: He gives and spends (of His bounty and treasure of knowledge) as He pleases Quran 5:64

Quran tells us that before had Allah put down humans on earth, he addressed each one of them and told them, His guidance will come to them regardless of their time and place of birth and their religious or family background. For that matter, instead of relying on your own conjecture and drawing conjectural meaning, please see carefully that Allah uses the

44

word Jamiyan meaning collectively in the original Arabic text of the Quran. This word is very similar to the word Jamaat, which means assembly which we use frequently to refer to congregational prayers. Hence, all the human beings were promised guidance. The verse quoted below tells us that all the human beings were commanded by Allah to get down from Heavens due to disobeying Allah. But the at the same time He promised them that His guidance will keep coming to them, and whoso follows His guidance, they will neither be sad nor they shall grieve. The ignorant ones who disagree with obvious meaning of this verse will certainly have to carry the burden of disagreeing with Allah. And those who say that true guidance from Allah is specific to the prophets of Allah only, actually deny a reality in this Ayah and indirectly say that Allah has breached His promise which He made to each individual among the humans. We have met so many people in remote and rural areas of the world who were born, lived for seventy or eighty years and died but they never heard Quran, and teachings of the true faith never reached them. But does it mean that guidance Allah of never reached them? Of course not! Regardless of physical factors, Allah sends an urge for guidance to every soul in their spirit ( )about their survival in this world and in hereafter, just as He sends instinctive guidance to an insect inside a stone and fish at seabed to fight for their survival in this material world. This is another matter that very few follow this spiritual

45

urge or utilize the guidance that reaches them physically or spiritually through divine dreams. We said: Go down all of you (humans collectively) from here (the heavens); but verily there comes to you from Me guidance; and whoso follows My guidance, there shall no fear come upon them neither shall they grieve Quran 2:34 We have made a mention of this aspect of reality in this discussion about Unseen, so that those who intend to understand may understand that Allah showers His blessings upon His prophets, friends and even ordinary people, and He raises them in status with knowledge of The Book that comes to them through inspiration and vision ( - ) the knowledge which is beyond conscious understanding and comprehension of human beings, Jinns and even angels. However, when the knowledge of the friends of Allah is manifested through their miraculous deeds or wisdom words, the angels, the Jinns and human beings just watch in amazement, because they lack the ability to provide logical explanation for them. Say: "Verily my Lord hurls the truth (over His servants), He that has full knowledge of (all) that is unseen ( ".)Quran 34:48

46

What is Mans Connection with the Unseen? Before the creation of Adam, Allah made an announcement that He would make man His vicegerent on earth. The angels and Jinns asked: Will you make your vicegerent the one who will shed blood on earth. Allah replied to them that He had knowledge which they did not possess. And when thy Lord said unto the angels: Lo! I am about to place a viceroy in the earth, they said: Will you place therein one who will do harm therein and will shed blood, while we, we hymn Thy praise and sanctify Thee? He said: Surely I know that which you know not Quran 2:30 After Allah created Adam from dust and from his rib his progeny, He transferred His most superior knowledge to human soul. The transference of divine knowledge is described in the Quran in three different verses of Quran. But this divine knowledge remains dormant in the soul (human sub-conscious) until Allah brings it to Conscious with revelation and inspiration. Qalandar Baba says in his book:

47

There could be thousands of examples of worldly skills from which we would deduce only one conclusion that by nature man is everything such as an artist, a writer, a calligrapher, a tailor, a carpenter, a philosopher, a physician etc. etc. He has to practice certain exercises to be a master in a specific field. Only then he is given one of the various names and we say that one has become an artist or a philosopher. In fact all the abilities and qualities were already there in his mind (soul). All that a teacher could do was to be an instrument in awakening the desired ability. Coming back to the point, just as a person is an artist, a calligrapher or a philosopher, similarly he has by nature special spiritual features and traits of a Cognizor (Knower or ,)a spiritualist, a saint, a holy man, a devout or that of a prophet (since prophethood has come to an end, therefore, no prophet could be discussed here, only a spiritual person, whatever his name maybe, is indicated here). The verses of Quran regarding the transfer of knowledge are as under: 1. Allah tells us in the following verses of Quran about an incident which took place after He created man from clay and He blow into him from His soul. In reality the angels and Jinns were supposed to prostrate to the dummy of man which was made of mud in which Allah was to blow the Soul of His Sovereign Attributes ( .) Allah and

48

Qalandar Baba tell us that these are the same Attributes the components of which took form of creations. And thus have We inspired you (Muhammad) a Soul ( )of Our command. You knew not what the Book was, nor what the Faith. But We have made it a light whereby We guide whom We will of Our bondmen. And lo! you verily do guide unto a right path Quran 42:52 The angels understood this fact and prostrated. But the Iblis (a person from the species of Jinn) argued with Allah about the outer shell which was made from clay. His argument was that he was made from fire and man was made from mud, and since fire can burn mud, therefore, he was superior to man. But he made two technical mistakes. Firstly, he heard what was being said, but he did not consider who the speaker was - it was Allah, his Creator and Sustainer, who is never wrong. Secondly, he looked at the man who was made from dust or components of earth, but he failed to acknowledge the Soul of divine Attributes ( ) inside that man. Iblis mistake of refusal to prostrate due to his arrogance and ignorance ( ) caused him to become an outcast and a disbeliever ( .)Unfortunately, this mistake was not done only once by the Lucifer, but, since the day of

49

creation, ignorant men and Jinn who follow the whispers of Satan have been repeating this same mistake over and over again. They in their ignorance not only fail to acknowledge gift of Allah to the man, but as result of their ignorance, fail to use this most worthy gift for which they were created. Unfortunately, only the chosen ones of Allah come to this understanding that a man cannot be the viceroy of Allah unless he has understanding of his soul ( ) and the purpose for which this soul ( )was blown into his body. Allah tells in the Quran that purpose for which soul was put inside the body was to serve Allah. Behold, thy Lord said to the angels: "I am about to create man from clay. And when I have fashioned him and breathed into him of My Spirit, then fall down before him prostrate. So the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together. Not so Iblis:

50

he was haughty, and became one of rejecters (Kafireen). (Allah) said: "O Iblis! What prevents you from prostrating thyself to one whom I have created with my hands? Are you haughty? Or are you one of the high (and mighty) ones? " Iblis) said: "I am better than he: you created me from fire, and him you created from clay." (Allah) said: "Then you get out from here: for you art rejected, accursed."And My curse shall be on you till the Day of Judgment." (Iblis) said: "O my Lord! Give me then respite till the Day the (dead) are raised." (Allah) said: "Respite then is granted you till the Day of the Time Appointed." (Iblis) said: "Then, by Your (given) power, I will put them all in the wrong, except your servants among them, sincere and purified (by Your Grace)." (Allah) said: "Then it is just and fitting and I say what is just and fitting, that I will certainly fill Hell with you and all those that follow you." Quran 38:71-85 2. Another verse in Quran discusses the same incident in these words that Allah showed to Adam all the things in The Book and taught him their names and attributes; therefore, man received from Allah practical and observational knowledge. In other words, this teaching was not in the conventional mode of using pen and paper or reading and memorizing a book. Instead, Allah transferred His knowledge by blowing into his soul from His spirit and as a result man observed all the things and their attributes. Then He presented all the things to the angels and asked them to tell Him their names. They admitted their ignorance. Then He said to Adam to make a presentation of his knowledge. After Adam made a presentation of knowledge which he had received from Allah,

51

Allah told angels to prostrate to Adam. But the Iblis, who was from among the Jinns, got confused because of the reason mentioned earlier. If you can read Arabic text below please see that Allah says that he became a disbeliever (Kafir) due to his rejection of divine commandment. It is very clear from these verses that Iblis used to go into the presence of Allah; he used to see and communicate with Allah. But then he became a disbeliever (Kafir) and a rejecter. Therefore, the Arabic word Kafir (rejecter) does not only mean someone who denies the existence of God, the Day of judgment etc., but this word also includes those hypocrite Muslims, Christians, Jews, Hindus and all those who do not obey the commandments of Allah. And He taught Adam the names of all things; then He placed them before the angels, and said: "Tell me the names of these if you are right." They said: "Glory to Thee, of knowledge We have none, save what You Have taught us: In truth it is You Who are perfect in knowledge and wisdom." He said: "O Adam! Tell them their names." When he had told them, Allah said: "Did I not tell you that I know the secrets of heaven and earth,

52

and I know what ye reveal and what you conceal?" And behold, We said to the angels: "Bow down to Adam" and they bowed down. Not so Iblis: he refused and was haughty: and so became a rejecter and disbeliever ( ) Quran 2:31-34 The hypocrites, both men and women, are from one another. They enjoin the evil, and they forbid what is right, and they withhold their hands (from spending for the cause of Allah). They forget Allah, so He has forgotten them. Lo! The hypocrites, they are truly disobedient ones. The Hypocrites will be in the lowest depths of the Fire: no helper will you find for them Quran 9:67, 4:145 3. The third reference regarding transfer of knowledge tells us that Allah presented His treasure of knowledge to all the beings in the heavens and earth; they all expressed their inability to accept it but humans took it. However, after accepting His treasure of knowledge, they let it lie dormant in their soul; that is why Allah calls them unjust and ignorant ones.

53

We did indeed offer the Trust (of knowledge) to the Heavens and the Earth and the Mountains; but they refused to undertake it, being afraid thereof: but man undertook it; He was indeed unjust and foolish Quran 33:72 Regarding this treasure of knowledge of the Book which man received from Allah, Qalandar Baba says in his book: Whether it is in the (conscious) knowledge of an individual or not, every individual enjoys a specific position in the whole entirety. If it had not been so, man would not have been familiar with moon, stars and an altogether different atmosphere existing beyond his own planet, Earth. His sight sees all the heavenly bodies, and this thing is a proof of the fact that human senses recognize environment beyond this globe of ours. This recognition, in the Sufistic terms, is called cognition of the Attributes of Allah. In other words, we could say, sight in human conscious sees the outer or physical universe; whereas, sight in human Sub-Conscious sees the unseen of the universe. Or put differently, we could say that mans Sub-Conscious has comprehensive knowledge of shapes, forms, movements and internal senses of every particle in the universe. He cannot understand all these hidden activities only because he does not know to study his own Sub-Conscious. This study is possible after awakening potentialities of dreams. What Qalandar Baba is telling us here is that human soul possesses a supreme knowledge which even the angels were not

54

given; thats why they were told to prostrate to man. But without striving to awaken the Capabilities of the Soul5 with the guidance of revelation ( )and inspiration ( ,) human beings are as miserable and lowly as any four-footed animal.
4F

For the worst of beasts in the sight of Allah are the deaf and the dumb - those who understand not (the Quran) Quran 8:22

Now let us discuss mans connection with the unseen scientifically. The scientific theory of Big Bang, which was proved by two scientists who were also awarded with Nobel Prize, tells us that our forever expanding universe emerged from a dot with zero volume and infinite density. Science has discovered only this much that universe is expanding, but where it is expanding scientists have no idea, because there is nothing beyond the universe. In scientific terms, a dot with zero volume means a non-existing dot. In other words, universe was created by Allah from a dot of nothingness which is beyond the comprehension and explanation of human consciousness and it came into being with a well orchestrated and organized outburst or explosion. This unknown and unseen reality (Gaib) which was discovered by modern physics only in the 20th century was revealed by Allah in the Quran more than fourteen centuries
5

Capabilities of the Soul is a title of our another book.

55

ago. And only He could reveal to us through Quran that the universe is expanding in His knowledge. The Big Bang Theory also showed that in the beginning all the beings and things in the existing visible and invisible universes were gathered in a single dot and then later they were separated from each other. Qalandar Baba says: In Tasawwuf, perception of this dot is called the Fatha ( .)In the Realm of this dot, we and rose are both just one Self. We begin our life from First beyond the Universe Conscious called the First Conscious. In other words, a fountain bursts out in the attributes or attributive knowledge of Allah; and at the third step it turns into a being. This fountain bursts from the same dot mentioned in Quran, Tasawwuf and later in science. He is the Originator of the heavens and the earth Quran 6:101 Have not those who disbelieve seen (in their Soul) that the heavens and the earth were of one piece (backward in time), then We parted them, and we made every living thing of water? Will they not then believe? Quran 21:30 But does not man call to mind that We created him before out of nothing? Quran 19:67

56

Has there not been over Man a long period of Time, when he was nothing - (not even) mentioned? Quran 76:1 When Allah wanted to teach names and attributes of all the things in the universe, he transferred a limited ( ) but sufficient amount of knowledge of His attributes to Adam or the single Self also called the Soul. Only Allah knows all His attributes fully and well. Allah tells us in the Quran that He did that by blowing into a dummy structure of clay the Attributes of His knowledge. Behold, thy Lord said to the angels: "I am about to create man from clay. And when I have fashioned him and breathed into him of My Soul, then fall down before him prostrate Quran 38:71 O mankind! Be careful of your duty to your Lord Who created you from a single soul and from it created its mate and from them twain has spread abroad a multitude of men and women Quran 4:1

57

In this context we must keep in mind the above mentioned discovery of science and words of Qalandar Baba that the universe came into existence without physical material and means. This means that the Universe existed in the knowledge of Allah under His intention. Qalandar Baba says: (Previously) when Allah had desired to create the Universe, He command it Be and the components of His attributes became the face of universe, that is, components of attributes of Allah formed themselves into a face of many versatile things. This face is conglomeration of all the souls or the components which took distinct shapes of various created beings. These are same attributes, the knowledge of which was transferred to the Soul by blowing into the dummy of man. Revelation and inspiration from Allah of The Book serve as reminder or revision of this knowledge. And is it not enough for them that we have sent down to you the Book which is read to them? Verily, in it is Mercy and a Reminder to those who believe Quran 29:51 Qalandar Baba continues: Thus, the first definition of the creation would be that the indivisible entities, the souls, termed as the Command of Allah in the Quran, became visible as existents. Keeping in mind this definition, we cannot ignore the relationship between the Creator and the creations (that the

58

Attributes of the Creator formed themselves into the creations). This very relationship in Tasawwuf 6 is termed as Joo (the Ethereal Realm).
5F

The second definition of Joo is that, that the creatures at every step are dependent upon their link or connection with the Creator since the very Attributes of the Creator perpetually (every 1000th or even less of a second) renew their life. The wave of the Attributes ( )keeps passing through the center of creations. It is Allah who begins (the process of) creation; then repeats it (perpetually); then shall you be brought back to Him Quran 30:11 The man, therefore, at one side is a created being full of imperfections and faults in his consciousness. But on the other hand, the soul has conglomeration of unlimited Attributes of Allah and their knowledge. Allah in an ayah quoted below tells us that knowledge of the soul given by Him was limited from His perspective. But on the other side and from the perspective of created beings, this knowledge is so huge that it seems unlimited to them. A simile of this knowledge can be given with an imaginary pool in the center of an unlimited ocean; it will have all the

attributes of the ocean and its width and depth, it will be like an ocean in itself. Though, it will not be the ocean or the Originator because it will be a creation of the ocean, but at the same time it could never have separate existence from the ocean since every moment it will be dependent on the waves of the Ocean. Kindly, be mindful that we have given the above simile in the context of the Soul only, but the Self and Attributes of Allah are beyond any description or explanation and it is impossible to explain any attribute of Allah with any human word. The Attributes of Allah are unlimited, and each attribute of Allah is also unlimited in its own right. The people were given limited knowledge of the attributes. Though attributes of Allah are based in the Self of Allah, but they are not the Self of Allah; the Self encircles the attributes. The knowledge given from presence of Allah is sufficient enough to let man have highest cognition of the Creator. If the features of this divine knowledge came before our eyes, they would be in the form of a light - a Noor or light which encircles motion and activities from infinity to eternity. They are asking you concerning the Soul. Say: The Soul is by command of my Lord, and of knowledge you have been given but little Quran 17:85 There are verses in the Quran which discuss the start of conscious before our birth in this world. They reveal to the believers who have faith in the truth that we humans did not

60

only exist before our birth on earth, but we also knew and recognized our Sustainer. Furthermore, in that world of souls we made a covenant with Him that we shall obey Him alone. When your Lord drew forth from the Children of Adam from their loins their descendants, and made them testify concerning them, (saying): "Am I not your cherisher and sustainer?"- They said: "Yes! We do testify!" (This was done), lest you should say on the Day of Judgment: "Of this (reality) we were unaware": Or lest ye should say: (It is) only (that) our fathers ascribed partners to Allah of old and we were (their) seed after them (so we followed them unaware). Will You (Allah) destroy us on account of that which those who follow falsehood did? Thus we detail the revelations, that per chance they may return (to the truth). - Quran 7:172-174 "Did I not take a covenant from you, O you Children of Adam, that you should not worship Satan; for that he is your open enemy? But that you worship Me? That is the right path Quran 36:60-61

61

This covenant reveals a spiritual life before birth. The Prophets and friends of Allah came on this earth for the purpose of reminding human beings of their covenant to Allah and also to renew or restore their cognizance of Allah ( .) A supreme level of cognizance of Allah provides abilities of creation and administration without material means.

62

What are the Attributes of the Blessed Ones?

A delicate reference in the Quran given below tells us that when Allah, the Almighty, bestows knowledge of the Book upon his friends, they do not receive just passive knowledge. Instead, they hear recording of The Book in the form of audio ( )and also see it in a far better form than any three dimensional video which they call Kashf-o-Shuhud ( .) In fact, in Kashf-o-Shuhud they see themselves to be the very recording and see themselves in every particle of the whole universe. We cannot describe this spiritual incident in human words any further. However, Allah has made a reference to it as sighting the knowledge of the unseen in this ayah: Has he knowledge of the Unseen so that he can see? Quran 53:34 We should not be confused about status of the friends of Allah. Definitely, only messenger prophets ( ) were the chosen ones of Allah through whom, Allah established or sometimes amended His codes of life (Shariah) in the world. However, there is another class of people called Auliya Allah in the Quran whose attributes Allah describes in following words:

63

By men whom neither merchandise nor sale can divert from the Remembrance of Allah, nor from regular Prayer, nor from the practice of regular Charity: Their (only) fear is a day when hearts and eyeballs will be overturned Quran 24:37 Such pious friends of Allah who adopted extreme piety (Sufistic life) and abstinence ( ) were people like Baba Tajuddin Nagpuri in India, Baba Farid Ganaj Shakar in Pakistan in whose name is Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Hazret Abdul Qadir Gilani (1077-1166 A.D) in Iraq, Hazret Moinuddin Chishti (1141-1230 A.D), Hazret Bha-ud-din Zakariya (1170-1267 A.D) in whose name is the largest university in south Punjab, Hazret Lal Shahbaz Qalandar (11771274), Hazret Nizamuddin Auliya (1238-1325), Hazret Sheikh Mastufa of Iraq in Serbia, Hazret Abul Hassan Ali Hujvery (Daata Ganaj baksh from 990-1077), Hazret Hajji Hud (10251141 A.D), my teachers Hazret Qalandar Baba Auliya of Buland Shehar, India and Hazret Khawaja Shamsuddin Azeemi in Karachi, and also many other Sufi Saints of Iraq, Syria, Iran, India and Pakistan etc., who established religion of truth in the world. These and many other friends of Allah were inspired by Allah and given guidance to implement the Shariah brought by Mohammad (blessings of Allah upon him), the last prophet of Allah. In order to understand these people and their quality of life, their Salat, service of sacrifice, life and death, we must have a mindset at least somewhat similar to theirs; otherwise, we cannot be in a position to understand them or their attributes.

64

Say: "Truly, my prayer and my service of sacrifice, my life and my death, are (all) for Allah, the Cherisher of the Worlds Quran 6:162 Friends of Allah do not say anything new nor amend the existing Shariah or divine law; they just make the life easy for themselves and other people with the help of ideas originating from Allah and His Book (.) True believers have a belief that satanic inspirations come to humans on minute to minute basis and they even recite a verse of Quran to be guarded from such inspirations. However, the deceived people and scholars who have only bookish knowledge and who have not been blessed with knowledge by Allah have a problem - a serious problem indeed; they cannot accept this fact that Allah, forever Omni-potent and all-knowing can inspire people with thoughts and ideas that can make a difference in the lives of people ideas and inspirations which are in perfect harmony with existing shariah or divine law. This attitude of people is in our understanding a gross violation of true faith (deen-ul-Haq). Allah tells us that since they reject spiritual content of the true faith ( ,) so they throw arrows of doubts on the unseen from a far off distance.

65

What are the Benefits of knowledge of the Book? Due to the knowledge of the Book given by Allah, the angel of death knows in advance someones name, address and time of death before he reaches to take their soul. But a man who has no conscious knowledge of his death remains busy in his usual activities of life; smiling, laughing, playing, sinning and being arrogant, not knowing his death is near.
Therefore, unseen ( )of people is revealed through Wahi ( )and becomes Given knowledge (Ilm-e-luduni ()) from the presence of Allah for the angel of death. Allah, according to His own criterion, reveals unseen ( )to His messenger prophets and messenger angels through revelation ( ,)through inspiration ( )to His friends and through inspiration and true dreams ( ) to other creatures, ordinary people, animals, insects and birds. All great scientists, poets, musicians, revolutionists etc., are inspired by Allah in their thoughts, dreams and imaginations; they receive inspirations from Allah of The Book about the things to come which already exist in it. Prophet Mohammad (blessings of Allah upon him) was told in the following verse that unseen ( )was being revealed to him by revelation ( .)Hence, Allah does reveal unseen and only He reserves the right to do so.

66

Such are news of the unseen (Gaib ,)which We have revealed unto you: before this, neither you nor thy people knew them. So persevere patiently: for the (good) End is for those who are righteous Quran 11:49 Allah chooses messengers (of unseen) from angels and from men, for Allah is He Who hears and sees (all things) Quran 22:75

We have mentioned earlier that unseen is not only revealed to prophets, but it is also revealed to ordinary people and even insects on daily basis for their own benefit and guidance. Quran quotes an example of the King of Egypt in the time of Prophet Yusuf (blessing of Allah upon him) to whom seven consecutive years of drought was revealed through a dream. Of course he was not a prophet of God by any coincidence. Then the Black Magic was also revealed to two angels Harut and Marut who descended down in the civilization of Babel: And the king (of Egypt) said: Lo! I saw in a dream seven fat cows which seven lean were eating, and seven green ears of corn and other (seven) dry. O notables! Expound for me my vision, if you can interpret dreams Quran 12:43

67

Solomon disbelieved not; but the devils disbelieved by teaching mankind (black) magic and that which was revealed to the two angels, Harut and Marut in Babel Quran 2:102 Deceived scholars formed an air of public opinion in the footsteps of Satan according to which it is believed that inspirations from Allah are only about religious matters and they are specific to prophets only. But, this is a false doctrine based on ignorance and misguidance! All human beings are needy of guidance from Allah in all walks of life. We have already quoted few examples from Quran, and now we shall quote more examples from Quran and Hadis to prove that Allah does reveal unseen to prophets and even to those people who are not prophets alike regarding spiritual and worldly affairs. Allah gives us examples of Hazret Isa (Jesus Christ), Hazret Khizar who was a friend of Allah, Mohammad (blessings of Allah upon them) and a friend of Allah in the court of Prophet Suleiman (A.S) who had knowledge of The Book to make us understand that He reveals it to anyone He chooses for His friendship. For instance, Jesus Christ could tell to people what they had in their stomachs and what they stored in their houses. Certainly, Jesus (blessings of Allah upon him) could not see food in the stomachs or the Unseen if Allah did not reveal it to him by inspiration.

68

(1). And (Allah) will make (Jesus) him a messenger unto the Children of Israel, (saying): Lo! I come unto you with a sign from your Lord. Lo! I fashion for you out of clay the likeness of a bird, and I breathe into it and it is a bird, by Allah's leave. I heal him who was born blind, and the leper, and I raise the dead, by Allah's leave. And I announce unto you what you eat and what you store up in your houses. Lo! Therein verily is a sign for you, if you are to be believers Quran 3:49 (2). When the Prophet (Mohammad) disclosed a matter in confidence to one of his wives, and she then divulged it (to another), and Allah made it known to him (the prophet), he confirmed part thereof and passed over a part. Then when he told her thereof, she said, "Who told you this?"He said, "He told me Who knows and is well-acquainted (with all things)." 66:3 (3). Then, while Prophet Musa was in the company of Hazret Khizar (A.S) and he was being taught by him, Hazret Khizar made a hole in a boat, killed an innocent child and

69

reconstructed a wall without taking payment. Hazret Musa, who was a Prophet of Allah, became very disturbed when he saw this and started arguing with him; Hazret Khizar (A.S) became very annoyed and refused to keep him in his company any further. However, before they parted, Hazret Khizar gave him following explanation for his deeds. It is very clear from his explanation that unseen was revealed to him before he performed those acts. I will announce unto you the interpretation of that you could not bear with patience. As for the ship, it belonged to poor people working on the river, and I wished to destroy it, for there was a king behind them who is taking every ship by force. "As for the youth, his parents were people of faith, and we feared that he would grieve them by obstinate rebellion and ingratitude (to Allah and his parents)."So we desired that their Lord would give them in exchange (a son) better in purity (of conduct) and closer in affection. "As for the wall, it belonged to two youths, orphans, in the Town; there was, beneath it, a buried treasure, to which they were entitled: their father had been a righteous man: So your Lord desired that they should attain their age of full strength and take out their treasure - a mercy (and favor) from thy Lord. I did it not of my own accord. Such is the interpretation of (those things) over which you was unable to have patience." Quran 18:78-82

(4). Narrated Ibn `Abbas: Allah's Apostle passed by two graves and said, "Both of them (persons in the grave) are being tortured, and they are not being tortured for a major sin. This

70

one used not to save himself from being soiled with his urine, and the other used to go about with slander (among the people to rouse hostilities). The Prophet then asked for a green leaf of a date-palm tree, split it into two pieces and planted one on each grave and said, "It is hoped that their punishment may be lessened till those two pieces of the leaf get dried." (Hadith No 2:215, 2:217, 2:443, 2:460, Vol 1). - Sahih Bukhari: 1.217: Volume 1, Bk. 4: Ablutions (Wudu') (5). Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) let the dead bodies of the unbelievers who fought in Badr (lie unburied) for three days. He then came to them and sat by their side and called them and said: O Abu Jahl b. Hisham, O Umayya b. Khalaf, O Utba b. Rab'ila, O Shaiba b. Rabi'a, have you not found what your Lord had promised with you to be correct? As for me, I have found the promises of my Lord to be (perfectly) correct. Omar listened to the words of Allah's Apostle (May blessings of Allah be upon him) and said: Allah's Messenger, how do they listen and respond to you? They are dead and their bodies have decayed. Thereupon he (the Holy Prophet) said: By Him in Whose Hand is my life, what I am saying to them, even you cannot hear more distinctly than they, but they lack the power to reply. Then he commanded that they should be buried in the well of Badr - Sahih Muslim, Hadis Number: 6869 (6). Dawud ibn Salih ( ) said: "(The governor of Medina) Marwan ibn al-Hakam ( ) one day saw a man placing his face on top of the grave of the Prophet (

71

.) He said: "Do you know what you are doing?" When

he came near him, he realized it was (companion of Prophet Mohammad blessings of Allah upon him) Abu Ayyub al-Ansari ( .) The latter ( Abu Ayyub al-Ansari - )said: "Yes; I came to the Prophet ( ,) not to a stone." This Hadis is mentioned in (i) Ibn Hibban in his Sahih, (ii) Ahmad (5:422), (iii) Al-Tabarani in his Mu'jam al-Kabir (4:189) and his Awsat (iv) According to Haythami in al-Zawa'id (5:245 and 5:441 #5845 Book of Hajj, "Section on the honoring of the dwellers of Medina, chapter on placing one's face against the grave of our Master the Prophet ( ") and #9252 Book of Khilafa, "Chapter on the leadership of those unworthy of it"), (v) al-Haakim in his Mustadrak (4:515); (vi) ad-Dhahabi said it was Sahih, (vii) as-Subki in Shifa' al-Siqam (p. 126) and (viii) Ibn Taymiyya in al-Muntaqa (2:261 f.). (7). Daarmi wrote: When Yazid bin Muawiya attacked Madinah, there was no Adhan or Jamaat (congregational prayers) in Masjid an-Nabawi ( ) for three days. Saeed Ibn Musayab states, I stayed in Masjid an-Nabawi ( ) for the three days and pretended to be Majnun (mad) and for every prayer, I heard the Adhan from the blessed grave of the Prophet ( ( .) Daarmi, chapter on Fadail-e-Nabi ( .) Imam Ibn-e-Taymiyya wrote: Ibn Musayabs listening of the Adhan from the Prophets ( ) grave or the returning of Salaam from the

72

graves of the Auliya Allah, is truth (Haqq) and we believe in it. (Iqtida as Sirat al-Mustaqim, page 373.) (8). Ad-Dhahabi, a famous Salafi Scholar wrote: that the famous Tabii, Simaq bin Harb said that: 'My sight was gone and I was completely blind. I prayed a lot and one night when I was sleeping, I saw in my dream Prophet Ibrahim ( .) I said to Ibrahim, my sight is gone and what should I do? Prophet Ibrahim ( ) said go to the river Forat and wash your face in the river and your sight should return. When I washed my face in the river, my sight returned and I saw eighty companions of the Prophet ( ) with that sight. (9). Ibn Abd al-Wahab an-Najdi at-Tamimi has mentioned this Hadis in his book "Ahkam Tamanni al-Mawt": A young boy used to do (a lot) of prayers in Masjid. However, one woman fell in love with him and she started to attract him towards herself until one day he got persuaded and came to her house. But he recalled these Quranic verses (41:36): And if (at any time) an incitement to discord is made to you by the Evil One, seek refuge in Allah. He is the One Who hears and knows all things. Then he fainted right over there. When he recovered he remembered the verse again and fainted once again but this time he passed away. After his death Hazret Omar ( )met his father being saddened at his death. The boy was buried during the night. Hazret Omar ( ) took his companions along with him and visited his grave. He prayed there and called the boy saying: Whosoever feared to stand in

73

front of his Lord then there are two gardens for him! A voice came from the grave saying: O Omar ( ,) Allah ( ) has granted me both the gardens. (Tafseer Ibn Kathir, under verse 7-201). Allah tells us in the following verses of Quran that He has put great restriction upon all His creatures to know anything from His knowledge (called the Open Book or ) but only as much as He allows, and content of the Loh-e-Mehfuz (meaning Protected Tablet) is highly protected from free access by anyone. However, it is not only a great sin but also great nonsense to even imagine that Allah is included in this restriction, or He is limited by time and space to reveal it to any person, man, Jinn or any other living being; such an idea of disbelief ( )is a gross violation of belief ( )in Allah and His Omni-potency. They (all the creatures including prophets and angels) encompass nothing from His knowledge except what He permits (through revelation and inspiration) 2:255 Prophet Mohammad (Blessings of Allah upon him) is the final prophet of Allah, Quran is the Last Testament, and Religion of Truth is the final way of life. There will be no new prophet of Allah after him.

74

It is He (Allah) Who has sent His Messenger with Guidance and the Religion of Truth, that he may make it conqueror of all religions, even though the polytheists may dislike it Quran 61:9 Believers ask Allah for (inspirational )guidance at least forty eight times during Salat daily. But then, most of the illinformed scholars reject the idea that Allah can send guidance to those who firmly believe in Allah - guidance which is within the parameters of the divine law brought by Mohammad (Blessings of Allah upon him). According to many verses in Quran and also modern research, Allah reveals unseen to His creatures on daily basis for their survival. For instance, salmon, a small fish, under navigational guidance from Allah travels thousands of kilometers through sea, river, rivulet and path of land for the survival of its species. To humans this guidance is always within the parameters of existing religion. But to other creatures, such as for the air to lift water drops from oceans and make clouds and hail, the guidance of Allah comes according to their needs or the work assigned by Allah to them. Of course the birds flying in the air cannot offer Salat (Namaz) like human beings or wrap their wings to their breast, but Allah inspires even them a way of offering Salat. We just pass by the verses of Quran and either we do not want to think or we are simply blind. Since the people are not well versed in the knowledge of The Book, they cannot differentiate between inspiration from Allah and

75

inspiration from devils; they mistake one for the other. This is fatal for their faith. Allah openly says in the Quran: Have you not seen that it is Allah Whom all who that are in the heavens and the earth praise, and the birds in their flight? Each one knows verily its Salat ( )and the praise ( ;)and, Allah is Aware of what they do Quran 24:41 Definitely, when Allah uses the word unseen, he doesnt point to a void or non-existing thing. However, people in the darkness of their ignorance consider it void. This void is relative to them and exists inside their ignorance. Whereas, friends of Allah consider the unseen or Gaib to be the record of the knowledge of Allah about visible and invisible, past, present and future things. Prophet Ibrahim (A.S) said to his father in Quran: I know from God what you do not know. The reference here is to the revealed knowledge of the unseen. Allah has sent the (password) keys of the unseen ( )in the form of Huruf-e-Mutaqatiat of the Quran; none but Allah knows them, and none but Allah can reveal their meanings. The verses of Quran are transcribed version of the Protected Tablet (Loh-e-Mehfuz) and a portion of the Open Record (Kitabil

76

Mobeen). In order to know a portion of unseen ( )which Allah has revealed in the Quran through Prophet Mohammad (blessings of Allah upon him), we must meditate in the Quran and pray to Allah to allow us access to the codes of secrets. For this reason Allah tells Muhammad (Blessings of Allah upon him.) that it is His responsibility to explain to him and his followers the secrets behind the verses of Quran. But they must meditate in the revealed verses of the Quran and do their part of the job. Do not they (the people) meditate in Quran? (O Mohammad!) Move not your tongue concerning the (Qur'an) to make haste with it. Upon us lies the responsibility of its collection (in your heart) and its recitation. And when We read it, you follow the reading. Then it is for us to explain it (and make it clear) Quran 75:16-19 Anyone who does not read, meditate and follow the Quran on daily basis live their life by philosophies because only Quran gives us a true foundation for full and wholesome life. Every idea or ideology which is outside the domain of Quranic content is fictitious philosophy and it is far removed from reality.

77

The knowledge of the Book about the things to come, for example what will happen in your life tomorrow and things bygone, for example what you did yesterday, keep slipping from invisible ( )into manifestation ( )and from manifestation they again become unseen ( )at the will of Allah. Allah, the almighty at His Will makes the unseen () film of Loh-e-Mehfuz unfold into events and incidents. He also reveals this Unseen by revelation ( ,)vision ( ,) prophetic dream ( ) and divine ideas to pious ones such as prophets of Allah, Auliya Allah, angels and all created beings as much as He wishes. These facts are spiritual content of Quran the book which is no less a reminder to the (residents of all the) worlds (38:87, 68:52, 81:27). Without knowing and understanding the spiritual content of the Quran and receiving inspirational guidance from Allah, we can never become truly guided ones and neither could Prophet Mohammad (Blessings of Allah upon him). Allah tells us through the tongue of His prophet. Allah wants to guide us by His knowledge for our own benefit and salvation.

Say (O Mohammad): "If I am astray, I only stray to the loss of my own soul: but if I receive guidance, it is because of the inspiration of my Lord to me: it is He Who hears all things, and is (ever) near." Quran 34:53

78

Thats why Allah advised him the following supplication in the Quran to receive more inspirational guidance from Him: And say (O Mohammad): My Lord! Increase me in knowledge. Quran 20:114 In the end we may conclude that the unseen ( )which Allah knows, we do not and cannot know without His permission: His Knowledge is unseen (Gaib), but not forever so. For example, your date of birth and gender were unknown () to your parents once, but now it is manifest reality ( )for them.
