Marketing Plan Report 1.

Overview of the Project

High Ground Nepal is the first company to bring the experience of zip-line in Nepal for the first time. The company will have the first mover advantage in marketing the project. Basically we will try to reach wide range of audience through efficient and effective marketing. As zip-line itself is a unique product in itself, using innovative way of marketing the product will make the product stand as unique from others. Marketing tools never used before in the country should be used to make the marketing of the product a success. 2. Marketing Strategy and Objectives

Target market Basically the target market would be the tourists coming to Nepal. As Nepal is a growing adventure sports destination, tourists coming to Nepal are willing to try out various adventure sports in the country. With adventure sports like bungee jumping, rafting, kayaking, canoeing, paragliding already running well and fine in the country a zip-line would be an ultimate choice for the tourists visiting the country. Beside the international tourists, local tourists are also potential targets specially the youths. College going student are more willing to go for adventure sports and with the number of youngsters trying the bungee jump, rafting and other adventure sports, a zip-line would bring a new challenge for these adventure freaks. 3. a. Marketing plan Outdoor Branding i. Blimp Advertisement High visibility means high impact. Imagine the attention giant advertising balloon standing one stories tall will generate! Advertising balloons are great for grand openings and are constant reminders about sales events, new products, promotions, etc. Advertising balloons bring traffic which result in more sales. It is a hot air balloon flying in the air which would carry the logo of the company and the zip-line tag on it. If we could manage to get a night blimp (a night blimp shines in darkness), it would be an added advantage and innovative way of marketing the brand. Never before companies in Nepal have tried to market a product through night blimps.

ii. Airport Branding As most of the tourists in Nepal come through the airport, it is a focal point for marketing the product. Branding the airport with the product information would work wonders for the company as it is the entry point of the country and there is no chance that a tourist will miss the endorsed product. iii. Aircraft Branding As a lot of tourists use airway to travel various parts of the company. Branding the aircraft can be an effective tool. Again as least companies use this way of marketing in the country, high ground Nepal will be able to stand on a different level with this way of advertising. It has been used as an effective tool for marketing in various countries. A leaflet in the aircraft and the name in the seat covers would help recognize the company. It will establish the company with a different class and level.

iv. Buses, Trucks & Micros Greenline buses are the market leaders in tourist bus service providers. Buses run on the route to and from Kathamandu, Pokhara and Chitwan. As a lot of tourists use Greenline Buses to travel to various places, the buses can be used as a fine marketing tool. The reason you see so many vehicles emblazoned with advertising is that it works; vehicle advertising is very visible.

b. Online i. Social Networking sites Social networking has become very popular in today's society. Many people will sign up for multiple social networking websites like Facebook, Myspace or Twitter. There are many different types of social networking websites but these are some of the most popular social networking sites. Ads on these websites would be an effective way to access the target market. ii. iii. Blogs

ii.

Newspaper and Press Releases Newspaper ads on national dailies will be published on the launch to let people know about HIGH GROUND NEPAL. As our target market is not the local people giving newspaper ads wont be very much effective. Few ads will do the job for the company. As Himalayan Times and Kantipur are the more preferred newspaper in the valley, giving a half page ads on both the news paper will be effective.

iii.

Posters Posters will be an effective means for promoting the brand to the target market. As our target market in the country will be the youths/college going students, having posters in colleges will help to gain a name for the company. Beside most students know only about The Last Resort, posters in the colleges will be very effective. As the posters will not cost a lot of money and we will only to go specific colleges to promote, it will be a cost saving method for marketing the brand.

iv.

TV Show One of the TV show in a local channel is about the adventure sports in the country. They cover the event and broadcast it. If only we could get in touch with the crew of this TV show, it would work wonders for us. It is a one hour show and there is a lot we can cover. The show is quite famous in the country as a lot of people watch it. Let us get in touch with the crew of the show and take an advantage for marketing the brand.

d. Press Conference

Press Conference is important to launch a product of such high caliber and investment. A press conference will give us the opportunity to access maximum consumers with least effot. Two press conferences, one is Kathmandu before the launch of the zip-line and the other in Pokhara during the launch will be effective. All the major media houses would be invited for the press conference including news channels and national dailies. e. f. 4. 5. 6. Viral Marketing Agents Implementation plan and Timeline Additional Considerations Summary

Hello, I am Bishal Newar from Kathmandu, Nepal. MY company "High Ground Nepal" is launching the worlds steepest and highest (altitude) zip-line in the world. I wanted to know if I could write something about the new sport in my country on your website so that people can know about the unique extreme sport in my country. Please do respond, am looking for a positive response from your side. Thank you

Balloon Advertising - Get your company name, phone # and website address printed onto balloons. These are fairly cheap, usually around .03-.07 cents each (1,000 balloons for about $70 dollars). Make sure to put the services/products you offer with a special call-to-action. You can then distribute the balloons at local events, charities, birthday parties, etc...thus giving your business lots of exposure.
! What is a cold air balloon? A cold air or roof mounted balloon is one which is inflated and pressurized by a continuously running electric fan. Customize your balloon with your company logo, graphics or message on a detachable banner that can be mounted on the balloon with velcro. With remarkable new lighting systems and fabric technology we are able to illuminate many inflatables at night so you can get 24 hours of exposure. All inflatables are made in the USA and come with one year warranty.

Customized T-shirts - Everybody wears t-shirts and would gladly accept a FREE one. But don't do the usual thing here; make your message stand out! I like the controversial angle...make your message 'unforgettable'. College Campuses - Most of your college campuses generally have days where they'll allow vendors to come out and setup tables. We did this at Spelman College here in Atlanta when we

were in the cell-phone & pager business. We made a killing. These kids have access to money and credit cards and are willing to spend money. Booths typically cost $50 and you'll see many other vendors there too. 7. Vehicle advertising. small business advertising. If youre not ready for custom graphics or a magnet quad sign that sit atop your vehicle, go for a magnetic sign that you can take off when you want.
