(APPOINTMENT OF TEACHERS) Accompaniment to the Advertisement No. 46 dated 13.12.2012 for Teaching Positions in the Academic Staff College of the University of Pune. (Tenure posts (upto 31.03.2017) sanctioned by University Grant Commission th under XII Five year Plan for Academic Staff College and likely to be continuation of the scheme by University Grants Commission.) Apply online during the period from 14.12.2012 to 15.01.2013 and then please submit the hard copy of the printout of the application form along with all enclosures on or before 21.01.2013 in the University office. General/Minimum Qualifications: Professor/Director : A. (i) An eminent scholar with Ph.D. qualification in the any discipline and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with a minimum of 10 publications as books and/or research/policy papers. (ii) A minimum of 10 years of teaching experience in university/college, and/or experience in research at the University / National Level institutions / industries, including experience of guiding candidates for research at doctoral level. (iii) Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology mediated teaching learning process. (iv) A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) developed by UGC in the Regulations, 2010. OR B. An outstanding professional, with established reputation in the relevant field, who has made significant contribution to the knowledge in the any discipline, to be substantiated by credentials.

Assistant Professor : (i) Good academic record as defined by the concerned University with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Masters degree level in a subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University. (ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET / SET. (iii) Candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph.D. degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedures for award of Ph.D Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET. (iv) NET/SLET/SET shall not be required for such Masters Degree Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET accredited test is not conducted. General Terms and conditions as regards qualifications :
i) A minimum of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) will be required at the Masters level for those recruited as teachers at any level from industries and research institutions and at the entry level of Assistant Professor, Assistant Librarians, Assistant Directors of Physical Education and Sports. A relaxation of 5% may be provided at the graduate and masters level for the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Differently-abled (Physically and visually differently-abled) categories for the purpose of eligibility and for assessing good academic record during direct recruitment to teaching positions. The eligibility marks of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and the relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above are permissible, based on only the qualifying marks without including any grace mark procedures. A relaxation of 5% may be provided, from 55% to 50% of the marks to the Ph.D. Degree holders, who have obtained their Masters degree prior to 19th September, 1991. Relevant grade which is regarded as equivalent of 55% wherever the grading system is followed by recognized university shall also be considered eligible. The period of time taken by candidates to acquire M.Phil. and/or Ph.D. Degree shall not be considered as teaching / research experience to be claimed for appointment to the teaching positions.

NOTES: Important points to be borne in mind before filling in Application Form. 1. Non creamy layer certificate belong to the DT-A, NT-B, NT-C, NT-D, OBC & SBC categories as per Government of Maharashtra Circular No. CBC 10/2006/ Pra.Kra. 15/ MAVAK 5 dated 5th June 2006. Annexure "B" collectively : Documents related to educational qualifications, such as Degree / Diploma Certificates, Statements of Marks of the relevant examinations (both side photocopies of the statement of marks), any other certificate relating to the educational qualifications. Annexure "C" collectively : (I) Approval letter/s. (II) Appointment Order/s in case of University Teacher. (III) Certificate/s of teaching experience and / or postdoctoral research. Annexure "D" collectively : Testimonials (Minimum two) Annexure "E" collectively : List of Publications as Books and/or research/policy papers along with relevant extracts of the same. Annexure "F" collectively : Relevant documents in support of experience of guiding doctoral candidates and research students. Annexure "G" collectively : Documents in support of showing contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses and technology-mediated teaching learning process. The original certificates would be required at the time of interview only. As per the Notification No.SRV.2000/CR(17/2000)XII dated 28th March 2005 issued by General Administration Department, Mantralaya, Mumbai, a candidate shall submit the declaration of the small family in the prescribed proforma attached with Application form as Declaration Form-A. As per the Notification No. CBC-10/2010/Pra.Kra.47/Mavak-5 dated 26th March 2010 a candidate belonging to the reserved category and apply for the reserved post shall submit their Caste Validity certificate at the time of joining. Relevant experience will be counted as on the last date of receipt of applications. For reserved posts, the candidates belonging to the concerned reserved category only should apply. Application forms should be accompanied with a non-refundable Demand Draft of Rs. 500/- (for Open Category) and Rs. 250/- (for reserved category candidates), of nationalized bank drawn in favour of the Registrar, University of Pune, payable at Pune. Candidates already employed, should submit their applications through proper channel. The envelope containing application forms should be super scribed by Application for the post of ___________ in the Academic Staff College. The University will not entertain any inquiry regarding eligibility criteria. Candidates belonging to the reserved categories as recognized in the State of Maharashtra shall only be considered under reserved categories. The candidate belonging to the reserved categories from outside the state of Maharashtra will be treated as Open. Applications incomplete in any respect and those received after the last date of receipt of application will not be considered.
