ACC WOMENS CRICKET TOURNAMENT 2007, MALAYSIA TOURNAMENT GUIDELINES Host

The Malaysian Cricket Association (MCA) is the host organizer of the ACC Womens Cricket Tournament 2007 on behalf of Asian Cricket Council. The tournament will be played in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. Tournament Date
The tournament will take place from 11 July to 18 July 2007. Total 15 matches of 30 overs will be played during this period. The teams are to arrive on 9 July to attend the meetings on 10 July 2007. Arrangement will be made for practice sessions for the teams after receiving their flight itinerary.

Each group will played a round robin and the top two teams from each group will qualify for semi-finals. There will not be any play-off matches. Squads
A 17-member (14 players + 3 officials Manager, Coach and Physio) squad is to arrive at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for this tournament. The onward journey from KLIA airport to Johor Bahru by luxury bus will be arranged by the organizers. The journey by bus will take about 3-1/2 hours. ACC will be responsible for their accommodation, internal transport and daily allowances during the tournament. Additional members are also allowed at the expense of the respective Cricket Boards/Associations.

ACC Team Registration


Registration for the 17 member squad (14 Players + 3 Officials) and 4 Reserve players has to be submitted to the ACC in the prescribed format latest by 20 June 2007 by email or fax. The team management is to hand over the hard copy of the registration form duly signed by the President/Chairman of the Cricket Association to the organizing committee on arrival. The reserve players may only replace players from the original squad of 14 prior to the commencement of the tournament on medical grounds or in exceptional circumstances. An approval from the Tournament Technical Committee is required to replace a player from the original squad.

Player Eligibility
ICC Qualification Rules for International Cricket Matches will be applicable for this event and will be strictly followed throughout the tournament. The cut-off date for 2-Year Residents is 1st July 2007. Please note that there is no restriction on fielding the number of 2 year resident nationals for womens tournament and a team can field all their 11 players under this category. A separate declaration from players has to be submitted to ACC/Tournament Technical Committee in the prescribed format (enclosed format by attachment) together with the required documents.

International Air Travel


Travel subsidy for International Air Travel will be provided to every team (except Bangladesh, Singapore and Malaysia) participating in the tournament. ACC will transfer the allotted amount for each team to their Cricket Boards/Associations bank account directly. The Cricket Board/Association of each participating team is responsible for arranging flight tickets for their squad members to arrive in Kuala Lumpur on 9 July 2007 and a return flight booking has to be made for 17 July 2007. The four countries that do not qualify for the semifinals will leave on 17 July 2007. The losers of semi-finals will leave for their counties on 18 July 2007 and the finalists will depart on 19 July 2007.

Hotel Accommodation
7 twin sharing rooms for players and 3 single rooms for officials on bed & breakfast basis will be provided to each team from 9 July 2007 until departure. Complementary laundry of 6 pieces per day will be provided to each member of the team. Teams are to bear the cost of accommodation for overstay if any. Lunch will be provided at the venue on match days. All teams will be accommodated at The Zon Regency Hotel. Internal Transport
Internal Transport for the teams such as airport transfer (KLIA airport to Johor and back), hotel to match/practice venues and back etc will be provided to the teams.

Liaison Officers
The organizers will appoint Liaison Officers for each team for the duration of the tournament to take care of the interest and welfare of the team. They will stay in the same hotel where the teams are accommodated.

Daily Allowance
Each member of your 17-member squad will be paid Daily Allowance in Malaysian Ringgit from the date of arrival until departure. Team Managers are responsible to collect the D/A from the officials appointed by the organizers and to distribute among their squad members.

Additional Members
Information should reach us in advance in case of additional members accompanying the teams. Accommodation will be arranged for them according to your instructions. In that case all the expenses should be settled directly by the Team Managers before departure. No D/A will be provided to the additional members.

Clothing

The participating countries are responsible for providing Colour Clothing/Kit for the players and the cost thereof has to be borne by the respective Cricket Associations. The Event Logo to be placed at the upper right chest of the players shirts is enclosed by attachment.

Insurance
Participating Nations are responsible to obtain their own travel and medical cover for the event. Any medical expenses incurred during the event will be at the expense of participating nations.

Medical
Each team is responsible for its own medical costs including physiotherapy and dental requirements. The host organizers will provide on-ground medical facilities that will be available to all team members. In the event of any medical services that are required after the match hours the respective Liaison Officer will assist with such arrangements for visitation of medical personnel and all expenses related to this will have to be borne by the respective team management.

Balls
White Cricket Balls of standard brand will be used for this tournament. The weight and circumference of the ball will be in accordance with the ICC specification for Womens Cricket. Each team will be given 6 balls for practice on arrival.

Technical Committee
A Technical Committee comprising officials of Asian Cricket Council and Malaysian Cricket Association will be formed and their decisions on technical matters will be final. However team members have the right of appeal against the decision of Technical Committee. In such case the Team Managers shall lodge the appeal to the ACC Chief Executive within 4 hours of notification to the Team Managers of the Technical Committees decision.

Flight Details
Participating Teams are requested to send us their flight details, rooming list and dietary requirements as per the enclosed format by 1st July 2007. The teams will be received at the airport by the Co-ordinator and the respective Liaison Officers appointed by the organizers. Neither ACC nor the Organizers will be responsible for any inconveniences cause to the teams due to the lack of proper information from the Cricket Association of the participating teams.

Visa Requirements

A formal invitation letter will be sent to all participating nations by the Malaysian Cricket Association for applying visa for the team members. Detailed visa request letter stating the names of the squad members will be sent to the respective Malaysian Embassy/High Commission after the receipt of Team Registration Form from the participating countries.
