This course will introduce several different aspects of the obligatory prayers including their times, number of units, and the movements in prayer. manhaj as-salikeenThe student will gain a clear concise understanding of when and how to establish these prayers in his/her life thereby getting close to Allah upon knowledge. In this course the student will gain a basic understanding of the Eid, Jummah, Janazah, manhaj as-salikeenTaraweeh, Istikharah prayers. When and how to establish these prayers will be covered along with the importance of each. This course will introduce the jurisprudence of marriage and divorce giving the student a clear manhaj as-salikeen idea of how to pursue either one in an appropriate manner. In this course the student will gain basic tools to develop and maintain a successful marriage. Focus will be on relationship management and how to avoid the common pitfalls that destroy marriages thereby producing a strong muslim household.

In this course the student will experiment with various types of water and be able to discern the pure and impure between them. Students will manhaj as-salikeen acquire knowledge of the practical methods of performing ablution and mandatory bathing along with fiqh matters associated with them. This course will introduce the 3rd pillar of Islam, the mandatory charity. The student will gain basic manhaj as-salikeen working knowledge of how to calculate the amount of charity due on present-day wealth. In this course the student will learn about fasting, manhaj as-salikeenits types, times, and manners. Emphasis will be placed on fasting the month of Ramadan and the issues that are attributed to it. In this course the student will be introduced to the rites of Hajj and Umrah. The student will gain a manhaj as-salikeenpractical working knowledge of Hajj and Umrah allowing him/her to perform its rituals in an acceptable manner. This course opens the doors to the world of financial transactions such as loaning, borrowing, buying, selling and their rulings. Students will also be introduced to personal financial management and how to wisely balance their budgets. (Walking away with a strong sense that money does matter)

the objective of this course is to give an enriching account of the life and struggle of our beloved Prophet(saw) as he propagated Islam while touching on the most important events in his life showing a parallel between his society and modern day society and the monumental impact of these events in forming the Islamic empire this course will summarize the lives and accomplishments of the 5 rightly guided khulifah( abu bakr, umar, uthman, ali, hassan) while they were khalifah. It will also analyze the reasons of their success. After the re-unification of the arab peninsula, students will gain insight on the justifications for the actions of all differing parties of the sahaba without diminishing their superiority over all other muslims. the development of islamic government will also be a focus of the course outlining the reign of the Islamic empire as it surpassed the two greatest empires of its time(persia and rome), simultaneously. No other dynasty in the islamic empire conquered as much land as the Umayyad dynasty. This course will illustrate their contribution to the spread of Islam and its cultivation in the newly conquered lands and shed light upon the reasons for the success of the coup d'etat that ended their rule and led to the rule of the abbasid dynasty. This course picks up where the Umayyad dynasty left off as the Muslim nation begins to split facing both internal and external challenges from the many newly formed religious sects and rapidly growing empire. The student will follow the Abbasid rulers on a very turbulent trip through a period of over 500 years concluding with a comparative analysis of the decision making in this period with solutions provided in the Quran and Sunnah.
